OK, so I've been beavering away to get my 20 reviews just so I can review this and other products. I found this company on the Skin Deep database--everything they make is considered very safe. They use ingredients from the Amazon rainforest. All fair trade and organic, and they are ensuring that local people can earn a living by NOT cutting down trees. How great is that? They have great customer service--I ordered a sample of the Spots Lightening Oil, but something happened with the online order and I wasn't charged shipping, so they emailed me to clear that up, and to reward me for my understanding they told me I could get another sample free, so I chose the Heni Anti-Aging Balm. I LOVE IT!

The ingredients list: Wild Harvested/Organic Unrefined butter/oil of Cupuaçu (Theobroma grandiflorum), Andiroba(Carapa guianensis), Buriti(Mauritia flexuosa), Pracaxi(Pentaclethra Filamentosa), Essential oils of Lavender(Lavandula angustifolia), Lime(Citrus aurantifolia), Geranium Rose(Pelargonium capitatum) and Geranium Bourbon(Pelargonium graveolens).

It has an amazing, citrusy scent. It's sort of expensive in the full size (US$38.95) but you only need to use a little bit at a time, and you wake up with a smooth and dewy face. I've been trying out lots of home treatments, so I can't say definitively that Heni has made THE difference, but it's just a lovely product and the company has such good values and products it deserves to be better known. The Spots Lightening Oil is awfully nice too, and most importantly it does not contain hydroquinone or any other nasty, carcinogenic ingredient.

The website for orders is (weirdly) not at AmazonDrops but at gemzon.com. It's slightly maddening to navigate, and their print catalogue unaccountably does not list ingredients or prices. So, as a shopping experience it is still a little rough around the edges, but I love my Heni balm and will order the full size, together with some of their fabulous looking lip balms and maybe a cleansing bar or two. If you want to do some good while getting beautiful, I seriously recommend them!!
