I've been using this product for more than a month as recommended and it has done Nothing for my pores. I do facials and microdermabrasion so there's not even an excuse that my face might to be "ready" . It is a total waste of money.

This was a good enough serum - my pores looked reduced on the days I used it. Now it is finished I can see that it was having an effect - skin looking a little tighter before, pores a little smaller. The effect wears off as soon as you stop using it but I wasn't expecting anything else. I'd buy it again, perhaps if there were some offers on or something. But I'd rather try a different product first. It didn't give me spots or anything like that.

WARNING - If you have acne run from this. Do not stop and try it - just speed past it. I have acne, but was not having any flare ups. I tried this along with the matching instant perfector and my acne flared badly. A week and 3 days later I am still having a major flare up of painful cyst style pimples. When I looked at the ingredients I found Dimethcone which explains a lot. Even though this does smooth the skin it is not worth the breakouts in the long term.

This is the first cosmetic review I've ever written in my life, and what has compelled me to submit it is that this is truly the most useless skincare product I've ever bought. After following the instructions religiously and using the entire dispenser, I can say that it has made precisely zero difference. While my pores are visible enough for me to conscious of them and to wish them away, they're hardly huge, so it's not like I'm in need of a biblical miracle to make them a bit less apparent. This serum did nothing for my skin, positive or negative - I'm hypersensitive and thus highly reactive but it would seem that this stuff has no active ingredients in it whatsoever and is just totally inert, so I didn't experience any issues; I just didn't experience anything at all! This stuff is quite dear - I paid £37 for it - which just rubs salt in the wound. I'd strongly urge everyone to avoid it.

I just went through my first bottle of this & have to say when I started I had large clogged visable pores & now they are flawless. I also used the instant perfector as well. I will be buying my second bottle now. And continue to keep on buying as long as I have a face.

I love this product! I have acne-prone super sensitive combination skin and had been using expensive skin products prescribed by my dermatologist which did absolutely nothing for me. I use this stuff at night after I was my skin and the next morning when I wake up I notice a big improvement with my skin-It is super soft and no more breakouts! Btw, before this Clinique had a pore minimizer cream which got discontinued (that was even better than this).

So, I've been on the hunt for the perfect facial care system. I'm 33 years old with oily prone Hispanic skin. I don't have any wrinkles (yet) but suffer from genetic undereye circles, large pores, and a never ending supply of blackheads on the chin and nose. What I need is a skin care line (and I'm willing to pay the price) that will minimize my pores for a more airbrushed look, get rid of the blackheads, and brighten my sometimes dull complexion. I went ahead and splurged on the 3-step system #4, Wash Away Gel Cleanser plus the Dark Spot Corrector and Pore Refining Solutions Correcting Serum (see my other reviews.) All in all, it set me back about $150.00. I decided to review each part of the system separately because some elements work better than others. The first step was to remove makeup with the Wash Away Gel Cleanser, then use the Liquid Facial soap, then the Clarifying Lotion, then the Dramatically Different Moisturizer, then the Dark Spot Corrector, then the Pore Refining Solutions. Holy cow, the number of steps in this routine is getting downright ridiculous. This review will be pretty short. For $40-$50 bucks for a small bottle, it doesn't really do anything. After a month's faithful use, day and night, it did not reduce the appearance of my pores. It worked fine under makeup, and may have even gave me a smoother canvas to work with, but that could have just been the moisturizer. It didn't break me out, it didn't smell like much, it seriously didn't do anything. When I stopped using it, I didn't notice a single bit of difference, so I returned it to Macy's. Don't waste your money, and for heaven's sake don't torture yourself with a 3-step system that turns into a 6 or 7 step system, just to clean your face.

I received a sample of this from Sephora. It was part of the 100 point perk so it was a generous enough sample for me to test drive. I used this almost daily and did not really see any benefit. I do have oily/clog prone skin and this did not break me out though. It was not terrible and even left the skin a little smoother but it's nothing I'd run out and buy.

I'm incredibly disappointed with this product, which typically isn't the case at all when it comes to Clinique. I've been using it twice a day every day for almost a year now, and it hasn't had any long term effect on the size or appearance of my pores whatsoever. It does make my pores appear smoother and smaller right after applying, and it does look nice underneath make up, but that isn't what this product is marketed to do. Clinique has a Pore Refining Solutions Instant Perfector for that, and it works wonders. It's also cheaper. A 1 oz. tube of the correcting serum can run you anywhere from $36 to $43, depending on where you buy it. I will say that it does last a long time, though; I've had my tube for almost a year and use it daily, and I have yet to run out. Still, it's not at all worth it for a product that doesn't do what it's supposed to, right? It's very, very slick and could cause some oil problems for those of you with very oily skin. The smell isn't that bad at all, either. It has a very light and clean smell, similar to that of Clinique's facial cleansers. But honestly, I wouldn't recommend this to anyone looking for a good, long term pore minimizer. It just doesn't work, and it's not at all worth the high price.

