not sure if I bought the defeat or overstock product on eBay.(the box looks old too) The texture is very running with a strange smell. A first the texture seems a little similar to MUFE face and body foundation. However the liquid does not seem blend well itself as shown in the photo I uploaded.
I strongly don't recommend buying this foundation on eBay because I had noticed the increasing seller of this foundation in low price recently. (Maybe because the expired date items were released to the market)

What a total waste of money. Expensive garbage. Watery horrible application looked chalkey and fake on my skin. To be honest my skin looked better before applying. I hate to give a bad review like this but do not i repeat do not waste your time with this one.

I had been hearing such rave reviews about this product for so many years that I finally broke down and bought some when I saw it deeply discounted at a cosmetics website.
What a disappointment. The coverage is really light, it's streaky, and it leaves a yucky finish on my skin (not quite oily or greasy - but similar to the way silicone-based primers feel at the end of the day). There's really nothing great to say about it except to say that it's not the worst I've ever used. However, it's far & away the most expensive I've ever used, coming in at around $50 a bottle.
I might also mention that I have pretty fair skin and usually use the 2nd lightest shade in most makeup. In this case I bought the 3rd lightest (light beige) and even on my winter skin it's way too pale.
This product didn't live up to the hype in any way, shape or form. I'll be going back to my BalmShelter TM.
Edit: I kept using this as I felt compelled to use it up. It feels so yucky on my skin - like Crisco - and just doesn't blend well. It looks and feels chalky and offers no coverage, except to sit on your skin looking fake and makeup-y. I went back to using BalmShelter and won't be picking up VL any time soon.

Absolutely love this foundation and what it does for my skin. It imparts a nice dewy finish without giving off that greasy shine some "dew" foundations leave after a few hours. The price I admit is a bit unfortunate, but I will say that a little of this foundation goes a long way. I've yet to find another foundation that works with my skin as well as this one.

Love that their shade "golden oriental" suits my NC35 yellow based skin during the summer. It's waterproof to boot! Gives my skin such a nice glow/ radiance and the pump (which was not disfunctional like other foundation pumps I've tried) makes this a very sanitary product to use. Sheer to medium coverage and looks very natural and flawless if you like the glowy look (but does not look shiny). I was looking for a potentially better foundation to my usual HG MUFE face and body since this one is one of those waterproof/glowy/gel formulas, and I would say this is comparable except the one flaw is that it is very moisturizing and thus doesn't last as long on my skin. But it does last a darn long time regardless. Would be great for someone with drier skin. I still think this is a great foundation as far as foundations go though, just not quite HG.

I've used Vincent Longo's Water Canvas Creme-to-Powder and loved it! I walked into Bath and Body Works and saw all of the VL products were 75% off, so I picked up both this foundation and VL Sheer Matte foundation in #8 Natural (love that the shade numbers/names are consistent throughout their liquid foundation products... very convenient). I tried it a couple of days in a row and decided I liked this one very much as well -- it has sheer, light coverage, makes my skin glow and the color stayed true the whole day. It was a little bit too shiny for me in the T zone area, so the next day I tried the matte on the T zone and this more sheer liquid on the rest of my face and that worked a little better. The pump bottle is a nice hygienic touch that I feel is a must with any liquid foundation to keep it fresh.
Overall, I think it's a high-quality foundation that was well worth the $12 or so that I paid for it, but at almost $50 I'd definitely be more hesitant. Foundation has to be pretty much the ultimate perfect HG product for me to pay that much. If I had $50 to spend and had to choose between the three VL foundations, I'd probably still pick Water Canvas, as that one is the easiest to use and most innovative of them all.

If your looking for coverage... do not stop at the vincent longo counter. I do like this foundation (if you can call it that) but Id never wear it alone. it does provide a nice dewy finish so rather I apply it over my actual foundation in just the parts I want to look a little dewy. Ive wanted to try it for quite some time now.. and am sad to say Im disapointed. I said I wouldnt buy it again simply because of the price (although I did get it 75% off at b&bw!!) but if it was always that price it probably be a must have.

Absolutely the best match for my skintone that I've found in any foundation to date- Porcelain is a fair shade with none of the horrible, yellowish cast that I have come to expect from virtually every foundation on the market. To find a foundation that wears so well and stays so true to my skin tone is worth twice the price they're charging me.

Had to buy two colors to get exact color match. Not enough coverage, and i experience a weird stingy feeling in my eyes with the smell, fumes of this foundation. And i'm definately not getting it in my eyes, but it has this weird odor almost like rubbing alcohol. Anyone else had a similar experience? It does help with the appearance of aging once you finally have it applied right. I'm really not loving this product.

