I actually used the Sunthera3 gradual self tanner and I have to say, it was a great experience. I used it every day for a week after showering (id suggest exfoliating your skin). When applying it, I would mix it with some normal lotion to avoid streaking and keep my skin hydrated. It never, ever streaked, and it was like a real tan. I noticed with Jergens that it started peeling off so I had a bunch of random white patches.. But this self tanner really sinks into the skin. I am quite pale, and it never looks orange (except on the hands, so u should scrub your hands after). It gradually turns into a nice dark brown, not dirty brown, but a beautiful brown. My gym class went swimming and my friend came up to me, and said "wow, you are really tan!!". I'd suggest using it every day for a week, and after that applying it every 2 or 3 days :) Also, it never stained my clothing because i would wait about 5 mins before getting dressed and it was fine

I've used around 20 or so different self tanners, and the color from this one is just wonderful !! I've been using it for over a year now. It's so much better than any other self tanner tint that I've ever tried. It's an olive brown, not orange whatsoever. It goes on tinted so you can see where you're applying it. It comes with gloves because it stains skin quickly, and if you apply with your bare hands they'll be dyed very dark brown once you're finished. It's a bit harder to get an even application with the gloves on, but the resulting color is worth it. :) I use it year round, apply it two to three nights in a row to build a rich tan that lasts for a week or two, that I get complimented on ALL the time. I apply it right before bed, and wash it off in the shower in the morning. The scent is pretty typical for a self tanner, but I really don't mind it.

> not orange.. so important to me, it comes out of the bottle a brown tint and stays a brown tint
> no steaks
> forgiving as it is mostly gradual
> scented ok
> doesn't break me out at all
> cheap :)
> sticky.. takes a while to dry into skin but hasn't stained my clothes yet
> can be a little time consuming to apply but no longer than a thorough lotion application
> doesn't last very long if you don't apply everyday or every other day
basically, this hasn't turned me orange and actually looks like a tan which I have NEVER found. I don't like spending lots of money and trying out lots of kinda of sunless tanner so this is fine for me!
P.S- I couldn't find a page for the 'sunless flawless' by the same brand but don't buy it....................... that's all.

I'm currently using this product to get some colour for my New Years Eve celebration. I'm a rather pale individual who takes forever to tan, and am not about to try tanning booths. First application and I'm the most tan I've been in quite a few years, and it's not at all yellow. It looks so natural! I used a minimal amount and there was no weird greasyness or anything left behind. I wanted to get some colour on my face as well so I mixed a bit of the lotion with my moisturizer and didn't have any averse reaction. I'll be applying more tomorrow to build up some more colour and I'll be done (other than maintenance). It also wasn't super expensive which was nice too. Love this product!

This is a review both for the cream version and the tinted version. Although the tinted version gives you immediate colour and is easy to apply because the tint tells you if you have missed a spot, I do not like how sticky it feels, or how it seems to settle on your skin. Your skin doesn't actually seem to absorb it, so instead it actually is like a layer of colour over your skin. This would be fine, except that when it begins to wear off it does so in small patches so make you look like you have a skin disorder.
On the other hand, the cream version of this develops over a few days with daily application (much like Jergen's glow) and is WONDERFUL. It doesn't streak, it eventually just fades once you stop reapplying. Like a body lotion, your skin absorbs it so it isn't sticky. There is no irritating smell afterward and best of all the colour is unbelievable! Not even a hint of orange. It looks like the real thing! I've had numerous people comment on how much sun I've had! I've tried many many sunless tanners this by far is the best - and it is cheap! Will repurchase till Shopper's is out of stock!
EDIT and Update - this does not wear off smoothly at all. It is patchy and dirty looking regardless of the gel or cream. Sigh. Back to the drawing board.

Like the reviewer below, I give this a solid 4. The color on first application is not drastic, but better than a gradual tanner. If you want more color, apply it 2 or 3 days in a row and it will give you a nice brown (not orange) color. I really like the fact that it's tinted so you can see where you are putting it and it even comes with a pair of latex gloves. The only things I didn't like about this tanner is that it doesn't sink in fast and it leaves my skin sticky. Also, be careful because it will stain clothes. Other than that, this is a pretty good self tanner for around $10. I'm on my second bottle already.

This is a solid 4. The results are not drastic with one use so it is very forgiving, streakwise. I was nervous after application because my face looked covered in mud and my body was a little blotchy, but once I showered the next day I had a beautiful glow. I would say it took me from NC 20 to a light NC 30. I found the colour to be very natural...when I tan I get sort of golden and this mimicked that. I got A LOT of compliments from my tan..many people said I looked very beautiful but they couldn't put their finger on what was different :)
Against my better judgement, I used this on my face. It does contain fragrance and alcohol, but the drugstore was all out of the clinique self tanner so rather than have a face that didnt match, I risked it. It did not irritate my face or cause an eczema flare up, but of course did colour my dry patch (from where a recent flare up was healing) darker. Once I washed it off it was barely noticeable and I covered with foundation anyway....typically my eczema patch would be darker than the rest of my skin anyway.
Overall, this was a steal at 6.99 but I am eager to try St. Tropez and probably will not stick to Life Brand on a regular basis. Good in a pinch (however the smell still bothers me...smells good going on but then turns to the rancid rotten flesh smell of all self tanners...ugh!)
