I always thought Avon was a bad quality brand, but after buying so many beauty products I´ve concluded you can find something that suits your needs anywhere at any price.
Although this is not my HG, I would say, overall, is a good sunscreen.
Great moisturizing texture, no white cast, no extreme shine and no taste -not sure if someone has experienced this, but as soon as I apply certain sunscreens I sense a bitter taste-.
It hasn´t been a long time since I bought it -half price btw- so I´m not sure yet about the antiaging properties.
And about it´s main purpose -protect the skin from sun- is more a matter of hope: my sunspots are not darker nor lighter -even using a night cream from the same brand- and through the years, those lovely spots have been "moving" all over, sometimes are smaller and sometimes bigger -like now-, no matter which sunscreen I use.
Honestly, as dumb as it sounds, I feel safer using it.

Loving this - I was just in Mexico and my face and neck did not tan (much) or get burned at all. I squirt a bit of Lucy's Sweet Dreams Ambrosia in it to make it a moisturizer and slather it over. It absorbs very nicely and does not clog my pores.
I also like that it's in a tube that I can squeeze rather than a jar like most of Avon's other moisturizers.

I had such high hopes for this sunscreen! The first time I applied it, I got the worst "underground" pimple that I have ever had, right between my eyes. It took forever to heal and I usually don't have that problem with pimples. My husband tried this [he has the most zit-resistant skin I've ever seen] and he broke out as well with the "underground" pimples that I got.

I think if you have skin that is the least bit oily or breakout prone, you'd be better to skip this or use it on your body because you will probably break out if you use it on your face.

I'm really happy with my purchase of this, as a matter of fact this is my new HG day facial lotion. I'm really glad Avon came out with a higher SPF lotion. I was using Neutrogena's antioxidant with spf 20 but that's just not enough for the desert sun. This is a thick lotion but it does really absorb very quickly and doesn't leave my face greasy. It doesn't have that strong sunscreen smell that higher SPF lotions sometimes has. I haven't been using it that long so I'll have to update on it's anti-aging claims. But that is a bonus for me if it works, my main sell was on the SPF factor. I should mention that I got this on eBay. It is on sale right now on Avon's website. It seems high priced normally at $35 for 2.6 oz. I paid $17 which is a good price compared to the Neutrogena which is the same price for 1.7 oz.

EDIT: I'm dropping down this one lippie. While I still love it and will buy it again more than likely, be careful not to get this anywhere near your eyes. It can migrate on me and move towards my eyes and it stings like crazy and my eyes water like a fountain. I still love it though, it's my favorite face sunscreen ever.

May 7th. I just received my ebay order of the face and body sunscreen (.17 oz. face & .5 oz body) I had to try it immediately. Let me give you a little background. I am 47 with fairskin so I burn easy, I had a small spot of basal cell skin cancer on my décolleté. I do not leave the house without at lease SPF 30. I have been using retin A micro for a little over a week, because of this my regular ss burns when I apply it. Typically I do not have sensitive skin. I have some acne scars, fine lines, light wrinkles, the 11 between my eyes is rather deep. I have been told "i look good for my age" LOL

First application, it smells nice (it reminds me of something but I just can't place it!) fresh maybe kind of a sweet light floral not overpowering at all. No burning. You do not need a lot, at first it appears a little shiny, no white cast and feels almost powdery. It has been fifteen minutes, I just checked in the mirror and I see a very little bit of shine more of a matte finish. I always pat my face with a towel shortly after applying ss to get rid of any shine. My skin feels very soft an added bonus. I haven't been wearing foundation but for those who may wonder I will go put some on. I only put it on my forehead, it went on just fine no balling. Ok I keep touching my face it is very soft.
Sorry for the length of this but since this is the first review I wanted to be thorough. This got awesome reviews at the Avon site, I can't wait to see the results! It costs more than most drugstore brands but less than dept. store. It is on sale 2.6 oz for $24 (usually $34) From the Avon website:
Formulated with RepairShield™ Technology. Dramatically reduces the look of wrinkles and visibly diminishes discolorations. Broad-spectrum UVA/UVB protection. Lightweight, quick-absorbing. Very water-resistant. In vitro test shows 50% repair of skin cell sun damage in 24 hrs.
I do plan on purchasing a full size bottle, in the mean time I will update my review accordingly. I am so happy to have a sun screen that not only protects but repairs my skin! I hope it lives up to its claims. I will review the body ss later.
May 8th I woke up with a medium sized pimple in the center of my cheek. This is odd because any acne I get is usually in my T-zone area. The only thing I did different other than the sunscreen is I used dr. dennis gross alpha beta daily face peel. I have used this peel before and don't remember any problems.
5/11/11 EDIT
I got up Monday morning and thought does my skin look better? yes it does. I didn't have time to tell you guys. Well it's Wednesday and there is considerable amount of difference in my skin! It has never been this even toned! I can't believe it. I have tried Retin A micro ( i stopped using it to give this a fair chance), TCA peels and tons of beauty products, all those high end ones including the $600 an oz!. Nothing has ever made this much of a difference! Do yourself a favor at least purchase one of the sample tubes. I was worried about break outs but my face is a clear as can be. The pimple I got the day after trying this is faded almost no sign that it was ever there! This is a keeper and sun protection too! Hopefullly this will encourage people who don't usually wear sunscreen to start wearing it. I just can't say enought about this I have never been this excited about a beauty product! Again sorry this is so long. :-)
