I got it at Ross for $3.99 and tried it out since I like the brand. I've used other products they have and worked out pretty good for me....anyway... I loved it!! It didn't dry out my skin afterward like most clay masks or masks for oily skin. It gave me a glow afterwards and my face looks really clean. I even put it on my hubby and he loved it too. I would definitely buy again.

this mask gets warm on your face, don't freak out
1) on my white, blemished skin: skin's softer & 2 days later pimple gone!
2) on my Asian bf's dry unblemished skin: no difference

The Yes to Tomatoes Skin-Clearing mask is actually a good buy, and I was pleasantly surprised by it. I have difficult skin. I don't have much faith in products so I tend to stick to basics. It actually does mildly clean the skin with fruit acid, and is also somewhat moisturizing (I find a lot of masks too drying). I don't know if it helps dramatically to heal breakouts, but it seems to help with keeping it down. Using acne products sometimes leaves my skin a little dull, and the surprising thing about it is that the mask actually brightens the skintone noticeably, which improves the overall tone and makes makeup look nicer. If I work out I use this after showering, and if I accidentally fall asleep without taking my makeup off, the next morning I use this for five minutes after washing my face. It seems to help balance my skin out after something irritates it (like sweat or sunscreen).

I was really hoping this would help me with my skin problems but unfortunately it did absolutely nothing. I saw no improvement in skin tone or texture. My pimples didn't get better either. I gave this product nearly half a year and still nothing. Really disappointed not buying again.

I have already bought this repeatedly and finally decided I need to share my love for this product. I use it ask a mask about once a week or so but throughout the rest of the week as a cleanser, I got the idea from another reviewer on here. It makes a great morning cleanser (it won't remove your makeup) because its creamy and doesn't strip, just makes it feel balanced and fresh. Before finding this u was having problems with acne and I definitely find that this has helped. I also love the scent of this, light and almost edible. The only con is that you only get 1.7 oz which, if you use it as often as I do, doesn't last long. I will definitely continue buying this gem, one of my essentials and def HG.

Been going through a heap of products in an attempt to combat some stubborn acne in the last month. I've been using Natio's Green Tea mask which has been very nice for calming redness and brightening my complexion but hasn't helped in the acne department. So thought I'd try this mask with the positive reviews here on MUA.
It comes in a tiny tub (48g) but you don't need much each time. It has a smooth and fairly runny consistency compared to most mud masks which tend to be on the thicker side. It's quite pricey, from memory Priceline sells this for $AUD24. I got this from beautybay.com for about $17 (plus they have free worldwide shipping)!
PROS:
- Formulated specifically for acne-prone, combination/oily skin
- 98% natural ingredients
- I've only just started using it but I've noticed that it seems to 'dissolve' small, exposed blackheads on my face
CONS:
- DO NOT use if your skin is SENSITIVE. I don't consider myself as having sensitive skin but this stuff does burn (not as much as say, salicylic acid soaked cleansing pads, but there is definitely a mild burning sensation)
- Leaves my face red after using it (it calms down after I use my Nature Republic Aloe gel)
- The smell isn't strong but I personally find it unpleasant. It reminds me a mix of playdough and cheap cosmetic fragrance.
- Does not wash off well with just water, I need to cleanse afterwards to completely remove everything
- Don't really like the packaging, I think given the consistency, it would have been better in a tube.
- The product is covered with a peel-back seal but I could not get it to come off easily as there was no tab to pull. I had to hack into it with a Stanley knife to peel it.
NOTE: I suggest you follow the instructions, don't leave it on for more than 5 mins. Also I think this mask is only appropriate for use once a week max, it's too harsh on the skin otherwise.
I haven't used it as an overnight spot treatment, but I will update again once I've used it for a bit longer and tried it out as a spot treatment.

I have been searching for the ultimate face mask for a long time. Everything I've tried either burns, or makes me skin try out, or leaves residue... this product is excellent! I actually keep it on overnight on my blemishes and 90% of the time they are nearly gone by morning.
Really cannot say enough good things about this product! I'm glad I tried it!