If you have even remotely dry skin do not buy this!! I have dry skin, although not desert like, and after wearing this for four days my skin looks terrible!! Any moisture that I had in my skin was sucked out. Seriously, people were asking me if I got sunburt because my skin was so dry it was literally peeling! Horrible, Horrible product!

I was going to give this a 3 to be fair, but then I decided to list the bad and the good and couldn't really come up with anything good. The bad part: weird fragrance, hard to get out of bottle, stays on top of the skin even with primer, not much coverage, color I bought, Golden Beige is too yellow even though I usually like yellowish foundation. It's not the worst foundation I've ever tried, but something that I don't hate enough to throw out. It's for times when I've run out of one I love and haven't decided what I want next. Will keep until the weird fragrance smells like it's gone bad. Hardly a positive.

I am a 21-year-old male and has had microdermabrassion, chemical peels, etc. i used to have low acne that left a few scars as well as ingrown hairs that made me look as if i had breakouts. Now that I have had it removed, I still have a few scars from it. I have tried many tinted moisturizers. And they all seemed to have a "dry/cakey" finish. I tried this stuff at a local Sephora's and was amazed with its finish. It really gives your skin a nice radiant, dewy finish. And it blends into your skin like some sort of absorption oil. Which makes you look as if you're wearing nothing. I actually recommend this product for guys who are self-conscious about their skin. I have introduced this product to many guys and they seem to agree as well.

I love this foundation. I have some what dry skin and this makes my skin feel great and look dewey but not oily. I don't need tons of coverage but it covers well. I wish it was a bit less pricey but it does last me about 4 months.

First off I now realize how lucky I was to get this foundation for only around $10 because it was on clearance...This foundation matches my skintone really well and doesn't look cakey on me. It does give a very nice dewy look to my skin. However, I didn't give it the full five lippies because it doesn't give very good coverage. I wouldn't say this product is worth $48.50 but it is a decent foundation.

I REALLY love this product! It's pricey at almost $ 50, but the color is a perfect match, it's moisturizing with SPF15, and gives me a dewy, glowing finish like I had a really good nights sleep. I have combination skin that gets drier in the winter. Provides light coverage so will not hide serious flaws but it really blends into the skin and evens out the skin tone. It doesn't look like you are wearing foundation at all. I'm Asian with fair skin and light yellow undertones, and Golden Porcelain is a perfect match. The color is very neutral with some yellow/beige undertones, and is not orangey or peachy at all. It comes with a pump, so very sanitary and easy to use. Definitely worth it!!

I was verrry lucky in that I got severalof these at Ulta for 75% off because they were not going to carry the line anymore! I adore VLWC, but it can be a pain to put on, especially if there is not much left in the container...Anyhoo, I love love love the moist, non-oily, non-greasy, dewy finish this provides. At the end of the day instead of looking like an oil slick, I glow. I have combo skin, oily in the t-zone, dry at the corners of my mouth when the seasons change. This is not drying, and provides a light even coverage whihc is very easily blended. One of my other favorites about this mu is that it is a pump dispenser!! Tres sanitary, and it keeps the product fresher longer because no air or contaminates can enter!! It also has spf 15 I believe (I am at work). It does not look like makeup, just purely fresh dewy skin that feels light and airy. A+.

i love this foundation it gave me that radiant glow i love.. i have dry skin and i love dewy finishes and this one does the trick.. i absolutley hate looking cakeyy but this one does not make me look cakey at all..i love it.. i probabaly need to get a better match tho cause when i put it on it looks great but when ppl take a picture of me my face looks lighter than my neck.. they matched me up with light beige nc25/30 in mac foundations.. but its looks just too light for me.

This product gives a beautiful dewy glow to my skin I wish I naturally had. Wow! The colors blend and match well. It lasts all day on my combo/oily acne skin.Coverage is a little light for me. I agree with another reviewer - it doesn't cover blemishes, dark circles as well as I would like. But red patches seem to disappear. But I can't wear it everyday.. .. . .it's better in winter when my skin is drier. Unfortunately, I tend to wear it only on special occasions because it makes me break out a little (less than most foundations) . I wear nothing or a mineral based powder such as gloMinerals to prevent breakouts. I'm hoping to find my HG that has this foundation's dewy finish ... I'm a NC35-45

This is a unique product in the fact its the only one that exactly matches my skintone and doesn't give me breakouts. Yet this makes my makeup look super cakey.
Lovely.
$50 for nothing else but to match my skintone. Not worth it. :o(

i tried this and the water canvas recently. i don't like liquids, but the creme didn't provide enough coverage so i turned to this one instead. it doesn't cover enough to make it worth wearing "gunk" on my face, IMO. plus it was kinda greasy after just a short while, and i have dry skin! the color turned a little weird on me, but that could be a personal thing. i also broke out bad, but don't know if it was due to this or the water canvas...so i returned both.
