Lovely balm, very nice texture and easy to use. Didn't make a world of difference to my skin but didn't do it any harm either.

Fairly effective cleanser. I don't wear much make up day to day (just mascara and blusher) and this does remove it (and heavier 'full face' make up) but I do find I'm left with a small amount of mascara residue.

My main bugbear, however, is the packaging. £34 for a product in a jar which isn't fit for purpose? The 'thread' where you twist the lid onto the jar is all cracked and ruined with approx 1/4 product remaining and so the lid now won't fasten (exposing the product to air and increasing risk of contamination)
. The gold inner comes out of the Perspex outer jar , basically the whole thing falls to pieces every time I use it. Not good enough. Until the packaging quality issues are addressed I won't repurchase.

AMAZING CLEANSER. The best really! I have gone through too many cleansers in my time, from high street brands to extremely expensive stuff that didn't do what it promised.
Emma Hardie really narrowed it down to this perfect blend of aromaoils and cleansing cloths - and they work perfect together! I have ordered a bunch of them and found an amazing deal on them on qvcuk, where i picked up 200ml jar for just over 40 pounds (it costs 35 pounds for 100ml for comparison).
I do wear my make up, i Always have eye make up as well, so for me it's important that everything is removed. You see, i'm lazy, i'm not going to use eye make up remover AFTER i already washed my face and this cleanser works Every time! The oils soften the mascara and the eye pencil and the soft cloth removes it no problem!
I have also tried sleeping in it and it really cleared my somewhat spots on the forehead.
My skin is normal, with a bit of sensitivity issue to it and it works Perfectly for me.
Everything: price, packaging, smell, cleansing ability - everything is top notch.

p.s. I used to use eve lom, and BELIEVE me, you will not regret switching from one to another. I have and never looked back (this is why: 1. THE SMELL! eve lom doesn't have a smell, it has a STINK! 2. Eve lom left me with panda eyes Many many times. 3. EH stuff is far more natural, Eve Lom contains mineral oils that clog pores. Boom!)

This irritated my skin to no end, it actually irritated my skin enough to give me bumps all over my cheeks. And I did take everything off properly.

The problem is with the essential oils in it. Yes, it makes this balm smell amazing, but it's soooo bad for sensitive skins.

I'm giving it a 1 because there are just too many unnecessary ingredients in it such as fatty alcohols (clogging), lavender oil (one of the most irritating ingredients ever), etc etc etc.

I'm usually so careful with what I buy/put on my face, like I will look at ingredients etc, but the hype drew me in and I completely regret this. I got it in a set with the exfoliating seeds and the muslim cloth, which weren't that great either. The seeds were kinda meh, and the cloth fell apart after less than 5 hand-washes.

Just, NO.

For reference I have oily, acne prone skin that can also be dry and red. I tried this initially with a trial size pot and have now purchased the full size. I ADORE this cleanser. It is a dream to use. You just put a smal smudge in the palm of your hand, add a few drops of water to make it milky and massage it over the skin gently. It smells of mandarins and it feels so wonderful it's like giving yourself a spa facial everyday. There is nothing else like it. It takes all my makeup off including my eye makeup with zero rubbing whatsoever. I massage it in for about a minute then remove it with a warm face cloth. My skin feels plumped and healthy, with no oil added or any moisture stripped. It is extremely gentle and kind and it feels like a real luxury to use. Personally I follow up with a second cleanse of oatmeal or Ren Clay Cleanser. I don't do a second cleanse with this Emma Hardie stuff a) because it's pricey and b) because I like to do my final cleanse with something non-essential oil based, but I do not see that as a fault of the Emma Hardie cleanser, it's just my preference.
I paid £23 for my tub as I was lucky to need to purchase when there was a sale on at feelunique.com. Generally it's about £30 a tub, but bearing in mind the teeny amount you need per cleanse, a tub will last you a very, very long time.
Highly recommend this.

I am not a fan of balm type cleansers preferring rich creamy ones (Elemis) but I gave this a go after watching Emma on QVC and it came as part of a set. It's all I use now. I never have to use toner afterwards and it removes all my make up and eye make up. I also mix it with the seeds and use it as a mask. I have tried all of Emma's products now and I am very happy with them. I have had many facials over the years with Emma and she has great passion and integrity about her skincare products which she spent years researching. The eye serum is particularly lovely. Unlike other reviewers I like her cleansing cloths - I have many many muslin cloths - but I find hers easier to remove the product with and do some of the sweeping techniques she demonstrates on TV. Packaging quality is average I admit, as I find with a lot of QVC brands in general. I suppose it is a way of keeping costs down though!

I love this product!