I am always skeptical about pore refining products because I never tried an effective one... until now. This product truly does make a significant and immediate difference. Immediately after applying I notice my pores appear smaller and my skin looks smoother. My makeup looks better and seems to stay fresher longer as I'm not getting as oily. I love seeing the effects after night application, too. When I get up in the morning I'm not as shiny and my skin is noticably smoother. I'm not sure if it makes a long-term difference yet as I've only used it a couple weeks or so, but even the daily benefits I've already seen make it worth it for me.

First, about me, I have noticibly larger pores around my nose, on my nose, and a little bit on my forehead right between my brows. I have an oily T-zone, but especially oily in the areas where I have larger pores. I started using both the Pore Refining Solutions correctin serum, and the Instant porfector at the same time. Now, this should be common knowledge, you can't make your pore size physically smaller...no matter what anybody from any comsmetic line tries to sell you, it just can't happen without changing your DNA. I went in knowing this common knowledge, and even the smart SA at Clinique told me that you can't change the size of your pore, but you can make appear smaller by keeping them clean, and then strengthening the structure of the pore wall...and that's exactly what the correcting serum does. It cleans out the pores and keeps them clean, while strengthening the pore structure...makeing them APPEAR smaller. So A+ there, pair the serum with the instant porfecter, and you have magic.

Not sure this does anything about making pores look smaller -- either in the short term or the long term. I bought this quite awhile ago, used it for awhile, but quickly changed to something else.
Recently started using it again and what I have noticed is that this dramatically cuts down on the oiliness of my face over the course of the day. Usually I'm looking greasy within a few hours of putting on makeup. I put on makeup almost 12 hours ago and my forehead is only the slightest bit shiny.
I'll be putting this back in the rotation, though I may occasionally use another primer on top of it (though I assume that will make this product less effective).

Well, this product is good at preventing break outs for me. I've noticed slightly smaller pores as well when I've applied it. But I haven't used it without fail everyday, so I can't tell about long term results. However because my skin looks much better after using it, I would buy it again.

Well this stuff is just really lame. It feels icky on my skin and makes me break out so double lame. Also, it's expensive. I saw no results when it came to pore size and am pretty sure it made my blackheads worse. No, I will not buy this product again nor will I recommend it. :/

I used to love the old version of this (the pore minimizing lotion) and was really disappointed with this I just didn't see any better results with this than the old version (which is ridiculous when you consider the old one was £14 and the new serum is £36.50) I've been through 3 tubes of this so I've definately given it a more than fair chance to prove itself! I've since tried both estee lauder idealist serum and lancome visionnaire and have seen better results with both!

I didn't think to take before and after with this product, but just from looking in the mirror, my pores have definitely shrunk after a few months of use. However, like other reviewers have said, it is a bit on the expensive side so I'll have to look at my options before buying it again. It works better than the Clinique's Pore Corrector as that's more like makeup and fills the pores only when you use it. I have big pores but relatively clear skin. I was so excited to buy this product because it had such great reviews on Sephora. I tried it out consistently for three weeks. At first, I loved the smoothing effect it gave me, but then I realized the temporary nature of this smoothing. It did not minimize my pores, AT ALL. It barely gave me the appearance of smaller pores, and any appearance it did give, was very temporarily. After a few hours, my skin just looked dirty/greasy. Waste of money...

This serum claims to reduce the appearance of pores over time, which was enough to lure me in as I have a lot of big visible pores and I'd do anything to get rid of them. I wasn't expecting miracles as I know there's not really a whole lot you can do about visible pores other than conceal them, but I was willing to give this a shot. I've been using it pretty much every morning and night for about three months and I have to say I don't think my pores look much different. Perhaps slightly less visible, but no real difference.
However, it isn't all bad. The first thing I noticed was how soft and silky this serum made my skin feel. I'd never really used any kind of serum before so the difference was huge. And it has made my skin so much smoother! Clearly it's doing something to unclog pores as I used to have a lot of raised bumps on my skin and they are now gone. So while I had to dock some points because of it not really doing what it claims to do, it still gets a respectable three lippies because it has done a lot to improve my skin in other ways.

End Result: Didn't work!!!!
It claims that it will reduce that pore size within 2 weeks and within a month you would see a noticeable differences. I have been using it for a month now, both day and night. I still yet to see a tiny differences. Not even a little bit. My pores are just as large as they were. It did nothing, not worth the money at all. But have to say, the packaging is good and I am just glad it didn't broke me out. However, it didn't do what it claims. Didn't come close, therefore will not repurchase.

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE...did I mention I loved this product? I am one of those fortunate people that suffer from HUGE open pores on my nose and cheeks. This has been a huge problem for me for years and has made me so self conscience to even look at my own husband in the face. I exhausted all my options and had scheduled a consult appointment for microdermabrasion when someone had suggested this product along with the Clinique Pore Instant Perfector. It took a few days for me to notice a difference and it would prove to me it was working when I went to work. I have horrible lighting at work and my pores seem to be their biggest.
This serum truly works!! I can't describe to you the size of these monsters. I wish I would have taken a before/after shot. I've only been using it a few days and they claim it will take a few weeks to notice the full effect. I can't wait to see what I look like in 2 weeks! I'm also using the 3 step skin care system through Clinique (#4 oily) and my skin has a wonderful glow now.
Clinique you've saved my life!!! PLEASE TRY THIS PRODUCT!
