I'd been wanting to try these Fresh Sugar balms for ages, so finally took the plunge and bought Honey.
I wanted something for work and my criteria was something that would be a decent MLBB or something with just a bit of color to perk up my face, was moisturizing, and that I could reapply throughout the day without having to look in a mirror. Honey nailed it, nailed it, and nailed it.
It is *truly* MLBB for me. I find it extremely moisturizing!
I actually feel like Honey is much more a moisturizing lipstick than a tinted lip balm. It is *exactly* like a nice lipstick in texture. Super creamy. It doesn't feel like any lip balm I've ever used (and I've used them all). Coverage is beautiful, and you don't need a lot. It is so creamy and opaque, yet not cakey and doesn't look like you're wearing a lot of lipstick. Just beautiful. It's not super shiny and it's not matte; I'd say satin finish describes it perfectly. The color is extremely flattering and I think would look great on just about anyone. The lasting power is very decent, and it wears down gradually rather than just wearing off, which keeps your lips really soft and the color looking good no matter what.
I am absolutely in love. This is EXACTLY what I wanted, to the T. I wear it to work just about every day, and I wear it just about everywhere else when I want a MLBB, too. Fresh is GENIOUS with the packaging of this. The tube is nice and weighty, nice metal-y material, looks very chic and high-end...and it twists closed!! I love knowing that it is safe and secure and the cap won't come off in my purse or pocket. The only downside is, of course, the price. This stuff isn't cheap! I am almost bummed out that I love it so much, because I literally do not want to be without this stuff in my purse ever again. I will repurchase and cringe at the cost but flip my hair in dismissal as my lips are super soft and look oh so lovely. I am dying to try the Coral one.

I'm addicted to the Rose and Plum versions of this lip balm and I really want to love this one as well. The texture just isn't the same. It has more of a heavy chapstick feel as opposed to the light creamy feeling of the others and the color is much more opaque. It's nice straight out of the tube but looks best when layered over a glossier balm. I have to layer this over Rosebud Salve to be comfortable but it does give a nice sheer nude lip that way. If it wasn't so expensive I might buy this again just for the color but for that much money I shouldn't need two products.

Applies smoothly, has a great scent (surprising for a Fresh product, as most Fresh products I've encountered have an earthy scent that can be off-putting), has SPF, and the color is subtle and easy to apply without having to rely on a mirror. Honey isn't my favorite shade as the color is a little too subtle on me, but it's still nice enough. Love the metal case--helps to prevent accidental openings in my purse or makeup bag.
It is pricey for a lip balm: I usually try to get my Sugar balms as part of Fresh combo sets so the cost isn't that bad. And the tubes seem to last me a long time so that helps to offset what I spend.

I bought into the hype and regretted it. I've seen numerous friends and customers apply this product on themselves and all swore by it, so I thought, "Why not? Obviously I need it." I was wrong. Number one, it's definitely a lot more expensive than I thought. Over $22 for 1.5oz of a product was a little crazy for me, especially someone like me, who is hooked on $1 Spearmint Chapstick, but I figured that it must be worth it. Number two, with a flavor labeled as "Honey," I expected a true honey scent, but was very disappointed with the lemon-y smell. Number three, the color is definitely not what I would expect from something labeled as "Honey." When I think of honey, I think of a cream/yellow/gold. This shade is more of a pinky/nude-brown in the tube, very brown on my pink-pigmented lips. Also a huge bummer. Lastly, I bought this because I thought it would help with my super chapped, extra dry and peely lips, but even though it makes my lips a little soft, I still find myself needing to apply this every 10-minutes when I'm not wearing a matte lipstick, which I can easily just do with my Chapstick. Kind of bummed out it didn't work for me, especially after reading so much appraisal from other members, but I'm sad to say that I'll be returning this tomorrow.

