Love, love, love this shade! I would even recommend this shade (formula) for someone who wants to try a red lipstick, but is hesitant. I have a double lipstick case (with mirror), and I always have the Monte Carlo shade as well as Bel-Ami. Yes, pricey, but I save for it. I hope Chanel keeps these two shades forever!

I have been using Chanel Coco Shine Monte Carlo for a year now, and love it! I tried various other sheers (Nars, Laura Mercier), and this one is by far the best. I bought a few lip gloss brands (Chanel, Laura Mercier, Chantecaille), but they either have poor lasting power or my hair sticks to them. I am also not a huge fan of non-gloss lipstick because some of them leave rings around my lips. So I tried Chanel Coco Shine.
I love this product!! Monte Carlo is perfect, it is red that can be used everyday without seeming too bright. It is very moisturizing, my hair doesn't stick to it, and looks good. It has relatively less staying power than a regular lipstick especially after eating, but I don't mind reapplying. I use it everyday for work and love it!! Much much better than a lip gloss. I am looking to buy this in another color but none comes close to MC.

Before i start , i must confess... i am a CHANEL-aholic! i love love love their illusion d ombres, and loose powder, but this... i'm half hearted. i love the packaging, it screams expensive and chic, but applying this 'lipstick' requires so much work. i have to layer over a sheer lip balm, before i can wear this. when i first used this, i thought i could wear it on its own but the color and finishing was so dry and awful :( after using a lip balm under it, it gives a sheer tint/sheen of bitten lips.. only get this if you are a BIG BIG CHANEL fan. lol

Don't think of it as a lipstick. Think of it as a tinted lip balm because this sheer "lipstick" is very moisturising that you don't need another lip balm. It isn't long lasting so if you think it as a lipstick, you'll be sadly disappointed but if you think of it as a tinted lip balm, you'll be happy about the pigmentation. Of course, it's Chanel so you're paying the price. But when you're slathering on this, you'd feel a million bucks (slight exaggeration...).
I love this colour, which is a strawberry pink. It's pigmented enough for me because I'm young and I don't like the look of lipsticks on me but I hate the feeling of sticky lip gloss against my lips. Also, my lips are quite pale so this shows up. For people with redder lips, it may not so this may not be the colour for you.
I'd consider buying it again, perhaps in a different colour but that won't be for a long time since I rarely wear makeup. When I do, I reach for this when I'm doing my lips.

NC25 Chinese.
I'm on a "beauty routine shakeup", and I've been loyal to pretty much only MAC lipsticks for 10yrs+. Living in the desert, I always carry lip balm and worry myself whenever I forget to carry it... the Chanel Rouge Coco Shine line is SO moisturizing, I do not think I will every have to worry being balm-less again.
Love this color, but more so, I love this line! This is going to be one heck of an expensive addiction at $32 per.

I really like the texture this product, and it is just they type of "lipstick" I look for. I'm always trying to find a lipstick that is dewy, silky and pigmented enough to bother. I have Monte Carlo and Fetiche, and I'd say Monte Carlo has a bit more pigmentation and staying power. The color is kind of a coral, but I think it's more towards the pink end of the coral scale. Overall, I'm very pleased, and I'm looking forward to trying the others.

Monte Carlo is the color of strawberry juice on a white linen shirt. It's the only color in the range that I find suitable and pigmented enough for my high contrast coloring (B20 skin, dark brown hair and green/brown eyes). It slips on like a silk negligee and delivers a juicy finish to my lips. Sadly, the staying power is pretty bad (not a surprise considering it's consistency) and it has a tendency to hang on to the chapped areas of my lip. Although it is beautiful and easy to apply this product does not fill in any void for me (as an in-between gloss/lipstick product). The color barely raises the bar from 3 to 4 lippies. Barely.

I expected Monte Carlo to be Red but it wasn´t. It´s a deep rose with a hint of coral but more in the range of pinks than reds. However, I think the colour it does suit every single skin tone and it´s very flattering.

I always wished to find a red lipstick to fit my pale complexion, which I could wear on daytime without looking like a clown. After (too) many failures I gave up and decided to stay with my safe pinks. Then I saw a review of Monte Carlo and immediately wanted to try it...what a lovely surprise! It's a great color - a shy, delicate strawberry red with a bit of shine, not too bright and not too show-off. Easy going in every occasion and for every outfit, even casual. On the lips is soft, creamy and has a remarkable staying power. I am not a fan of glosses and Rouge Coco Shine is perfect for me as it's lighter than a lipstick and more intense than a gloss. It has the same effect on my face as a blush. I will try this in other colors as it became my favorite lipstick - until I discovered Rouge Coco shine this "honor" was granted to my old-time favorite Estee Lauder Crystal Shine. Le roi est mort, vive le roi!

