Got this trio set - serum, invigorating night serum, sheer cream. The serum is in a spray bottle which I like for hygenic reasons. I applied the serum after cleansing my face at night then followed it with the night cream then sheer cream. A few times, I used this under my moisturizer with SPF. It balled up under my concealer. I imagine it would do the same under foundation which I don't use anyway. It smells citrusy and spreads well on my combo skin. It makes my skin a bit tacky (does that mean my skin is not absorbing it well?) After using the 15ml, I don't see any difference. How long and how much do you use for any visible change? For the high price, I expected more. SAs at Sephora sing high praises for it. I wouldn't repurchase.

Been using for about a yr and it hasn't bothered my rosacea. My skin gets more and more sensitive as time goes on, so c serums I used a few yrs ago now irritate me. Maybe SAP is the way to go for me since all other types of vitamin C irritate me now. Onto the results: this stuff makes my skin glow, look plumper, brighter, more clarity. I tend to get clogged pores easily and have seen mentioned on the board that SAP may be good for acne. Honestly results with this c serum are more noticeable than c serums I've used in the past.

The smell of this serum is enough for me to never buy it again. It is so heavy and it lingers for a long time. I cannot go to sleep with such a heavy smell on my face. It is nauseating and I am not even sensitive to smells.

Ole Henriksen has good ideas behind his products. His Truth Serum is good for beginners to get into the Vitamin C game. I think it's a beneficial serum to start out with if you've never used a Vitamin C serum or if you're just never going to make your own serums. Or, as one to use during the daytime for a brightening effect.
I was first introduced to this over a year ago, and back then, I used it during the day, switching off with other serums of choice that had peptides. As far as skin brightening, I'm pretty pale, so I can't say that I saw a difference there. But I know that Vitamin C is beneficial for your skin, and that's why I used it. I normally use Vitamin C crystals and make my own mask or toner or serum at nighttime. But that's a different composition and much, much stronger. Plus the crystals are viewable in my own concoctions. So I needed something different for the day. Enter Truth Serum. It's not as strong but I would hope it has some benefits. It never made my skin red or irritated it. I guess that tells me it's much weaker than my own recipes. It also comes in a glass bottle, which I wondered about. It should be in a dark bottle to protect the composition. It does have a nice little pump to it that gives you just the right amount. I didn't find it sticky or greasy at all. Of course, anyone that tries it will tell you the scent is absolutely delicious. That probably gets everyone to buy it. It does smell good, that's for sure. I'd say it did make my skin look smoother and a tad more radiant. As far as repurchasing, I think not. I'm happy just using my own recipes at night and other serums during the day. Vitamin C is a must for my skin, that is an absolute. Finding the right one for you is a a Journey, I guess. This one works for some, and not for others. Try to get a sample from the Sephora SA and test it out first to see if you like it.

I love this Vitamin C serum. I have been using a VC serum for about 2.5 years now. In the past I used Avalon organics which was a cheaper serum however now they changed the ingredients and is no longer effective from what I have been told. I have also used Philosophy's VC powder but it burned my skin on contact. Avalon Organics also stung my face once in a while. I only use a VC product mainly for anti-aging purposes and not exactly for brightening/fading scars).

I have used Ole's Truth Serum for about half a year now and I have no issues with it irritating my super sensitive skin! VC serums can be tricky as they are very beneficial to the skin and prevent aging. However, if it's irritating your skin making it red often it's not good for your skin and can speed up skin aging. I feel Ole's Truth Serum is much gentler and never stung my face! I have also been told by the FAB ladies on SB that it contains a much stable form of Vitamin C than other products.

I find it is expensive but I have received my bottles from Sephora samples and always grab it as if it a 100 point perk. Another downside is the bottle is clear and you can see the product. You don't want to expose any antioxidant serums to UV rays/light as it can make it ineffective. What I do is I take aluminum foil and wrap it around the bottle to prevent exposure to light and keep it away from light in a dark/cool place. I will continue to buy it again.

I seriously LOVE this product! I got a sample of this stuff at Sephora. After the first or second use I noticed a huge difference. My skin was visibly brighter and more smooth!!! I am usually so skeptical about all skincare products in general, because I never really notice a huge difference after using them (and I have tried a lot of "great/expensive" products). So it was a spectacular surprise when the results from this product were outstanding (even after a few uses)! I definitely recommend this serum to anyone who is looking for a product that gives amazing results!

I'm so used to products not working (or making my skin worse) that this took me by surprise. It actually improved the look of my skin to the extent that I got several compliments even when I was sick. I've been using it for about a month and have continued to see clearer, more even-toned, brighter skin. I have also noticed some small breakouts that may or may not be from this product, so taking off one star since I'm not sure. As I continue to use this, I hope that any and all breakouts will be minimized as my skin gets used to the Vit C. Overall, the extent that it has improved my skin is incredible to me.

I do not understand the hype behind this product. I got a deluxe sample size of this from Sephora using my 100 point perk and I did not like it. It made my skin feel sticky and it did not absorb well. It also made me breakout.

This worked for me, but it took me a long time to figure out how to use it. I tried initially in the summer and I felt like it made my melasma worse. So I stopped using. I tried again in the winter and it seems to be helping a lot. First off I would start when the sun isn't so harsh. Second, I use this only at night and have to wash my face very well. At least twice so there isn't any makeup left. I put a small amount of this all over. Wait 10 minutes and then put sheer transformation moisturizer. I did this at least 4 times a week and used sunscreen of at least 30 spf everyday. (The other 2 nights I use the invigorating night gel) I have been using for 2 months and have noticed a big change. My melasma is almost gone on my forehead and has lightened on my cheek! I will continue with this and hope it will work through the summer months.

