This stuff is pretty amazing as far as I'm concerned. My skin can barely handle any moisturiser, it always breaks out, it seems like EVERYTHING clogs my pores. Clinique, Shiseido, Clarins, Chanel, Biotherm, Vichy, Lancome, Kanebo, even all the organic stuff from Lush and what not: they ALL make me break out. Especially anything with an SPF in it... So I have been spending waaaaay too much cash on all of these brands trying to find a daily moisturiser with SPF that would not break me out... After all these years (am 31 now) I have finally found it!
This stuff feels slightly greasy when I put it on (even though it's a lotion and quite runny) so I was a little worried. But it has not broken me out at all and I've been using it now since about February. I also didn't really realise how this kept the greasies at bay until I ran out recently!
My skin is looking really good now, and I used to have serious problem skin. In winter I found that although this is great for daytime, it didn't really get rid of dehydration lines as much as I would like so I added Hydrationist (same packaging, just a different colour) from Estee Lauder to my routine for night time. That has helped tremendously (and also has not caused any zits, hallelujah!).
Right now my routine is like this:
Morning: cleanse with MAC charged water cleanser on a cotton pad, apply DayWear.
Evening: take off makeup + cleanse skin with MAC charged water cleanser on a cotton pad, apply Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair serum, apply Hydrationist.
I am never touching the Clinique 3 step horror or other harsh cleansers and pore-clogging creams and lotions ever again... No more cystic acne for me thanks. After all the money I pumped down the drain and all the years spent looking for something that would work with my skin I never thought I'd actually see the day that I could leave the house without makeup and not feel embarrassed. Gonna stick with MAC and Estee Lauder products for my face from now on. Not cheap, but certainly cheaper than buying stuff that I don't use up because it pisses off my skin ;)

I use this moisturizer in the summer, when my normal sunscreen/moisturizer feels a bit too heavy. It's lightweight, contains lots of good antioxidants, smells like cucumbers, and since it's specifically formulated for oily skin, works great for me. The only downsides are the relatively low SPF of 15, and of course, the price. But overall, an excellent product for the warmer months.

This moisturizer used to work for me, but I guess they changed the formula. It feels really greasy on my face, and I feel the need to wash my face immediately after putting it on.

i LOVE this moisturizer, its perfect for my sensitive, oily acne-prone skin. i love the fact that it also contains SPF! I am super sensitive to scent and although this has a strong cucumber melon scent, it doesn't bother me as is dissipates quickly. I would def. repurchase this over and over again

I have been using the old version since I was 17-18 years old and I am now 27 and still use this the new version has made no difference. I first was interested in this moisturiser when I read about it having antioxidants and how it eliminates the affects of free radicals. When I eventually purchased it it didn't disappoint it soaked into my normal/combination skin. Not much is needed meaning it lasts for ages on average 6-8 months. I have been tempted away by other brands BUT ways I return to this. I had extremely dry skin behind my ear from a skin test for hair colouring. I liberally put this and within 2 nights it was gone. I use the combination creme. It is a great moisturiser for any foundation. Have been repurchasing for nearly a decade and will not change.

This is a really great product! I'm not out in the sun a lot, so a SPF 15 is perfect for me. If I need more, I'll wear a SPF 60 from La Roche Posay on top. This has the best cucumber scent and makes your skin feel fresh and moisturized. I like the lotion because my skin can be oilier and I prefer products with a pump as it is more hygenic. This is a great product for a great price too!

A nice, light lotion for oily-acne prone skin. I used the spf 30 version until it was discontinued and absolutely loved it. This is the updated version- it doesn't make me greasy and works well under makeup. The big problem, though, is the scent. The old version never bothered me and was subtle, but the fragrance in the new version seems a bit more floral and incredibly strong. It's frustrating- takes a long time to fade and it's overwhelming, as if I'd sprayed perfume right on my face. It makes me feel a bit nauseated and I'm not sensitive with scents. Why, Estee Lauder, what's the point? Sadly, just for this reason, I wouldn't buy again.

This is the best moisturizer for me right now. I have tried the daywear in the jar but always found it too heavy, or slippery feeling, like my makeup would slide off, and dont like it being in a jar. but this stuff is fantastic. its light, very moisturizing, sinks in, and *doesnt break me out*! my makeup goes on great over top. good sun protection, and a great level of antioxidants. Im 30 and need as much prevention as I can get. my skin feels so comfortable. its $40-something, but worth it, and I love love love the pump. smells like cucumber melon.

This review is for the reformulation of Daywear Plus, which Daywear Advanced has replaced. It is an update of that popular product, and Estee Lauder seem to have fixed some of the problems people complained about before: according to my EL sales assistant, they improved the sun protection so it now offers UVA and UVB protection. This review is for the Lotion for oily skin, but the change in formulation applies across the whole Daywear range.
I am in my early 20s and have combination skin which is clog-prone and can be quite sensitive. Daywear Advanced lotion is perfect - its very light and is absorbed quickly. I apply it after cleansing in the morning and my skin feels velvety-soft all day. As it has SPF 15, it provides adequate sun protection in the gloomy weather where I live! I haven't had any breakouts or clogging with this product at all.
The packaging for the lotion is great and very elegant - a mint-green bottle with a gold cap. You can pump out the lotion, which I love - I don't like sticking my fingers into jars of product, doesn't seem hygienic. It has a delicious cucumber smell and feels cooling and soothing when applied to skin.
I will keep using Daywear for years to come, it's a staple in my skincare routine providing light moisture and basic protection for daily use.
