This is the best moisture product i have used.
I use it once a week, after a shower. I immediately soothes my red cheeks and give an overall moist and softness.

The only thing i am not sure of is, it sometimes make me break-out. The next day of using the mask, i see some red pimples on my face which are usually dissappear in two days. Maybe they are because of some other product, not sure about it.

This is my all time favorite hydrating mask that has never fail me. My skin gets really sensitive whenever the season changes and this is the only product that works for me, it really hydrates and stabilizes my skin. Whenever my skin is acting up, I'll just use this all over my face (even around my eyes) and leave it on for as long as possible. I'll only tissue off any excess before I go to bed and I usually wake up with normal skin

I usually have very oily congested spotty skin and never in a million years would I have thought I'd be writing a 5 star review for this!!. The reason being I used a 30 day murad acne kit and 3 days later ended up in hospital with what they say we're chemical burns and my eyes were badly swollen. After my treatment my skin became extremely dry and still I do not get any oil or shine(though I'd give anything to have that skin back!). I was recommended the Avene range for sensitive dry skin and the whole range has really helped with no irritations at all. This mask Is my favourite I use it twice a week but for me there is no need to rinse because my skin drinks it in in seconds that's how dry it is!. It makes my face feel so much more comfortable and I don't wake up with tight flaking skin, it has been a few weeks now and although very dry the texture has improved massively which has given me a bit of confidence back. I am not going to write a horrible review for the murad because I was a very rare case of what can happen and I no it works wonders for most all I can say is please patch test I didn't really have any sensitivities to anything until using murad. And this was all I was using.

I love this moisturizer. It's rich and super moisturizing without feeling greasy or heavy. It's only lightly scented, and feels gentle on my skin (though my skin isn't usually sensitive). Call me crazy, but I actually leave it on, I don't bother washing or wiping it off. But I only use a little bit, so it mostly absorbs. Even though I leave it on, it doesn't feel heavy or greasy. I definitely woudn't use it in the summer though, it's too rich for that. I only have a sample, but I would totally purchase the full size for winter.

I purchased this during the winter when my skin was extra dry thinking maybe it would be a good boost of moisture. Despite the directions saying to just tissue off I gently wipe with a damp wash cloth after as well otherwise my skin felt too greasy. This definitely helped sooth my skin and reduced redness while also providing moisture but a little too much moisture. Every morning after I used it I would wake up with a small pimple or two which I don't usually get. It was worth a try and I'll use the tube up but won't repurchase.

So, I'm basically one of those unfortunate individuals with really REALLY dry skin, and with eczema, that can only watch others play around with fancy schmancy facial masks and various exciting products, because if I did that, I would not only experience slightly discomfort - my skin would go into total meltdown. But since Avene had a soothing moisture mask specifically aimed at sensitive skintypes, I gave it a go. And I'm glad I did. It does everything it says on the package; it sooths, it provides moisture and the best part is that you can either wash it off if you want, but you can also safely wipe excess off with a pad and leave it at that. I love it, and I can fell it really hydrates my skin, which it desperately needs. Mild and sensitive even for me, and for that reason I would highly recommend it to others. My only bad comment would be the price, and the ammount of product you actually get for it. After all, you do need quite a bit to cover all your face in a nice semi-thick layer of soothing delisciousness - which my skin loves :) I will definately repurchase once I'm out!

I got this as a GWP full size no less and finally, after a round of trying to find a new moisturizer and turning bright red and burning up, I found this on my counter and said, oooo I need to try it. And I did - wore it in the sun all day as a moisturizer under my Avene SPF50 sunscreen and let me tell you, it completely calmed my skin and my skin has not yet started to hurt again and it's been 12 hours. This is a good sign - no burn, itch, redness and I am still moisturized. I do love Avene. Hard to get here in Texas, while in Canada I can get it anywhere - but I can order it online and I think I will stick to Avene for my day skin care regime.

This mask feels more like lotion than a mask and it starts to evaporate if you leave it on for a long time but it is soothing. I use it when my face starts to get irritated and red and it helps calm the skin. I find I have to use a lot in order to really cover my face so you don't get your money's worth in my opinion but I would still buy it again because I need something to soothe my sensitive skin when it gets irritated.

Like someone else said, I have to have this on hand. I have moved thru my Dermalogica phase and am now back to Avene. I have tried many of their products, and what prompted me was my totally dried out, wrecked complexion But specifically, the Soothing Moisture Mask was the hero. I thought it would make me break out due to the mineral oil (second ingredient) but...no, surprisingly! I have to be careful with this tho, I am sure using it too often will clog my pores. I will buy again, for sure =j

This is one of my always-have-to-have-on-hand products. I have sensitive combination skin which is randomly reactive to various cosmetics. This is wonderful to calm my skin down when it does react, it helps it cool down and return to it's normal colour if it's gone bright red! It feels very cooling and soothing. It has lovely moisturising properties but I don't find this an issue with my sometimes oily skin. Feels lovely and is one of my hero products - a real beauty saviour!

This has helped my problematic skin a lot (oily-yet dehydrated-acne prone skin). It has moisturizing properties, so i stopped peeling due winter time. Also it calms and helps with redness. No breakouts and leaves skin amazingly soft during days.

Yikes, my skin reacted really badly to this product and flared up bright red! Not sure what is in it that my skin doesnt like as I dont normally have many problems with Avene (although my skin hated the recovery cream as well). Shame!

This product saved my skin last winter when my skin was parched and nothing else was working. Despite the potentially comedogenic ingredients in this product, I experienced no breakouts. I think what sets this product apart from other moisture masks is the fact that you don't rinse it off afterwards but spray some thermal water on instead. It really helps add and retain moisture to your face. I always woke up with soft and supple skin in the morning after using this at night as the last step to my skincare routine. It is a bit pricey for $30+ CAD but since it's only meant to be used occasionally, one bottle lasts a long time and for the results I've gotten, it's definitely worth the price.

Wonderful mask for my dehydrated skin. Since I am just turning 40 I thought I needed aging products for the few lines on my face but after taking the quiz on Vichy it told me my skin was dehydrated and I didn't need aging products but hydrating products. I am glad I took the quiz, it got me to try this mask (I know it isn't a Vichy brand) and the results are great. I have smooth, well hydrated, healthy looking skin and I noticed the skin under my eyes was much smoother and looked so much better! I will be buying more of this mask.