I'll admit, when I first read the name "Yes to Tomatoes" I was skeptical. My first thought, silly as it was, was "Ew, I don't want to smell like a tomato!" However, rest assured, it does not smell anything like tomatoes. It has a pleasant in my opinion smell, very clean. I have oily skin and am prone to blackheads more than acne, so I use a lot of scrubs and face masks in attempt to draw out oil and dirt. With one use, my mother in law complemented on how soft and glowy my skin looked. It leaves my skin soft, unlike some face masks that dry skin out. The packaging is nothing special, but what does one expect? It's face cream. It is a little expensive for a drug store brand, however overall it's not bad, around $15. While I intend to buy more in the future, it will most likely be only until I can find a face mask a little more powerful. This is nothing against the product, I simply have more problematic skin than most.

Love the little tub, goes on smoothly and my face feels so rejuvenated after using this. Is it a bit drying but a good moisturizer should do the job. Also, I'd recommend using it 2-3 times a week.

For the price, I expected a better quality mask. This did not do anything beneficial at all for my skin. Not impressed with this line.

I have sensitive acne-prone skin that is oily on the t-zone area and dry on my cheeks. This mask is incredible - unlike many similar mud masks, this one does not dry out my skin, nor does it leave it feeling tight and painful. And it actually works. Although most reviews have mentioned using this once per week, I've found that using it daily has helped clear my PMS breakout. I think I will use it once per week (if needed) for the rest of the month. I thin it out with some water and apply only to my t-zone (if I have any inflamed pimples on my cheeks, I spot treat with this) and leave it on for anywhere from 3-10 minutes. It has done wonders: my skin is left much brighter and the breakouts/pimple sizes are reduced. The smell is also very lovely - not chalky but a very soft, spicy floral. Would definitely recommend this!
Update: I've been using this daily for a couple of weeks now and it's quite a magnificent product. Here are my recommendations: spot treat on oily areas and any acne as a mask every other night. Otherwise, in the am or pm (sometimes I do both), mix a small amount of the mask with water and massage it onto your wet skin. Sometimes I use a skincare brush, sometimes I'll massage my favorite scrub in as well, but most of the time I'll just massage it in. This use (mixed with water) has given me the best results. Massage in, wash off, pat dry, and you're good to go! It leaves my skin quite glowy so I like using it allover. Another thing though - when I spot treat with this, it causes my pimples to come to a head. I definitely wouldn't do this if you want clearing overnight or a look of minimized acne.... this is the first time I've had whiteheads within an hour of using a mask. What a trip. Anyway, hope that helps! Will update again if anything changes. :)
Update 9/9/12: I no longer use my prescription for Clindamycin or pretty much any other skincare other than this (other than jojoba oil to remove my makeup). I almost can't believe how much this has helped me clear my skin. I still use it anywhere between 1-2 times a day and it has kept my acne at bay. Love this stuff.

Whenever I'm breaking out, I apply a thin layer of this mask for 5 mins every third night, using the Yes to Tomatoes spot treatment on the other nights until my skin has resolved. I prefer this to applying a thicker layer less frequently because it's harsher/drying and very difficult to wash off that way. This is a very potent mask with a paste like consistency. It tingles and burns but it's nothing unbearable, and to my surprise it doesn't leave my skin irritated after I wash it off. It definitely tightens pores and noticeably shrinks acne right away. It's a small, cheap-looking container for the price but the mask spreads very thinly and evenly over the face so you can get many uses out of one jar. It has a lovely floral scent that's not too strong but if you're sensitive to scents you may want to pass this up.

