I love this product and use it as a weekly treatment. i know its a leave in and it works great as a leave in. however i use it by applying it all over my hair, especially at the roots/scalp, and then sleeping on it overnight. rinse out as normal the next day. i have been doing this for a year now and my hair is strong and healthy and i have noticed it grows faster than before i used to do this. it is an excellent product.

This is by far the best leave-in conditioner I've found. No matter how much I use, my hair never feels crunchy or looks oily. The product works well with both blow drying and air drying. It mixes well with other products such as volumizers, so I can use it when I'm styling my hair as well. It leaves my hair soooooo soft and even adds a bit of volume with regular use. This product has greatly improved the overall health of my hair. It completely seals the cuticle and prevents split ends and flyaways. It smells great too. The only thing I don't like is the bottle; I'm not a fan of pumps, as I find it difficult to control the amount of product you get, and the pump can be wasteful and cumbersome. The travel size versions are just standard twist off tops, and I wish Redken would use this bottle type with the larger size. I recommend this product to all my girlfriends.

I used this years ago but got bored with it eventually. I've got fine hair that - even though it's no longer bleached and I take very good care of it - is VERY prone to snapping. I've tried every product on earth and I think that my hair just naturally lacks protein because of its fine texture. It's always soft but definitely needs strength. So back to Anti Snap, new IPN formula, which I've been using for 2 weeks now. I use two pumps every time I wash and it's perfect - never leaves my ends crunchy or hard, doesn't seem to build up protein or leave any residue. I LOVE the smell too! My ends definitely are in very good shape and I feel Anti Snap is already helping. Hair is very soft, shiny and generally healthy looking. I use the Extreme shampoo, conditioner and CAT too once a week.
Note that my hair is untreated and virgin, I do blow dry but never straighten, and yet the Extreme products doesn't make it hard. I was pretty aware of possible protein overload, but this hasn't happened at all. Very reasonable price if you buy online (here in Denmark Redken is just as expensive as Kerastase).

This is the product everyone needs when trying to prevent split ends. I've been growing my hair out for 4 years now and I was getting horrible split ends. Of course I went and got a trim every 4-6 weeks, but they kept coming back really bad right after I got them cut! I use my GHD about once a week ( if that), never blow dry, use AG's Recoil curl cream, etc. I've had this for about 10 months now but I was always too scared of using it on a more regular basis because I don't want a protein overload, but on my most recent cut the stylist told me to use a pump every time I wash my hair to prevent split ends as it is a lighter protein treatment. It has been helping SO much to prevent split ends! My ends are still softer and stronger than they normally would be now. I use this only on my ends. Also, the smell is really digusting- like potatoes! BUT it is an amazing product and it is so good it doesn't *need* to smell good. I highly recommend this and will continue to purchase this for years to come!

Great product for strengthening hair. Be careful to not use too much. Also when using this try to eliminate other proteins in other hair products or it will be too much of a good thing. Will always continue to go to this product when I need to. Try some around your roots to help hair from the start.

So I finished two bottles of this stuff and I think it is time to be reviewed. About my hair: it is thick wavey and it has been bleached three times and dyed over that. You can only imagine the damage my hair has. This stuff has saved my hair. After I used up my first bottle, I didn't rebuy and I noticed my hair having more breakage and becoming more stretchy when wet. Then, I bought another bottle and started using it again and I have so much less breakage. It is one of those things that you really notice when you stop using it. I think this product is a must for bleached hair. I do not use it after every time I shower. I use it about 2 times a week and about 3-4 pumps per use for my thick hair that is halfway down my back. Also, only put this in on damp hair! It is amazing. My HG product for damaged hair. So, if you have bleached damaged hair, please give this a try! I can't live without it.

This product rocks. My hair stylist recommended this because of all the bleach I've used on my hair. She said chemically treated hair needs a good balance between moisture and protein. I have now been using this for about a year. Redken is a little expensive for me but you don't need much with this product at all. Plus you really shouldn't be using it every time you wash. I wash my hair 3-4 times a week and only use this after one wash per week. Too much protein on your hair is not good. I have only used about half a bottle in a year! This has done wonders for helping me grow out my front layers which were always snapping and not growing. I will buy this again.

I can honestly say this has saved my hair. After all the dying and bleaching ive done in the past few months i needed something that worked wonders. The only thing i'll say is that you dont need a lot or your hair will go crunchy. It is a little expensive but its worth it. unfortunatly i will not be repurchasing this because it is tested on animals/not cruelty-free

It's always a pleasure when a product actually does what it says it will do. Now, my hair has been through hell and back over the last few months; repeated dye jobs and subpar shampoos/conditioners made it weak to the point of breaking off and feeling like a brillo pad when completely dry.

Well, I can safely say that, because of this product, my hair now feels incredibly strong and healthy, and I don't even think this is its full potential - I expect even better results to occur with continued use. Please be aware that, like other reviewers have said, this is not a leave-in conditioner, nor should it be used daily on hair that is sensitive to protein and/or extremely healthy - using it will cause hair of this type to become dry and brittle. The key to using this product is to balance it with a moisturizing product, otherwise it will work, but hair may become frizzy.

