This is a great mascara. I've used Dior, Lancome, YSL, L'oreal, Max Factor, Givenchy, etc. and this is on par with the best. I thought it was a tubing mascara, so was a little surprised that it seems like just a normal mascara, but I love it anyway. It's dramatic and thickens and lengthens and holds a curl really well. It's also very quick - I only need 2 or 3 coats for a really dramatic look, which usually takes several coats with other mascaras. I haven't had any problems with clumping and although after a long day there is slight flaking, it's so minimal that it's not a problem. The only gripe I have about it is it's no easier to wash off than any other mascara. It's supposed to slip off without rubbing but I really need to work water and cleanser into my lashes to get it off and then it takes several rinses. So, except for it not being as easy to wash off as it's meant to be, I really like it and will buy again.

I think this might be my HG mascara. Application takes a bit getting used to since the formula is a bit more wet and thick but 2 coats of this mascara makes my sparse Asian lashes thick and full. The mascara also holds curl, is not harsh on my sensitive eyes, and smudge free. This was sold to me at sephora as being a tubing mascara but it is hard to remove with just soap and water.

I picked this up, since i only use tube mascaras and was desperate when Stila Convertible Lash was discontinued. Yes, it lasts and washes off easily, but it clumps like crazy. It also stings a bit. No thanks!

I have oily monolids, so even those mascaras claiming to be waterproof will give me raccoon eyes. I was excited to try Volume Lash, since it's the same company that makes Fiberwig, which is one of the few mascaras I've tried that did not smudge. Sadly, by the end of the day, Volume Lash not only smudged but also left a wide swath of flakes all over my undereye area. I noticed some flaking with Fiberwig, but Volume Lash took flaking to a whole new level! And the flakes were hard to remove without also removing my undereye concealer. So it was either deal with darkness from flakes or darkness from my circles! Application was a bit clumpy as well, even when I scraped the excess off the brush and applied thin coats. On the plus side, it was easy to remove with warm water. I've read a lot of good reviews of this mascara, but it just did not work for me.

As someone who has tried every single mascara on the market and who places a huge importance on mascara performance alone (due to the fact that's the only eye makeup I use), I must admit this is very close to the HG status for me. It is definitely one of the best mascaras I have tried. I have been using it now for 1 month, and I purposely waited this long to be able to thoroughly review.
PROs:
-Deep glossy black
-Volumizes like crazy in one coat, total fakes in 2 coats (at least on me). With all other mascaras I have to layer 3 coats to get the volume that I get in 1-2 coats with this one.
-No clumping - I always use a comb after each mascara, but I don't have to with this one
-Wipes off dry with no effort (good if you like me tend to accidentally paint your lids as well as eyelashes :-))
-Washes off easily with water + soap
-Does not gunk/dry up quickly in the tube - I have had the tube for one month, same consistency as when I bought it - yet it is not runny/watery either.
CON:
-Really only one I can notice so far and fairly minor... Towards the end of the day, it tends to flake a bit. But, I also tend to have mascara on for 12 hours and I am very active (including strenuous yoga classes).
Not sure how long the tube will last, but I expect at least 2 months based on usage so far. Price is not bad, definitely cheaper than overpriced and overhyped CD mascaras, which although may have been good in the beginning when they launched, now have seriously deteriorated in quality.