Despite such a beautiful colour and delicious scent, this glorified Chapstick wrecked havoc on my lips. I was initially drawn to the Fresh lip balm line when I missed out on my Sephora beauty insiders birthday gift this year, and thought if it's good enough for their free gift, I should check it out. I bought the trial size gift pack with Passion and Berry (both colours look so-so against my pale skin). Immediately on the first application of Honey I was delighted by the warm brown-pink shade. Some say it can look muddy, but it reminds me of Rouge Coco 05 in Mademoiselle, which is a very wearable shade. The only problem is that this formula dries my lips out to no end. I could start out with perfectly moisturized lips, apply Honey, and in one hour, the formula will be gone (leaving a pretty lip stain) but my lips will already be dry and scaling. Not cute! I've tried Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer in Caramel, and although I prefer a matte finish like with Fresh Sugar Honey, at least the Burt's doesn't give me lizard lips... The scent is nice (fresh lemon combined with icing sugar) but the packaging is ridiculous. I left a brand new, unused tube of Berry in my purse and it somehow twisted itself until it was mushed into the cap of the tube. Overall, a dud purchase. Would not buy again, and will just stick to Burt's Bees.

Perfection, tried all lip products as on Acutane, dry lips, thoght Molton Brown was the best but this is 100% better and a nice color, nothing very bright but a bit noticeable, a nudish touch of pink, just a tiny bit, or berry. But more nude/natural honey than anything. So loved it I bought two.

This is not the color I was expecting. I have tried the clear and the rose color and I loved them both although I wanted a more natural earthy looking color. This color showed up pinky rose on me which is a pretty color but just not what I'm looking for. I love this lip treatment because it MOISTURIZES one of the few that actually does it. (It's a little waxy but it also seems to sink into your lips and moisturize) Infact, I will probably purchase (in another color) because it moisturizes so well. I love the SPF! I love that it's tinted. But the smell....so very sunscreen like. The other colors I tried were not so and smelled just perfectly fine but this honey one seems a bit off! Also, it melts..yes, that issue. In the hot heat. Unfortunatly, most of my products end up spending some time chilling in the hot heat. I bought this product for 22 bucks not including tax. Within two weeks of constant use it was half over. Way to expensive for that and there are other products out there that can moisturize as well. So I will not be buying this but perhaps one day in another color.

I love lip colors but I have dry lips that tend to peel, and most lipsticks just settle into my lines, are too drying, and are just uncomfortable for me. Lipgloss can be very moisturizing but the stickiness is really annoying. Lip butters are nice, like the one from Korres, but those little tubs are so impractical and messy that I never end up using them. I like the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment because it strikes the perfect balance between all of these products. The texture is super smooth and moisturizing, making it comfortable to wear. Honey is a wonderful MLBB shade for my pigmented, dark pink lips-- it doesn't clash with or wash out my natural color; it enhances it seamlessly. It doesn't settle into lines and is the perfect semi-sheer nude that makes me look more polished, yet still natural. It also gives a healthy-looking dose of non-sticky shine. The result is all-around enhancement. My lips just look smoother, healthier, fuller and not bare. It also has a lovely but grown up sugar-lemon scent and comes in a beautiful twist-cap metal sleeve that makes me feel elegant when I take it out to put it on. I love wearing this to work or on the weekends to look more put together with minimal effort, as it's the only lip product you really need. It is overpriced, but it's one of the few lip products that I actually use up because it's so elegant yet easy to wear.

The Pros:
- Glides on smooth
- Does not contain any petroleum derivatives
- Is a lovely brown-pink shade great for everyday use.
- The lipstick design makes it really easy to use.
The Cons:
- EXORBITANT price for a lipbalm
- VERY artificial smell, the smell is a real turn off if you're sensitive to strong scents right under your nose.
Won't be buying this one again

I've always wanted to try Fresh's Lip Treatments, but felt them horribly overpriced at $22.50 for basically a lip balm. A nicely moisturizing, non-greasy, and long-wearing lip balm, but a lip balm nonetheless. Honey is a pretty pinky-brown in the tube and on my arm, but on my lips it's nonexistent. Wouldn't recommend to anyone on the deeper end of the spectrum and/or with any natural tint to their lips as Honey won't show up.

There are things I really like about this: the smell is a yummy lemony smell (normally I hate any scent in makeup but somehow this works), the texture is very soft and moisturizing, the packaging is excellent with the screw on tube cover so it doesn't open in my bag. But there are a few things I'm not wild about and probably would not buy again. The color Honey is not quite right for me - a little bit too terra cotta. I find I have to layer a lipstick over it to get a good color. Also I don't think it has any staying power at all -- I guess that is to be expected since it's more like a lip balm than lipstick. Even with those cons I would still like it enough to buy again but the price is just too high to justify.
I might try the same in a different color - if the color was better on me it would be a worthwhile splurge.