I have quite long hair, and I find that two pumps of this provides enough product to adequately saturate my hair and get the job done. The product itself is very lightweight, yet still packs a punch as it is absorbed quickly and can be used with other styling products. It is relatively expensive, but because you don't need to use very much it should last you a while, plus at the end of the day you really get a highly underrated product that should be priced higher given the amazing job it does.

I will repurchase again and again (or at least until my hair doesn't need any more protein rehab)!

My hair was still very tangled after working this product in with my fingers and when my hair dried, it was quite frizzy. The conditioner from this line is awesome, however.

Well, I'm going to review the old formula I haven't yet tried the new stuff yet but I'm sure it's quite the same? I love this stuff. It smells amazing but it does the job. My hair breaks off sooo much and I need something to give it a little protein and protect it from daily activities. It's good for highly damaged hair and you can even use it with heat styling.

Why the HELL did I ever stop using this product? I can't remember exactly. In 2009 I ditched it for Paul Mitchell's Super Skinny Serum & it's been a greasy slippery slope since then. Recently (December 2012) I found a bottle that had been gifted to me months ago but went without use. I ran out of Chi Silk Remedy Serum & used this out of sheer desperation. My thinning, fine, damaged hair sure did thank me! Redken Anti Snap makes my hair look much healthier, protects it from heat, undoes a tiny bit of the damage, and even gives my hair body!!! I can not imagine this product ever weighing it down, causing my hair to look even thinner like serums do. If you straighten or blow dry your hair, this product is also great because it'll keep your hair styled. I will repurchase! This is my refound HG hair product lol.

I've had no luck with leave in conditioners unless you consider moroccan oil a leave in, but this is an exception. My hair is very soft and shiny when I use this, and my ends are much happier :) however, it still gives me that slightly stiff/limp "product" look which is why it only gets 4 stars. But I heard your not supposed to use this every time you wash anyways, it's more of a treatment that you do every few washes. Soooo, in that case, I can deal with the "product" look and will gladly buy this again to keep my ends happy, my ends tend to be such a nightmare! Oh also this smells delish, like candy :)

On recommendation I switched to using Extreme a few months ago. My hair is reasonably long, and has been regularly enhanced with blonde highlights for almost as long as I can remember.
As a result I need a damn good, nourishing conditioner to finish each wash.

The shampoo from this range is no better than any run-of-the-mill supermarket shampoos. It certainly cleans your hair of any residual styling producst you may have in it, but it also feels as though it is completely stripping the hair of anything good too! I'd liken it to one as simple as "Flex"...

The conditioner does little to appease the stripping that the shampoo has done to your hair. It definitely improves the state to feel a little more silky but does not improve the quality of your hair At All.

I was even more disappointed with the Extreme Anti-Snap treatment. I have used a variety of leave in conditioners over the years but this one is definitely one of the worst. While it might help slightly with de-tangling it certainly doesn't do what it purports to of 'preventing breakage and split ends'. My hair is in the worst condition it has been in years.

I couldn't be more disappointed.

I absolutely LOVE this product!! I had bleach blonde hair and I wanted to go back dark, but my hair was absolutely fried from the bleach. I started to use this product to help my hair and I fell in love! It smells amazing! I use this after I get out of the shower and before I blow-dry my hair and I apply this to my ends and where I have short hairs from breakage. This product makes my hair super soft and it has made it healthy again. I would definately recommend this product!!

I get jaded with thousands of products and nothing works. I wouldn't mind spending money on something if i knew it worked, since nothing does, i just buy whatever drugstore is on sale often. But i got this at a Beauty store, and it works! Makes my hair feel wonderful. Pump allows you not to use too much but somehow the bottle finishes quick. I have a lot of hair though and its long. Long, thick and dry. Its also been Japanese straightened as well in the past and i flat iron and blow dry. I would def repurchase. My hair just feels so much better. I only use 1-2 a week either after shower which allows me to have great hair sans blow dryer/flat iron. Or i use it after i flat iron at night. I cant quite explain what it does, but it works. Makes my hair feel soft but not like with a serum with cones and makes it fall nicely with great volume. I can't suggest if i have less breakage or fall out since like i said i have a lot of hair and i shed a lot of hair anyway, but my hair def feels healthier and softer.

Redken Anti-snap works pretty well !! SOME THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW:

For me, if I use too much of this, it can make my ends look like straw or strngy. You ONLY need a little bit, like for me i can only use some on my index finger or on both my index finger and another finger (so that is a small amount) i rub it on the rest of my fingers together and put it only on my ends or the ends of my bangs. I give it a 4 because of this reason- cannot use too much

Also, I only use this about 2-3 times a week. there is a lot of protein in there, so do not use it everyday - i have even confirmed this with my professional stylist.

Oh, and IT SMELLS AMAZING
Overall, I really like this product. I would buy again because I hate split ends and I like to protect them and prevent them as much as possible
