I tried this as it came in a sample pack with some other benefit products. I like the consistency, and it did 'something' for the skin around my eyes but to be honest I think it just helps my concealer go on better! The bags do look a bit better but are still there, perhaps I was hoping for too much. Agree with the comments about the pot, a tube would be more hygienic. All in all I'm glad I haven't forked out for a big pot of it.

I normally love Benefit products, but I was very disappointed with this eye cream. I have very dark purple circles under my eyes and it did not make any difference (I used up the entire bottle, applying it morning and night). I also found that it wasn't hydrating enough and had to use a second cream, or my makeup would crease terribly. I also do not like when products come in jars like this because it's not as hygienic and with eyes you want to be extra cautious. All in all a waste of 30$

This is the only eye cream I've ever used that WORKS! My biggest problem is dark circles and they improve significantly with this product.

After Benefit discontinued EyeCon I switched to Origins Gin Zing eye cream having heard good things, but it was a disaster for me - despite the 'brightening' claims it made my bags look instantly worse and didn't improve over the day or even with 3 months' use. I recently switched back to Benefit (which I had been a bit reluctant to do because I wasn't sure whether the new It's Potent was the same formulation as the old EyeCon) and I've noticed a marked improvement almost instantly.

Yes it's expensive, but it's worth it for me. Don't have fine lines or dry skin yet thankfully so can't comment on those properties, but it works on dark circles and leaves my eye area feeling hydrated but not heavy with product.

I love Benefit's Triple Face Emulsion moisturizer, so I decided to try out their eye cream.
At first I was not impressed. It sunk in super fast and felt like I had never put anything on. I figured I would give it a trial run for a few weeks to see if I could make it work. Nope! I hate it. I look like I have aged 5 years by the end of each day.
I still have lots left, but I am totally going back to Clinique's Anti Gravity eye cream. I should know better than to leave something that has proven itself.

The pros are that this comes in a cute bottle, but that's about it. Like other commenters, it stung my eyes when I put it on, even if I applied it super carefully. I also noticed that after a couple weeks of constant use, it made my eyes really gunky and gross D: I'm sure that for some people this would work, but for me it was awful. It's a shame, because when the Benefit salesperson put this on me in the store, it did seem to brighten my eyes and diminish dark circles almost immediately. But for $32, it was an expensive mistake. I've never really considered returning a used product before, but if I did then this would be the first! If you're interested in it then I would recommend getting a few samples of it and trying it out for a little while to make sure it works for you.

I read a fair amount of reviews on this product and chose to be a hopeful optimist. I shouldn't have to be quite frank. I bought this cream because the skin around my eyes is very sensitive and dry and the Canadian winter isn't kind to it. I found the consistency of the cream to be watery which I do not care for. I applied it and felt little to no difference in how hydrated the skin felt. It sunk in quickly, and that's really the only good thing I can say about it. After little over two weeks of continued use my eyes are a flakey, dry mess. Not to mention I noticed zero reduction in dark circles. I don't care for the consistency, the feel of the formula on my skin and it's done more harm than good at this point. Not to mention the glass jar packaging, I prefer a pump or a tube with my eye cream, seems more sanitary. So unimpressed, pass this one up ladies.

I have 2 samples of this stuff and it is nice and creamy...smells nice but I just don't feel like it does much other than make my concealer under my eyes go one smoother. My HG eye cream is Philosophy Hope in a Tube and it just doesn't compare. I like my eye creams really thick and super hydrating and this one is just watery in comparison.

It is just too pricey for the product's performance. I love many of the other benefit moisturizers etc but this one just isn't my favorite. I will use what I have but I will not repurchase it.

It's a bit pricey but it does make the skin around my eyes brighter and clearer. I was actually thinking just today that this is the first eye cream I have ever used that does not burn my eyes.

I have a mini size of this eye cream and I am not a fan. It smells like acid to me and it stings my eyes quite a bit. I will definitely not be buying the full size product. The price point is really expensive as well

Can't BELIEVE the bad reviews on this product! It won't work miracles, what will?, but is an excellent eye cream. I do not agree that this is a "young" eye cream. I will say that this is a DAY eye cream that tightens and instantly brightens my 57 year-old under eye area beautifully! I LOVE it. It absorbs well and due to optical diffusers, provides a perfect finish for concealer which I put only in the dark circles. My eyes look bright and rested. I use a Retinol eye cream at night, but I couldn't be more pleased with this one for daytime, highly recommend!

Not sure what is up with all the hate on this product--I got it in my Birchbox this month and I love it! I think it is definitely for "younger" eyes--I have been seeing the beginning of some fine lines and bagginess under my eyes and this is definitely doing the trick. My eye area is much much brighter, smoother, and firmer. I am a glasses wearer so the difference is very noticeable to me.

Smells great, consistency is wonderful, and feels very soothing going on. Would reccomend to women in their late 20's looking to get started on an under-eye regimen.

I have mixed feelings about this eye cream. I am in my early 20s and I thought its about time to start using an eye cream. I didn't buy this to reduce wrinkles or fine lines, but for my age group is a good eye cream. It keeps them moisturized and is not to heavy/oily under the eye. Can be used day and night and under make up. I have slight darkness under my eyes and this does reduce, although you still need an eye concealer.