I have dry sensitive skin that is prone to redness and ezcema. I use this for my evening cleanse/take my make up off. I take an finger tip sized dollap from the Jar and massage into my face and neck for about 2 minutes then I sweep the residue on my hands over my eyes to breakdown my eye make up before using a clean flannel to remove. It takes everything off, any seconds cleanses never reveal anything so I now no longer bother with second cleansing.

I find it removes make up better than the Shu Oil and my eyes are less sensitive to it.

I hae now been using for 8 weeks and my skin nourished and well balanced, I have had less hormonal breakouts and less ezcema.

I also love massaging on clean skin and leaving it there as a nourishing mask while I take a shower once a week, it really plumps and hydrates my skin.

Very happy, it is a little expensive At £34 for 100ml, but I recommend and if you try and love you could always order the 200ml supersize from QVC.

I have combination dry skin that's also acne prone and this product is beautiful for my skin.
It helps to balance out my skin no matter the season (my skin tends to be parched in winter) and doesn't cause any breakouts. If anything this product helps reduce pimples and overall my skin feels a lot smoother.
The product itself is a balm that melts down to an oil when applied. The smell is really refreshing and natural although I could imagine it not being to some peoples tastes. One small warning is that in warmer weather this balm melts down to an oil in the packaging, which is something I don't actually mind but if you do I find putting the product in the fridge will fix this problem.
The way I use this product is by applying it to the face and melting it down on the face as opposed to between the palms and just massage it in for a few minutes. There are also massaging instructions supplied so if you have the time/energy those can be good. Then I run a flannel under warm water and spend about 20 seconds removing the balm. Finally I splash my face with cold water.
The packaging isn't great. I've purchased this product 3 times and the first time the lid cracked when it was dropped and if the packaging is exposed to water/liquids it seems to get trapped in-between the outer clear casing and the inner gold casing of the packaging.

You can purchase this product from feelunique or beautybay with the latter often having discounts on this brand.

Well I have to say I was utterly disappointed by this product. Actually, I am completely p***ed off. I bought it in Space NK in the Duke of York Square on the Kings Road in London and had I known that the balm had melted in the shop lights, I wouldn't have opened it so quickly and splattered my silk shirt in oil.
Of course, the give-away was the oily stain inside the box, but when you buy a balm, well... you expect a balm not a liquid mess. The oil had even leaked into the lid, between the two layers of plastic. Shoddy.
So, after changing my shirt and leaving the oil to settle, I started to use the 'balm'. At this point the oil had started to solidify so I tried to mix it into the harder balm underneath. I ended up with clumps of hard balm and soft balm that melted so quickly it dripped off my fingers.
More mess.
Perhaps I need to microwave it to try and get it all blended again...
It felt nice on the skin. And it smelled good too. But really, it was no better than any oil based balm you can pick up at a hand crafted fair. Except that those formulators know how much beeswax to add to a product to stop it from melting all over you and your clothes.
Yes, it was full of ethoxylated oils to create a smooth texture - beeswax can create a draggy feeling - but nowadays, there are many more non-ethoxylated ingredients that can add texture whilst allowing the balm to remain a balm even in 40°c desert heat!
Seriously, the ingredients are so basic with moringa extract listed after the essential oils, which are no more than 0.5% in total, so the moringa extract must be minuscule... yet it's called Moringa Cleansing Balm. Doh - I never learn. Read the ingredients thoroughly before you buy.
End of rant. And no, I won't be wasting my money again.

I bought this after reading Caroline Hiron's rave reviews and comments on it.

I have extremely troublesome skin. Oily t-zone, redness on cheeks, dry skin around my nose and prone to breakouts and bad reactions when I try new products. Ugh.

This product is bliss for me. I've been using it morning and night with a face cloth for two months now. My skin hasn't flared up, it's helped to balance out my skin tone and it removes all of my make up. Using this together with Caudalie Beauty Elixir, Hyrdraluron and Eucerin Q 10 moisturiser has genuinely made a huge difference to my skin.

I've found that this has also helped to control break outs - I switched from this to another cleanser for a few days and automatically started to break out. When I switched back, this cleared it up. Lesson learned and I won't be tempted to roam again - this works great for me.

It's quite a thick consistency with a strong scent which reminds me a bit of aromatherapy oils. It feels really luxurious and I genuinely look forward to using it.

I paid £34 from Space NK for a 100ml jar so it's quite pricey however I have since re-ordered from QVC where I got a jumbo 200ml jar for £40.

