I can't compare this to the traditional Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs because I've never tried them. This is for the Airbrush Shimmer for all skin types. For daytime, I think this is far too extreme. The shimmer is just really "in-your-face". For night, it is really fun. The glow it gives you is a VERY shimmery, pearly goldish glow. It is pretty. If you lay in on thick, this can really help mask slight bruises and just even out your legs. It's not a self-tanner/bronzer at all or doesn't really give you any illusion of a tan. Just a warm glow. However, my hubby didn't like it. He thought it made my legs look "greasy"! Even though the product is not greasy by any means. It dries instantly and is transfer resistant. I personally like Burts Bee's Radiance lotion in terms of shimmer much better. It's less extreme & more natural looking.
