This primer is so lightweight. It leaves my skin feeling very soft and smooth. It has definitely helped my makeup last longer and actually stay on my face. At retail, it is quite expensive. However, I purchase mine on eBay and never pay over $10 including shipping. I will continue to use this product.

I bought this prior to knowing much about primers, and this was the first foundation primer I bought. I used it for about a year. I have dry skin, and with repeated use, my skin became dryer, and I felt like my pores became more visible. It did hold onto my makeup for day-to-day use, but was not the best for going out, or hot days. I'm not an oily skin person and rarely does my t-zone look oily, but when I use this primer, I noticed that at about 4-6 hours, I start looking oily - def not a look I'm going for! I do think the price is not bad compared to Lorac, MAC and Benefit, but I will not be buying this again. I feel like for a product I use every day, it is not worth saving the money.

I don't know if the consultant gave me an out of date product or what!!!
First of all, it felt heavy and greasy over my already oily skin. Second, it smells of rotten eggs... Like it has an inmense amount of petroleum... I just can't describe the smell... Like a corn starchy goo...
It made me nauseous.
Thirdly and most importantly, it did not help my make up last any longer than usual, actually, it was all ruined faster than usual.
Bottom line, this does not work AT ALL! Total rip off for how much it costs... Mary Kay products tend to be expensive but this one is a total joke!
I'm assuming this was sold to me expired or something because there can't be a product as awful as this in the market being sold to women...

I have found this works very well with the TimeWise Luminous Foundation. They are the same base so it works very well. I feel my foundation lasts longer and looks better when I use this. I also have worn this alone because it makes my skin look great. For those having trouble make sure your using a primer that has the same base as your foundation. Normally you'll find the base in the first five ingredients.

I actually really like this primer! And was surprised since I luv'd my Korres primer. My daughter had a classmate, whose mom sold MK so she asked if I'd like to purchase some things. Plus she was having a sell;) which helped with the price. It's a nice gel texture & I think you can tell once its applied, looks nice. I use my msfn, fix+ & it seems to work. So I'll be getting other one.

Umm..this primer is alright. My skin is reallyy oily and it worked well for me. I'll put it on in the morning and my foundation will last pretty much the entire day. I still need to blot at least once a day but I don't think this product guarentees no oily skin. The only reason I will not repurchase is because the price is a little much and I don't believe this primer is worth the payment amount. I can find face primer that works just as well (or even better) for a cheaper price at the drugstore.

this is the only primer i have ever used so i don't have anything to compare it to, but it feels good and doesn't seem to give me any skin problems. it creates a smooth canvas for makeup application. at $30 it's stupidly expensive though, but so is most makeup in australia. i suppose it's cheaper overseas.

This is the first and only makeup primer I have tried - so I have to give it 5 lippies because it works well for me and I have nothing else to compare it to. My skin is on the oily side esp around the TZone. It looks like it would intensify this but it does not. My foundation lasts longer when I have this on. Also has SPF 15 which is a plus.

I bought this product because of my oily tzone. I had high hopes but this didn't work for me because my tzone ended up being shinier than usual. I applied this after my moisturiser had dried and I also allowed this to dry but it let me down . I will not buy again.

Pretty expensive for primer that didn't work for me. I like Mary Kay products in general and had high hopes that it would help my makeup stay on longer. But it didn't seem to make a difference. I tried it after my sunscreen, without sunscreen, on half of my face, mixed with a BB, mixed with my blush.... nothing. I don't use Mary Kay Foundation bc they don't have my color, maybe it works better with that???? I didn't break out and I liked the velvety feeling it gave my skin. It does have a petroleum-ish smell.

I love how soft it makes my skin and I enjoy the sweet smell. Feels great and moistuzing on my skin. It makes my foundation look better but not tremendously better, so I don't wear it everyday.

Did this cause anyone to experience clogged pores? like little whitish dots when skin is pulled tight?

I don't have break outs very often, and my skin is on the dry side. But I bought this primer, used it once....and had a terrible breakout. Also, I didn't like the way if felt on my face, it was heavy.

This is the first primer I ever used and I'm not satisfied with it. It leaves my face blotchy after applying foundation. Maybe it's a matter of technique but it's not for me since I'm a make-up noob. Feels heavy on the face as well.

I do love this stuff! It makes my skin smooth and feels nice. I've never really tested if it helps my makeup stay on longer or not though, and for 16 dollars its a bit pricey for a cheepy like me. Nevertheless, I do recommend.

I decided to try this foundation primer just to try a reasonably priced primer. I think it does ok. No issues like breakouts or anything. Easy to apply. Great for oily skin. I actually use a Mac foundation over the primer.. It just matches my skin better. The price of this primer is great but I still prefer the smashbox photo finish light best.

Pros:

- My skin feels very smooth after applying it.

- Helps the foundation to last longer (when used with Mary Kay products).

- Allows for a flawless finish (when used with Mary Kay products).

- Evaporates very quickly so there is no wait for it to absorb before applying foundation.

Cons:

- Does not work as well when combined with foundations from other brands. I found it made no difference to the performance of my regular foundation.

- Since the product evaporates so quickly, and the product is translucent like gelatin, it is very difficult to know whether or not the product has been evenly applied.

- Caused me to break out after about a week of use.

I purchased this primer on a whim from eBay and I'm truly impressed on how well this preforms. Before purchasing this primer I was alternating between Hard Candy Sheer Envy Primer and MAC Matte. Both I really enjoy, but as usual when the weather warms up my make-up tends to not last as long as it does during the fall/winter. Since switching to this primer I have definitely noticed a remarkable difference on how well and longer my make-up looks, especially on my oily t-zone. This primer feels very light and blends easily onto my skin. Dries quickly to a matte finish and doesn't interfere with my liquid foundation application. Definitely enjoying this item and if I continues to preform well as the summer months progress I would repurchase it.