I'm on my second tube of this cleanser. I have quite oily, sensitive, acne-prone skin and many cleansers break me out like there is no tomorrow. This cleanser is very gentle, it smoothes and hydrates my skin without clogging my pores.
The tub contains 100ml of balm and it retails for £34 at SpaceNK. It's a bit steep, but, in my opinion, it's worth it. The balm has a luxurious zesty smell.
I use it am and pm - sometimes I even use it to remove my make up and it works wonderfully (just to be clear, I don't wear waterproof mascara).
I usually massage the balm to dry face, neck and decollete for a couple of minutes, melting it onto the skin before removing it with a damp, warm flannel (sometimes I use the one provided with the kit - I just prefer the 'gentle' side of the cloth). My skin feels soft, nourished and plump.
I know that using an 'oily' balm on an oily skin may sound like a no-no, but I can assure you that this cleanser is not, in any way, clogging my pores or aggravating my acne. Quite the opposite, actually. I have learnt that my skin needs to steer clear of products containing mineral oils (ie Eve Lom's balm cleanser) and the EH cleansing balm is simply infused with essential oils and no mineral oils whatsoever.
I highly recommend this product: it has become a staple in my beauty routine.

This cleansing balm was is not easy to get in the USA, but it is worth the effort in getting it. It is a cleansing balm that can be emulsified by water so that a double cleanse is not necessary. This balm is loaded with essential oils, which is evident with its texture. Mine arrived with a layer of oil on the top surface, but that quickly works its way into the texture of the balm and goes away. After cleansing, my skin is free of makeup, including eye makeup, and feels clean and fresh, but not stripped. It actually feels hydrated after cleansing and the effect remains. I have found that I need less moisturizer after using this product, and that it has eradicated my flaky skin patches. A little goes a long way with this product, so start with half a teaspoon. Highly recommended.

This was suggested to me by an SA at Space NK. I purchased a starter kit, which included the cleanser, exfoliation grains, moisturizer, and cloths. I have previously used OCM cleansers like Shu and MAC, and have broken out slightly, so I was tentative. But my skin was going crazy last year and I was willing to give this a try.
As noted below, the cleanser smells divine. It's a really thick balm, almost like vaseline. It feels great, and along with the smell, it made cleansing my face feel like a luxury; I truly felt like I was pampering myself every night. The cleanser helped with many of my skin problems and didn't break me out at all or irritate my sensitive skin. I felt like, along with the cloths, it helped with some of the clogged pores on my nose.

The downsides of this product are 1) the shoddy packaging. After I bought this I searched the internet for reviews, and found several bloggers who claimed that the lid had cracked. This happened to me too, and I didn't drop the lid, as far as I can recall, so I'm not sure what happened. Towards the end of my jar, half the lid actually fell off. 2) Despite the fact that this made 95% of my skin look great, it didn't help clear up the flakies along the side of my nose. 3) You really need to use a cloth with this cleanser, and the ones that EH sells are expensive and fell apart after a bit. I find that inexpensive muslin cloths work just as well.
I'm currently testing the Liz Earle cleanser, which I love, but I do miss the Emma Hardie, so I may repurchase in the future.

If it is one thing I could bring to a desert island it would be this cleanser. It is a basic neccesity, actually it is my human skin right!

I don't know what i did before this product came along in my life.

My skin adores it, it makes it smooth, hydrated and supple. Time, after time I am reminded of how Emma Hardies Moringa cleanser solves all my skin problems. My dry areas are hydrated, the oily and spotprone are cleared up, everything at the same time. Hardie's cleanser does not come cheap and i run out quickly (too quickly!) but the cleanser is a winner.

Once in a while I go off and flirt with a different brand (like Sarah Chapman, Oskia, Darphin you name it) however I just keep reminding myself of how glorious my skin was whilst using Amazing face and how important a good cleanser and cleansing routine is.

So yes, Emma Hardie's amazing face would be my no 1 choice of of desert island company.

Wonderful, world class cleanser. It smells beautiful, melts and emulsifies, sooths, cleans, hydrates, balances, infact it appears to work for all skin types in all states of condition.
It calms my sensitive skin when it is irritated, if I do break out (which happens occassionaly due to hormones but significantly less than before I started using this) then it clears them up in 24hrs or so.
It really is unusual for me to find a product that enhances and benefits my face, that feels luxurious to use, and doesn't irritate me at all.
You must try it. (Do use the cloths and follow the massage advice, it really does add to the results).
SUPERB!

Just purchased this to replace the eve lom cleansing balm I've been using. It smells absolutely amazing - a real aromatherapy spa smell cleans every scrap of makeup off on first cleanse, no dryness- and for a oil based balm cleanser no greasy residue on my combination skin. I've also bought the exfoliation seeds to will review again in a couple of weeks with my findings.
