I have been obsessing about this palette ever since I saw it walking pass the Bobbi Brown counter in a department store, it looks lovely in the palette with muted grey shades and pretty sparkly options, as well as a versatile silvery highlighter shade and black liner shade. The perfect palette. How looks deceive. Anyway I went to try it eventually, and was somewhat surprised at how messy the palette looked with shadow dust all over the black case after touching the brush over it. But I was so infatuated with it I bought it anyway, against my better judgement. What I found to be disappointing is that, the colour payoff is very poor, for both the matt and sparkling shades. The Pebble metallic shade was ok, and so was the darkest Caviar matt shade. I don't care about what people say about needing to use primer and special techniques to apply it in order to get the colours to show up, I did a comparison by using my Maybelline Expect Wear palette on one eye and the Bobbi Brown palette on the other eye and the colour payoff difference is apparent, using the same application technique. To me, all the talk about needing to use sponge tips/wet brushes to apply the palette just seems like excuses for a poor quality. If you apply the sparkle shadows with the brush that comes with the palette, you can only see sparkles with no colour showing AT ALL. If Bobbi Brown meant for people to use a sponge tip applicator then why did she include a brush instead? It just doesn't make sense. On the up side, the liner side of the brush is very nice and does a good job of making a precise, clean line when used with the Caviar shade. And the Pebble metallic is a good highlighter, too. But I would expect more for paying AU$120 for a palette. I think if Bobbi Brown doesn't care enough about her products quality to allow such a poor palette onto the market, I would very much hesitate to buy any of her other products ever again. Afterall it's a competitive market and there are far better and cheaper options out there. I don't mind paying the price for quality, but this is, sorry, crap.

wow I'm in love with my palette. This is a new release and was a Nordies exclusive but now its available on BB.com. Its absolute perfection. As you would expect the shadows are good quality and blend nicely. You can do lots of soft day looks and build up a medium smokey eye for evening-none of the colors are really really dark. The top four sparkle colors are gorgeous. I have no issues with fallout so long as I use my TFSI. The bottom 4 are mattes with good pigmentation and pair great with the top ones.
I like to use one sparkle all over the lid, one matte in the crease and Navajo as a brow bone highlight. I do about 4 looks from this but I'm sure there are waayyyyy more if you're creative :)