This is my fav high end lip balm, and fav tinted lip balm, period. Love that it comes in a tube so my dirty fingers don't have to dip into it. It smells great, a light lemony scent. Texture is really nice - glides on easily, on the softer side, definitely not waxy and occlusive. It stays on for a few hours at a time, definitely need to reapply after eating. The color is a MLBB pinky brown (NC30), and color payoff is better than the Fresh Sugar Rose balm (not nearly as pigmented as Passion though). I wear this product daily at work instead of lipstick, and it makes me look/feel pulled together.

When I first heard that Fresh was coming out with Honey I was extremely fascinated, I had to have it. Like the other Fresh lipbalms it has the screw on top to keep it from opening in your purse, it smells nice, and it feels like heaven going on your lips. I'm not sure how I feel about the color. Sometimes it looks muddy on me and it enhances my sometimes ruddy or red skin-tone. However, on days that I have on a little more concealer I like the way it looks- I look put together and natural. I do use it, but I don't find myself reaching for it in my makeup bag as much as I anticipated to. I can see this looking great on a lot of people. I want to love it, but I don't think this works well if you're like me and your skin has a lot of redness to it.

I really like this. I like the color, which is a warm brownish peach on me. I also like the way it stays on my lips. I also like how it feels on. The packaging is terrific. What I don't like??? How is melts and gets very soft if you put in your pocket which is where I put lots of my lip care products when I am out. It's Christmas Eve and I am at my brother's with my Mom and whole family getting ready for our Christmas picture. I go to put some of this on which had been in my back pocket...kid you not, but it breaks off on my lower lip and a big blob just stuck there until I pulled it off. Not pretty. I could see if I lived in a warm climate but I live in the midwest, it's cold here. So not sure if I will repurchase.

This is the most wearable color of all the tinted lip treatment in the collection. It is a nice warm nude lipcolor so it isn't one of those nude color that make you look dead. It is creamy and moisturising without being thick. It has a nice fruity lime smell. I just wish it isn't so expensive because I can get a nice tinted lip treatment from the drugstore for way cheaper. For example, the new revlon's lip butters are way cheaper and the quality is comparable.

Kind of expensive but well worth it to me. I love the feel, smell and color. It makes my lips smooth. It smells like heaven and the color brings out my eyes and looks like my natural lip color only vamped up.

Got this in the trio like the previous reviewer and was also un-impressed. this color is blah on me (looks muddy/rusty tan) and not worth the price whether in full or mini size. my fav sugars are the plum and rose and i have full sizes of both. will be returning this.

I would consider this a luxury purchase. Don't get me wrong, it's nice and all, but not amazing....Not $25.00 amazing. The color suits me well, but I can easily get it from other products cheaper. The flavor is pretty good- not great. I love the packaging- very pretty and makes me feel pampered when I use it. It's ok hydration, but I've had better. If someone gifted me this, I would be happy, but I wouldn't spend my own dough on it.

This is a perfect warmed up MLBB for my fairly pigmented lips (NW20). It glides on like silk and gives just a tiny hint of colour and shine, plus it moisturizes well. The colour can also be built up for a more dramatic look. I don't like that it only has a UVB sunscreen, as for this price I would expect the product to fully protect my lips. Overall the product itself is great - the only main issues I have are the packaging and the price. The packaging is very nice and heavy, but the product itself seems to be wobbling around at times, which makes me worry that it could break. The price is also very high for a lip balm, at least by my standards ($26 CAD). I will repurchase for now, but in the meantime will keep an eye on other lip balms to see if I can find a similar product for less.
EDIT (Feb 2012): This product irritates my lips after using it for awhile. I talked to one of the sales associates at Sephora and she said something similar happened to her. I will not be repurchasing this. I will use it up in the summer because it could be a good lipcolour for when I'm a bit darker, but that is all. Very disappointing for $26.

Holy holy grail, one of the few products I would hate to live without. I'm pale (second lightest neutral shade in most foundation brands) with dark hair and eyes; this is the most perfectly natural warm pink-beige lip color that not only looks flawless but is perfectly creamy and flawless. I love all the sugar shades so far, but this one is creamier and more opaque. I would say I'm in a makeup rut of mascara, concealed, bronzed, and this, except every morning as I'm pulling out of the driveway I notice how gorgeously warmed-up I look. This is a must-try if you're fair skinned and your lips tend to pull a bit blue.
