I am so pleased with this entire line. My favorite thing about this serum is the very light non-sticky texture, and the fact that it can specifically be used with acne-prone skin. Of course since this is a preventative step in my routine I have no way of knowing for years to come whether it's doing its job. However, I tend to trust this line since the products are really working for me. I also like that they look at the science of the skin, as mentioned in the PBS Face Facts show.

I've been testing a variety of "everything but the kitchen sink" antioxidants in search of the perfect product. First try was Osmosis Replenish which was a fail (see separate review). Next up CosMedix Affirm. Out of the gate this serum is nicely packaged in a smooth soft-pump bottle. The serum is an light beige color and not slimy. One pump is sufficient to cover the entire face. Being an preventative antioxidant product I wasn't expecting much, but after a few weeks of use I noticed my skin surface seemed more even and slightly more toned. As with any antioxidant its a gamble that the results will pay off down the road so its hard to assess any other benefits at this point.


While this product does contain an impressive list of ingredients, the biggest obstacle is the obnoxious (and unnecessary) sandalwood fragrance. The perfume smell is totally overpowering and does NOT fade away. I found myself avoiding using the product because I wasn't in the mood to put up with the smell. It really needs to be reformulated without fragrance...I can't imagine too many people actually enjoying the smell of their face all day.


You can find travel size bottles on eBay which will last at least a month, so its a great way to try before splurging on the full size.
