I knew it had to be possible to get cheap hairspray that would go a great job, and Makeupalley did not steer me wrong. This stuff has a ridiculously fine spray, never gets sticky or clumpy, and does a fine job of holding my pincurled waves.


The only reason I don't give it a 5 is the smell. It smells like fruit gum and makes me want to gag. I tolerate it because it fades very quickly, but ugh.

This is fantastic! I use this whenever I curl my hair. I section my hair and spray an appropriate amount on each section, curl, and the curls LAST! Then I spray a generous amount to tame any fly aways after curling and also days I keep my natural straight texture. Smells nice and I adore the color: the perfect shade of pink! Don't expect a crunchy hold with this, and it isn't a super strong hairspray, so don't use if you hair is stubborn to holding a curl. I agree with the previous reviewer, Suave is definitely stepping up to the plate with their products, especially the professionals line. To top it all off, the aerosol packaging could be improved because the top tends to come off on occasion but nothing that's a deal breaker. I hate non-aerosol hairspray because the product is usually dispensed thicker, so I'm glad this is aerosol. I'm surprised I found a hairspray that isn't $15+ that I like.

I feel like Suave is really stepping up their game! I've been reaching for Suave products at the drugstore more and more lately. This being one of my newest purchases which I am pleased with. The smell is amazing and so are many of their newer formulated products that are more comparable to higher end haircare items! The hold isn't a stiff extra hold but this is stated that it is a light or lightweight hold so I'm not complaining. I don't feel this should effect any amount of lippies given if you've read the bottle you know what you bought as I did. I will admit I gravitated to this because it was a pink bottle. After spraying a little in the store I loved the smell and was sold there. I use this on my straight hair days to tame fly a ways. I wouldn't use this on a day I waved or curled my hair because with my stubborn to take hair this hairspray wouldn't hold up but hair would drop in no time. Fortunately for me I go straight more than anything else so I make good use out of this. Overall this product does as stated there was no false advertising or suggests made and I got what I expected out of this. Plus at the price (about $3) and the smell it's a good hair perfume if I don't find use for it's hold.

I love this hairspray! I'm in the military so of course I have to wear my hair up for work everyday. This does the job without making my hair crunchy or stiff. It is nicely scented (kind of sweet smelling) but it won't compete with your perfume. It lasts all day plus it is cheap. I've used other hairsprays (drugstore to high end) and always come back to this one. When I scrunch my naturally curly hair and wear it down, I use a little of this and my hair is never crunchy. Try it, you won't regret it :)))

This is my favorite hairspray. I think it smells hairsprayish versus fruity, but it's pretty lightly scented and I don't get a headache from the scent. It holds ok even in humidity (I don't heat style usually - when I do I go for more heavy duty hairspray). It doesn't make my hair feel crispy to the touch and best of all, you can actually brush your hair if you need to and won't have an epic mess of tangles and doom.
The downside is that the pump/nozzles like to self destruct - it happened with a can of this before and I've had that issue with some other products off the suave line.

This is the best hairspray I have probably ever used, and I have tried many. I have a very demanding style and tend to stray toward "helmet-y" hair quite often to keep it all in place. This hairspray does exactly that without a bad plume of hairspray stink. It is affordable, easily found, and can be used for just one or multiple coats of spray. I sincerely hope Suave sticks with the formula in this hairspray because it's perfect!

Great bargain for a quality product! I first picked this up when I saw the label had "compare to Sebastin Shaper". I really didn't believe that Suave could compare with my beloved Shaper but for two bucks I figured it was worth a shot. I was suprised in a very good way. I think Shaper smells a bit better but this is an excellent light hairspray that keeps your hair in place while being easy to brush out. I would definitely recommend.

I really adore this hairspray. A nice fruit smell, I reallly like that. Helps tamenflyways when straighting and curls in place when curling. Nice when I also wanna uss my regular.full, straight hair with lots of bend and wispy layers (why I straighten my hair) the nozzel can be annoying bit since I love the product so much i will totally repurchase!!

