I LOVE this shadow. I usually hate blues, but this one is beautiful. I generally use it when doing a multi color eye...usually including pink or purple. This is one of maybe...3 blues in my entire collection. Price is pretty average, pricey but not pricey enough to keep me from buying. Packaging is same with any MAC shadow. Overall, good shadow!

One of my new favorites. GORGEOUS color. Very buildable. Today I paired it with pink, orange and a duochrome white and made a sunset look. Goes really nicely with my skintone (NC15, slightly lighter)....which is strange because I generally hate blue colors on me. Would purchase again, no doubt.

Beautiful colour a deep turquoise with a bit of green. So silky and smooth really makes my eyes pop when used as a liner over a wash of shroom or in the crease. Effortless smooth sexy.

I love how this looks on the lower lash line when used as a shadow! It is the most gorgeous colour for brown eyes! (Or any eyes, probably)

I rarely use it as a lid colour, but I sometimes use it in the crease with MAC Lime.

I love this shadow because it leans both blue and green. It is not one or the other. It works well with a lot of other shadows. I love effortless eyeshadow colours!

the most gorgeous turquoise eyeshadow i own (and i own A LOT)... the pigmentation is awesome, the texture is smooth and blendable. in the pan it looks like a slightly deeper version of Shimmermoss, but in reality it is MUCH deeper and much more pigmented. they would work beautifully together, though. the finish is "frost" but really comes off more as a satin (not overly shiny/metallic like regular frosts). it looks amazing on my light brown eyes, and it seems like it would look gorgeous on any skin tone.

I lucked out and got one of the last 2 surf USA shadows at my pro store today. I would put the color itself in the turquoise family, leaning more green than blue, with a hint of shimmer--more like a sheen, really. Definitely not glittery, no fallout, and intensely pigmented. Absolutely beautiful on my NW20 skin, though I imagine this would be lovely on many women. I intend to pair it with more muted shades like copperplate and handwritten, with dazzelight or shroom as a highlight. Can't wait to wear it!

Side note: reviews marking products down because you find their packaging "ugly" are a bit unfair--so long as it's effective, what difference does it make? MAC shadows are also easily depanned if the packaging is that offensive. Just saying.

This is a very pretty eyeshadow color. It's very pigmented, so a little goes a long way.It sort of reminds me shimmermoss, but more green. I wear this only on my lower lid with a black liner. Also, with this shadow you need to wear a neutral lip color.

It is a lovely soft shadow, it's easy to work with, easy to blend and easy to wear.. I love to mix it with a gold or yellow color like sun blonde or even expensive pink...i put this color on the outer portion of the eye with the light color from inner to midway...or I will use it on the lower line as well depending on what's on lid...

I wanted to pass on Surf USA, however upon swatching it today it lured me in with it's smooth texture and vibrant teal shade that strikes me to have a bit of a "cool mint" type look. I have nothing else like this. I have Waternymph but they seem remarkably different.
I usually shy away from bright colored shadows but this is so summery and fresh looking I wanted to give it a spin. I really liked Sun Blonde too, a gorgeous mustard shade.
I marked that I would not buy again because this is limited edition.

Wow MAC! Why can't all your limited edition eyeshadows apply and blend so well and have the same type of pigmentation as Surf USA? I purchased some of the Surf Baby eyeshadows online and was pleased to see the shadows look nicer in person when my package finally arrived. I didn't expect to like Surf USA so much but I do. A really gorgeous teal shade! The only MAC shadow that I possess that is kind of similar is Waternymph. However, Waternymph when applied on my NC44 skin is not as deep as Surf USA. It's a little bit of a lighter teal in my opinion.

I love this eyeshadow, the teal color is super pigmented and it makes my green eyes POP! I could probably use this without primer and it would still be just as pigmented. It blends easy and I had minimal fall out while using the correct brush and application.
Every woman should own this color!

I went into MAC with no intention of buying this color. I was on a mission to get hibiscus & get out of there. But we all know how that goes. It was color love at first sight. I love a pop of teal for summer makeup especially on the lower lash line. But this color is a teal green color that is vibrant. I dont think anything I have seen online does it justice. If you love teal you must have this. T he only thing I hate is the ugly packaging but it nothing a depot cant fix.

Great quality, at first I wasn't sure how to use it but I dampen my brush and kind of paint it on, and draw a winged line at the corners of my eyes. I used Lucky Green to give it some shimmer, great for summer.

Highly pigmented greenish-teal with a great texture, and it lasts forever. The only reason I checked "wouldn't repurchase" is that I don't think I'll ever run out of it. A little goes a long way, especially on my older eyelids.

If you get the chance, go out and buy this shadow! Its gorgeous, and the staying power, & application is to die for! Its probably my favorite Mac shadow now!

I wore it today with copperplate & solar white (LE) & I got so many compliments on my eyes at work today! ( I have brown eyes, brown hair, fair/cool complexion)

A lovely color... but not for me.

I went to MAC to pick up my pre-order from the "Surf, Baby!" collection. And one of the MUA was having so much fun playing with the colors (the store was unusually nearly empty), so she began doing my eyes. In the process she covered my lids with this color. It is lovely and quite intense. And while i don't mind a lot of intense color, i think this bluish-green did not suit my coloring - i am warm-neutral fair with hazel-brown eyes. I think a warmer green - lime or olive - brings out the green in my eyes more than this turquoise-y green.

Even without a primer - and with slightly greasy lids from my eye moisturizer - the color stayed strong for over 8 hours, and didn't fade into my crease. While the description says that it is a Frost, it is not strongly frosty - it has a bit of shimmer, but it's more about the color than the shine. In fact, it looked a bit flat, not quite matte, but perhaps more satiny. It was so persistent - for a shadow - that when i cleaned my face before bed, it took a lot of work to get all the color off.

It is an excellent product, but not for my coloring and my wardrobe. Just because it is beautiful, doesn't mean it works for everyone. I had a great time with the MUA - she was a lot of fun! - but i'm not Surfin' USA.

Sooooooo beautiful!! This is a vivid greenish blue teal color. It's a lot like a satin/frost finish and is just gorgeous! It's very pigmented and easy to blend and actually very wearable. It would look great paired with a variety of different colors or by itself. I definitely think you should pick this up if you still can!