The concentration of vit C is far too low to do anything, but good if you are just venturing into serums. I find the Mad Hippie Vit C serum to be a better starter though. But if you want real results nothing surpasses Devita 17% Vit C serum, its effective, highly concentrated and very cheap. GIve this a go but I just feel that it doens't offer much value for money. I would prefer the Kiehls Advanced wrinkle concentrate at 10.5% to this and its on par with price. Vit c requires experimentation but I do find the higher the %, the more drying it is as well so keep that in mind.

I actually received this as a bonus along with some of his other products and the stinging/redness that resulted made me toss it. Along with all the other products. I will stick with my regular routine--sometimes trying new products doesn't work out I guess!

Love love love. The charming barbiH inspired me to try this and I have never been happier with an OTC product. Had been using a different C but felt it might be irritating me (NuFountain C20 + B3) so gave this a test via Sephora sample. Looooove. Skin is smoother, softer and brighter and PIH is fading.

It has been a month and no clogs. Two pumps covers my whole face and neck including eyelids and under eyes. Oh and fine lines are diminshing too! FYI I am 44, acne prone, highly clog prone and use Taz in conjunction with this.

Anyway, don't let the slams on scent dissuade your trying this - it is more citrus infused with cilantro than Flintstone chewables.

What is this product supposed to do again?
Literally useless. I put it on at night, and I wake up in the morning and see no improvement. I am 17 but have seen other products even out my skintone to the point where I wake up and believe someone put foundation on me overnight. This didn’t clog my pores or make me break out… so 2 stars for that..

I truly enjoy this product. As some people have mentioned it can make your face sting a little bit but I found if I use it after my toner and then apply a slightly thicker day cream moisturizer after that it almost completely takes away that stinging feeling. It feels a little odd when you first put it on like a little sticky but absorbs pretty quick and smells AMAZING.

I have 2 deluxe samples and I will be buying a full size after I am through those for sure. I have yet to find another serum I like better. I have also noticed my skin looks just more glowy and I love it....I almost don't need a highlighter lately it just looks so nice.

I received a deluxe sample of this product with my last Sephora order; I would say about a month's worth as I'm two weeks in with daily use (mornings only) and there's still half a bottle left.

Really wanted to love this product because it does seem to plump my skin and initially it gave me a more youthful glow however it has started to burn my skin over the last several days and today the burning sensation was nearly unbearable. When this product first started to iritate my skin (about 5 days ago) the redness would subside shortly after application and so I thought nothing of it because I heard that some stinging was normal with Vitamin C serums. Unfortunately; the stinging was near unbearable today and the redness has not yet subsided four hours later. I currently have a very bright red, slightly raised rash on both sides of my face and so I will not be using this product any further :(

The good news is that I didn't make an impulse buy the first few days I was using this sample because this stuff is crazy expensive. After my skin heals and has had some time to rest, I think I will try another serum with a different form of Vitamin C to see if I have better luck.

Oh I will definitely buy this product again! I have seen this product on the shelf as long as I shop at Sephora, never came across an opportunity to try it until last Black Friday. There was a small value set called "The Three Wonder" sold at only $10! So I bought it just for fun.

I did not use the product until a couple weeks ago, then I see the dramatic result. At first I don't know it's the Truth Serum that's working wonder. I thought it's the Manuka Honey that I use for mask, but then I started to do some research and saw a lot of reviews online saying this product really works Wonder! So many raves about it, and now I am one of them!

The Serum really brighten up your skin, no kidding! It also makes your skin supple - great moisturize serum I would say. It smells very pleasant. The set comes with a 1 oz serum bottle. I use it morning and night, but it still last quite a long time because you really don't need a lot.

To prove that I am telling the truth, I already went ahead and bought the Large Set at Sephora at $70. It's a good deal because the regular serum will cost you $48. In this set you get the full size serum plus two other great products. So I say it's a good deal.

So I highly recommend you guys to get that small set at $10 and give it a try, you will see the wonder on your skin in no time. Good luck girls.

This serum is the bomb! I got it an a deluxe sample along with the moisturizer, and was skeptical because it smelled so good I though I may break out. Nope! The packaging is very handy and one pump goes a long way. it is very thin, but absorbs quickly without leaving a sticky residue behind. My sample has lasted me forever. I have noticed a brighter, more alive complexion after 2 weeks of use. I lower my use during a breakout, but even when my face is broken out this does not clog my pores or irritate at all. It works best when used with its accompanying moisturizer. I will definitely invest in this brand.

My skin: oily that tends to get dehydrated (loses water easily), clog-prone, sensitive/reactive

I've been using this off and on since December 2012 and can finally say for sure that it doesn't work for me. I was using it for the antioxidant benefits and loved how glowy it made my skin. However after a few days of use, I'd notice some rash-like clogs on my cheeks near my nose and under my cheekbone area, so I'd stop using it and wait for my skin to clear up before trying it again. It clogged my pores every time and also made my skin peel. It does have a light orange creamsicle scent, but I personally didn't find it bothersome. In fact, the scent faded very fast. I noticed some reviewers complained about stickiness. I didn't find it to be sticky at all after it dried down. If it still feels sticky after it has dried, I think you are applying too much. A little goes a long way. One pump of the .5 oz bottle was more than enough to cover my entire face and neck. Despite not working for me, I still think it is a great product and would definitely recommend testing it if you're not sensitive to any of the ingredients.