This is the best hairspray. Not sticky and it is very flexible, but it also holds great. I will continue to buy this as long as Sauve puts it out. Great product!!!

Super afforable and smells very fruity which i like.I use this on my bangs to keep them in place and i really like it.It's not sticky and doesn't make my hair feel crunchy.

I had bought a Suave product (shampoo/conditioner?) that gave this away with it for free. I did this instead of wasting the money on a full size when I didn't know whether or not it'd work. It's a really nice light hold finishing spray. There is a pleasant (but not overbearing) scent to this. If you're sensitive to smells then this isn't for you. It does hold okay but I'd like a bit more. The nozzle on this is nice and your fingers fit snugly in there. Also I dyed my hair black and apparently a lot of my old hairsprays would show up (looking like dandruff). I was so upset 'cause it didn't do this with my virgin dark brown hair. I asked in a forum why this is and got told I was using too much (<WTF?). It wasn't that. Apparently some hairsprays just show up on dark hair. This product does not show on black hair unless you run a brush through your hair after spraying (which happens). Other than that I really like this.
Note: I did put a "no" for buying again only because I need better hold. I will be getting this one's twin that has the "extra hold" instead.

I hate hairspray with a passion, that is except this one. I LOVE this hairspray! In the past every hairspray flattened my fine textured and curl resistant hair in seconds leaving me with crunchy, straight, and stick like hair. If my curls would fall out why put up with crunchy hair? I stopped using hairspray all together. A small can of this came with a bottle of Suave conditioner and after curling my hair one day decided, "Why not?". I'm glad I did! It held my curls all day without weighing my hair down, making it crunchy, or giving me the "hairspray a-hoy" look. For me the smell wasn't too strong and wore off fairly quickly. I highly recommend this spray for people with fine textured hair. It is amazing stuff!

This is my favorite hairspray!! I really like this hairspray because you can vary the amount of hold depending on how much I spray on my hair. Also, it's not made with water so it doesn't make your hair feel wet and it also doesn't make your hair frizz up like usual hairsprays do for me. The smell is also good as well. I recommend 100%

I've been using Elnett for awhile, but it does get expensive to for everyday use and I absolutely cannot stand the smell. So, I thought I'd give this a go, seeing as how it's so cheap. I'm really loving it!! The mist is super fine so you can apply a second (or 3rd! guilty!) coat if you need to, and it won't get that tacky feeling or the helmut look. The other thing is, it smells AWESOME! It's a really light fruity smell, not overpowering at all to me. Will most definitely be repurchasing this product.

This is a great lightweight hairspray to tame frizz or flyaway. I usually like to keep my hair free of styling products but there are just times the hair goes out of control. The spray also protects hair against humidity, which is a plus for people with medium-thick hair that needs the extra help to keep the hair in place. This Suave product definitely performs at a professional level at an extremely affordable price.

Great product!! My hair is very fine, but there is a lot of it so I need something that holds but doesnt weigh it down. This hairspray is perfect. I tried Pantene's hairspray for fine hair and it is terrible- sticky, heavy, my hair ends up flat and all the curls fall out and I end up with crunchy, straight hair. Yuck.
THIS PRODUCT WORKS, though, it is the best hairspray I've found for my hair. I used it for the first time today and at the end of the day my hair looks like I just styled it. Very happy with the results. Couldnt ask for a better or cheaper product.

This is a nice hairspray, especially for less than $3. This is marketed as having an "ultra fine mist" and it does, although the mist sprays rather widely. This reminds me of Tresemme Tres Two and L'Oreal Elnett in that you can brush through it and add a ton without it getting sticky. It doesn't look like I have hairspray in my hair when I use this. My hair just has more body and texture than it does without it and it helps keep my hair from getting frizzy. The only thing I don't like is the fruity scent, though I do admit it is 1000 times better than Elnett's bug spray smell.

Note: This is the one in the silver can with a light pink cap. The heavier hold aerosol hairspray is in the exact same can with a magenta cap.