On the fence about Monte Carlo. It is a lovely color but on me there is little color. I grabbed it because it was the reddest of all the shades in the Rouge Coco Shine line. This will work better in the winter when the color can show more on me. I'm a sucker for sheer lippies but this one is just so so. I'm keeping it but will not buy it again, it's just not that outstanding. It's much prettier and more vibrant in the tube than on me. NW25.
**EDIT** Threw this out after finding the real red that I needed; that is sheer in Lancome's Red Chiffon. Nothing comares to RC

I gave this one a 4 because even though the color is a bit too much for me I hate to dissuade others from trying it. I have rather full lips and work in a more muted environment so full on bright lipstick doesn't really fit into my persona. That being said, I love the idea of wearing this color. It's a juicy, fairly pigmented, very slightly shimmery strawberry and the texture and feel of this on the lips is wonderful. I have other RCS lipsticks in more neutral colors that I love.

Add me as fan! definitely my favourite RCS of the four I have already tested and used (Boy, Liberté, Aventure beign the other3) .
>Mind you, they are all beautiful, they shine a ton, but MonteCarlo has that 'ommph' that the others lack.
This one is a lively, hot summer shade, but still manageable and not so in your face - you can wear it for all occasions, it's not a true "red".
As others have noted , it is a sort of strawberry red that goes on more pinker than red wiht blue undertones (looks coral red in the tube but goes on sheerer and lighter) with golden sparkles that, white not showing up as glitter - they lift up your face.
In addition, I got a more than decent 3 hours wear from this one (Boy and Liberté were off in little more than one hour) considering they're mid way between a gloss and a lippies.
I first contoured my lips with a cool toned rose pink (YSL Dessin des Lèvres in # 6) ...and Montecarlo was shining is its strawberry pink glory.
Indeed a glorious shade!

First there was Boy then there was Monte Carlo! I have a pale complexion and this colour is a kind of red with a slightly berry look to it. I just adore the texture, it's so sheer and lightweight but well pigmented in my opinion. I read reviews before I bought them on their lack of staying power, but this didn't surprise me or put me off as this sheer, balm like texture is going to wear off much more quickly than a regular lipstick. I found that Monte Carlo did leave a pretty stain behind on my lips even when the shine had worn off so my lips didn't look bare. I really, really like these lipsticks and if you go into your purchase well informed about the sheer, lightweight texture you will not be disappointed in fact only delighted.

I LOVE monte carlo....it's my first Rouge coco shine, and it looks great on. its not as heavy as a lipstick, and i have tan skin and blond hair, so this works well...it gives a nice beach-y glowy look that doesn't look too made up!
if you see it...BUY IT

This is a coral red. Works really well with pale skin. The texture is weightless, the shine is fabulous without any glitter. It wears off evenly, and stays on my lips for a good 2-3 hours. Re-applied for shine, the colour was still apparent. The lipstick does not accentuate the lines on my lips, they look smooth and youthful. Will buy many more of these lipsticks, they are truly unique.

I got this shade because, already noticing the hint of summer color I've got, knew this would be the perfect summer shade. Punchy, juicy...a splash of tropical berry on my lips. Feels great, sheer color and layers well. I'm curious to try a few other colors although many seemed too sheer for my complexion. YMMV. This product is a win for me and I will likely buy a backup soon.

I bought four colors from the Coco Shine collection and this is by far my favorite. It is a orange base lip color but shows up more strawberry on my lips. It is a perfect go to lip color when you don't wear lots of make up but want a hint of color to brighten up your complexion. The texture is sheer yet very moisturizing, and in my opinion it does last for a few hours without having to reapply. Marte Carlo is perfect a summer and I'd recommend this color to everyone!

I have been reading all the raves on beauty/makeup blogs about Chanel Rouge Coco Shine. Today I gave in, and went to my local Nordstrom. I tried 3 shades (on my lips) out of the whole line. To be honest, I really liked all 3, but I settled on Monte Carlo. The color is berry like on my lips - with maybe just a hint of mauve. Looks very fresh and definitely brighten up my complexion.
Texture wise, it is very light. Very moisturizing, too. Almost like a lipgloss in a stick form. The SA warned me that it is very addicting! :)
5 out of 5 for everything. And YES, (unfortunately) I will be buying more of this gem, at $32 a piece! (+ tax).