The packaging is really cute and it will probably last for a good 6 months, at this time I think I will buy again!

If I was buying a cream for wrinkles I wouldn't rate this one and go for something that is designed specifically for anti-ageing.

Benefit's It's Potent! Eye Cream is part of their relatively new B.right Radiant Skin Care line. Benefit calls this product a "brightening eye cream to fade dark circles". This is my first eye cream, I haven't felt the need to use one before, seeing as I'm only twenty but I guess its never too soon to start. Benefit warns that "your eyes can't keep a secret, they're the first to show signs of age and stress", but fear not, It's Potent! "fade dark circles and helps smooth fine lines for brighter, younger looking eyes. Contains a peptide complex known to help restore elasticity and firmness, a blend of botanical extracts including apple extract known to help boost collagen and loquat extract known to help protect the skin from free radical damage." Big claims, just like every eye cream makes. I got a very tiny jar in Benefit's Sexy Stowaways value kit. The full size jar sells for $32 for 14.2g (.5oz). My small jar contains just 3g (.1oz) which has a value of about $6.75. This eye cream was made in France. Benefit does not test on animals. Benefit products can be bought on the brand's website, department stores with Benefit counters, and Ulta and Sephora (as well as their respective websites).
My mini jar of It's Potent! is pretty cute, its like..American Girl doll sized. Packaging is pretty similar to the full size's. The jar is made of translucent aqua colored glass with the some textured bumps on the side. The jar is topped off by a beige screw on cap with the name of the product on top, along with the Benefit logo. The packaging has a very vintage look to it. A small amount of product info can be found on the bottom of the jar. Definitely liking the look of the packaging, though I prefer my skin care products to be in squeeze or pump tubes/bottles, mainly because I feel like I go through jarred products faster. The full size of It's Potent! comes in a box, and has a cork designed cap, but is pretty similar to the mini version.
It's Potent! is a beige, thick, creamy eye cream. This eye cream has a faint wine like scent. This eye cream feels very nice on the eyelid, it gives a bit of a cooling feel and sinks in quite quickly. I only need a little bit of It's Potent! for each eye. I've been using Benefit's eye cream for about two weeks, usually just a night, but sometimes during the day as well. I didn't expect much from It's Potent!, mainly because its poorly rated on Makeup Alley and I've read some pretty negative reviews of it on other blogs. My expectations were really low, so I was really surprised when I started seeing results in about three days. I have moderate dark circles and they're still there but they're diminished. I don't really have any significant wrinkles but I had a couple fine lines, nothing major. I feel like It's Potent! reduced them a bit, not a lot, no one else would probably notice but it's enough for me to see. I don't notice any new firmness, but my eyelids aren't loose at all. On top of the brightening effect and reduction of fine lines, Benefit's It's Potent! delivers just the right amount of moisture. Anything heavier would probably make my lids too oily, anything less wouldn't be enough.
I'm pretty pleased with Benefit's It's Potent! eye cream, it's better than I thought it would be. This eye cream improved the look of my under eye area. This eye cream gives adequate moisture and it fulfills most of it's claims. I doubt this skin care product would help someone with significant eye area aging or damage. I think Benefit's It's Potent is meant to maintain a youthful eye area as opposed to reversing aging. Though I enjoy the results I get from It's Potent!, I wouldn't purchase a full size jar because I still don't feel like I need an eye cream. When I do start to feel the need to use pone, I'd rather not pay over $30 for a little bit of product. That being said, if your eye area is in good shape and you want to maintain and slightly improve that, Benefit's It's Potent! is a good option if you have some extra cash.

WHY did I not save the receipt for this? It's a glorified eye cream that did nothing for my dark under-eye circles and morning puffiness. I'm almost done with it (no other choice since I can't return it now)... and all it's really helped me with is... moisturizing my eye area.

I'm going back to the Khiel's avocado eye cream that doesn't promise anything else other an moisture. It may not promise what this Benefit cream promised, but it sure moisturized my eyes a lot better.

Ive been in graduate school a year now and I have noticed that I am starting to get some major under-eye circles. This was not much of an issue for me, but all of the late nights studying and early mornings in the lab were catching up with me. I went to Ulta to get some more concealer but I came across this wonderful little product. Instead of concealing, why not try and get rid of them? The full sized product was a little too pricey for me since I did not know if it would work, but I did find a nice little kit of 7 beneFIT skincare samples for under $25. It included It's potent! so I picked that up instead.
I have been using it for around 2 weeks now (along with the other products in the kit) and I have noticed a dramatic difference. My eyes are brighter and less puffy in the morning. I love it!
The sample size was pretty generous. Should last at least a month... Once that's gone, I'll probably just get another sample kit. It was a really good deal.

Doesn't do anything it claims. Expensive waste of money.

The only eyecream I have ever used and have actually seen the difference in the morning.
I have permanent dark circles under my eyes that I find very hard to cover with concealer. I put this eye cream on before bed and in the morning, my bags are reduced significantly.

It is not a miracle product. It reduced my bags a lot but they were not completely gone!