Let's start with the product description and what it promises: "Clear Skin Clearing Facial Mask is a total deep pore treatment that refines, purifies and even moisturizes your skin, while keeping your complexion clean, clear and balanced. Filled with potent anti-oxidants that fight free radicals, and bursting with powerful sebum (acne-causing oil) absorbers, you'll be tickled red with this tantalizing treat!"
This product claims to be a pore treatment and it is mainly advertised as being a pore solution. It didn't quite solve my pore problem and I barely see difference on the size and visibility of my pores. But still this is a really good product. It really cleans and purifies the skin. After using it my skin felt really clean. It is really powerful on balancing skin oil. My entire face is oily and my T zone is absurdly oily. This mask not only dried the sebum of my face but also left it moisturized. It's quite good for shine control and it really gave my face a matte looking for hours and hours. Oh, that's another good point of this product: The effect last a considerably good time. When I use it at night I wake up with the face less oily and shiny than regularly. And when I use it in the morning I know that my face will not have a shiny look, and this will last all day. I recommend using it 1 or 2 times a week.
The packaging looks a little cheap and I don't know how much it costes in the U.S. but here in Russia I paid like 30 dollars for it. I absolutely love the fragrance but it is strong so I don't think it would work with someone who is sensible to fragrance, which is not my case. It claims to be 99.6% natural and I think this is something really good. I think it's great that it's Petroleum, SLS & Paraben Free and I love that it has anti-oxidants.
As a pore solution it didn't work fine. For this purpose I use Laneíge Pore Minimizing Pack, which is an amazing korean 5 minutes mask that visibly reduces the size of my pores, even though it's just a immediate product since the effects doesn't last more than 24 hours (I use it everyday in the morning).
But as a cleansing, balancing, moisturizing and mattifying mask this is definitely great and I am totally gonna buy this again.

I've always had oily/acne prone skin. Lately, even on BCP, I've been breaking out into cystic acne and clogged pores. I used a pricey mask I currently have in my cabinet that didn't cut it. Then I bought a knock-off of the Mint Julep mask and that was better but didn't give me the results I was hoping for. I took a chance on this mask without high expectations. In just one application, my skin has completely transformed. It actually cleared out my pores like clay masks are supposed to (yet so many others fall short). And even the pores it didn't get, all I had to do was use an extractor and the dirt came out so effortlessly. I used a salicylic acid gel all over after using this. What I woke up to was MUCH clearer and smoother skin. I would buy this again in a heartbeat and cannot wait to continue to use this to experience even better results.

My new favorite mask! I actually like this more than my Queen Helene Mint Julep one!! I use it once a week, and when I wash it off my skin has a nice glow to it. I mostly like all the natural ingredients, and the fact that it comes in a cute tub. Normally I HATE any product that comes in a tub, but since I only use this once a week I don't find it as annoying. I just spoon some out onto a small plate and then apply directly to my face! I leave it on for like 15 minutes even though it says 5 on the box..I find that it really sucks the impurities out of my skin ESPECIALLY the oil!! If you keep it on for longer then 5 minutes I recommend applying a good moisturizer right after!

This stuff is great! After using it, my face instantly feels smoother and softer. I use it about 1-2 times a week. Digging it out of the tub is a little annoying, though. However, I think it's the only way it could be packaged. Probably too thick to work in a pump or tube.

What I love about this mask is that it gives me instant results. I have gotten compliments on my skin after using it. I have oily, acne prone skin and I wouldn't say that this does anything for blemishes as much as it just makes your skin feel nice and look glowing. I think it is good for preventing acne just by getting rid of the dead cells and everything.
This is for people with oily skin, so the reviewers who had a problems probably don't have skin that's very oily, or are just sensitive. Also you should not be using this more than two or three times a week, that's just common sense.

I got the "Total Treatment Facial Mask", which may or may not have the same ingredients as the Skin Clearing Facial Mask. I think this version is the previous incarnation of this product.
It works pretty well for my acne-prone, congested skin. It does not work complete miracles on all of my blemishes, but I see a difference if I don't use this at least once a week. It does not dry completely hard like your average clay mask, but contains quite a few skin conditioners that leave your skin fairly soft and clean once you rinse it off. I still think it deep cleans pretty well.
The downsides: It is pretty hard to apply an even coat of this; the best way I have found is to apply a thin coat and build up slowly from there, otherwise the results can be pretty patchy. I would also advise a patch test first. The first few times I used it, it irritated my cheek area and burned for several minutes after application. I have not had a problem since though. It is pretty highly scented, which may or may not appeal to some also. I find the scent pretty pleasant. I would buy it again.

Unfortunately, Target rarely stocks the Tomatoes (blemish) line, preferring to stock the anti-aging and sensitive skin lines instead. Most Yes to Tomatoes products must be bought online through their official website – which takes forever to ship. Anyway, the mask was nice but unmemorable. It smelled alright and felt fine, but I don’t recall anything special about it. Like many clay masks it dries in storage after some time. I would still recommend it though, since it didn't make me break out and it's a natural product that may work very well for others.
