This made me break out like mad crazy. It is one of those products that gave me skin issues for a week. it is full of silicone so I should have known better! My skin always freaks out with products full of cones.
Besides the horrible breakout, this is really just an expensive tm. Would not recommend this to anyone.

I first received a sample of this from Sephora and loved it so much I had to buy it. I'm blonde, very fair, but I received the sample in 'brunettes' and I was quite happy with the results - but for the cost of buying it, I went with 'blondes'. I adore the texture of this product, it's like velvet. You don't need much of it either, especially if you are very fair (you don't want to look orange and fake). I just love the look of tanned, glowing skin. I love this product, the only thing I'm not a huge fan of is the big price tag but I would still buy it again.

I do like this product a lot but I find it a little too bronzy/rosy for my liking. I think I like my bronze more brown than terracotta. But great product that wears great.

april 2012~ this product has grown on me so much that I have repurchased I guess I had to get used to it but it is now a go-to. I've received many compliments when wearing it and definitely miss it on days I don't wear it..I catch glimpses of myself in the mirror and realize how blah I look without it.

I loved this until I realized I could get the same effect with a rich tan colored tinted moisturizer. Also I could find something with better ingredients that way. This is over priced honestly and I was so drawn to the old palm tree labeled bottle it had. I just love the look of tanned skin when it comes to makeup but hate powder bronzer. I would say sample this first and if you have sensitive skin be weary of its ingredients.

For reference I'm NC 30 w/ strong yellow-olive undertones.

I have this in both 01 Blondes and 02 Brunettes.

I love the consistency of the foundation, when I squeeze the product out it has some separate oil in it, then I simply mix the oil and cream and it becomes this beautiful heavenly creamy product that applies like a dream. Incredibly smooth.

I find that this gives me a beautiful tanned look, but this needs to be applied on ears as well as neck as to not have that weird tanned look w/ white parts peeking through.

This indeed give a beautiful glow without looking oily, it's sort of matte, but not really, just imparts a glow from within look. It also has some moisturizing properties so it's a plus, but for women w/ oily skin you need to be careful when considering this product.

As for the price. It is expensive, more expensive than some Chanel foundations but I got this both with 30% off in one of our local Guerlain sales, since I bought this after the summer season so they slashed the prices. So price is justified when I bought the 2 shades.

Oh man I tried a large sample of 02 brunettes sample and I am absolutely in love with this product. I have nc40 skintone and I finally found an allover bronzer/foundation that makes my skin divinely beautiful. My husband told me "hey supermodel" when we went out for dinner last night. This makeup looks highly natural, just like second skin. But what im worried about is I have oily acneic skin and I fear that it will break me out, its way too waxy.

I had a tested of this product from Sephora, and then I purchased a full sized one. In the summer my problem is that while I use fake tan all over my body, my face never stays tan. Plus even with a self-tanner, my pigmented cheeks still show through the self-tan. This product really helps to even the pigmentation in my face. I am blonde, but my sample was in the 02 brunette, but when I applied it with a light hand or mixed with my foundation, it matches my (fake) tanned skinned nicely. I buff it into my skin with either a kabuki or stippling brush, all over my face and my neck so it all matches. I also use it alone for contouring.

I have worn it work (8 hours) and even with some minor sweating, it still stays put. I use tissue sheets to blot my face throughout the day and a little bit comes off, but not too much. You could probably set it with powder, but I don't because I like the finish. If you rub your face hard, then the product will come off. So I would not wear this with a white top or to a friend's who has a white couch, which is why I took off a star.

I received a tester of this from Sephora. I was scared to try shade Brunette 02 because it looked like mud (memories of those bronzing powders in the 70s that came in the little clay pot, anyone?). But I put it on and was quite amazed. It literally melts into your skin and while it does not in any way come close to matching my real skin color, it ends up looking like an incredibly natural tan. This is a great product for me because I don't tan my face, but I spend lots of time outdoors. Even with SPF 50, by summer, my body is always tan and my face doesn't match! With this product, it does, and it looks really natural--unlike when I try to apply darker-colored foundation. I have dry skin and silicones don't bother me, but I could see how that might be an issue for some people. I haven't purchased a full size because I am still using up my Estee Lauder bronzer and I don't need a replacement for this summer, but I'll definitely consider buying this next summer despite the cost. You really have to try this product to believe it!
EDIT: I have been using this all summer and decided it's worth a 5. I'll be springing for the full size next summer, for sure.

This product SHOULD BE awesome, and SHOULD have better ingredients, but nope. It spreads like a heavy duty layer of silicone (so disgusting) and although it leaves a flawless tanned finish (I used Brunettes 02, perfect shade for my NC35 face), it's nothing but an illusion because the feel of it is so gross. Makes my face look flawlessly and evenly tanned; the color is quite nice. I just can't get past the gross feel of it and can even feel my skin suffocating under all those silicones. Nope, just can't take it or risk getting angry, volcano-like cystic pimples. Just take a look at the ingredients, every other one is a silicone, blech.

Seriously, Guerlain gets it right every time when it comes to this terracotta line! The Terracotta Skin is really an unsual type of foundation. I only needed a little bit. I put a little dab on, it looks almost like mud, but once I blended it, my face looked flawless. And then when I saw myself in pictures with this foundation on, I swear I looked like a lil' tan godess! The texture is the unusual part. It is hard to explain. It doesnt give much coverage at all, its more like a second skin. BUT A SECOND TANNED BEAUTIFUL SKIN. I used this and then put the Guerlain bronzer on( Tan booster bronzer is a really good one-a little dark though for you ladies who dont like that fake tan look. I have all of their bronzers and any of them compliment this foundation.) I have to admit, I am biast, I am a Guerlain makeup junkie. There is just something about this line, (especially the terracotta line) that is so richly and velvety smooth. I wear their foundation, powders and bronzers. I have tried pretty much every bronzer (ok, not every single one but a lot of them) out there and nothing else compares. The only negative, its a bit pricey for such a little bottle. But it seems like it will last a long time. I very rarely write these reviews because I am lazy:) but when I find something I love, especially a beauty secret-I have to share!

I wear shade 02 (Brunette). This is a buttery soft, mousse-like bronzer/foundation that evens out my skin tone and gives me a gorgeous coppery-bronze glow. It looks remarkably natural and it feels light and silky. I love the way this looks so much I'm willing to pay the high price and put up with the nasty, heavy "perfumey" type scent. Luckily the scent disappears as soon as the product sets. When first applied, this seems like it's going to be really dark...but in a few seconds it melts into my skin, and looks like natural, healthy, young skin. This product is unique, and well worth a try!

This comes in a 30 mL tube, $54 CDN. It seemed a bit gimmicky but I tried it and loved it. When I put on bronzer, I always worry about putting on too much and looking too "fake". Even though I have mastered the perfect amount, I was interested in trying something new. This is basically like a tinted foundation with bronzer in it. It evened out my skin and gave me a healthy bronzed look, that does not look fake at all. It's easy to put on. I like using my fingers to really blend it into my face. I use the 01 Blondes (lighter shade) because the darker one is quite dark. This is a nice alternative to powder bronzer. It is a gel texture that blends very easily. HG
