I LOVE this shade. This is definitely a must-buy for those who love neutrals (taupes especially). Pearl 402 is a brown-taupe that is veers slightly on the warm side. I usually run into taupes that are too plummy, but not with this one. It suits my NC30 skin and dark brown eyes really nicely & I can see it flattering many other types of coloring as well! I originally thought this would be a dupe of UD YDK. Upon swatching, it's closer to UD Stray Dog.

If you had to choose only one shadow from the whole Inglot store, this would be it. It's a medium neutral taupe with pearl finish that looks oh-so-gorgeous on any eyeshape, color and for any age. The formulations of Inglot Pearl shadows are lovely and this one is just a true gem. I recommend this to absolutely everyone who is remotely interested in Inglot products because it is their best color IMO. I definitely agree with the reviewer who said that this is a great alternative to Satin Taupe from Mac because it does have less cool tones in it. This is a great staple for me and can be a dupe for the left bottom shade in the Dior Iridescent Quint in Rosy Tan.

This is one of my first Inglot shadows and I LOVE this color! It is reminiscent of MAC's Satin Taupe. I bought Satin Taupe because I saw it used in tutorials by many makeup artists and it looked great swatched; however, it does nothing for my light-medium yellow toned skin. It just seems to wash me out... maybe because my eye area is a little darker than the rest of my face. I think it is more suited for fair or dark-skinned girls. Anyway, I swatched Inglot 402 and it really reminded me of Satin Taupe, but it has more warm, almost pinky undertones and I could just tell it would be a great alternative to Satin Taupe for me - and it is!! Inglot also makes a lot of medium-dark shimmery taupe shades that coordinate great with this shade. On its own, this shade looks very natural and I think it will be my new go-to shade for everyday as well as a new favorite shade for the lid on more dramatic smokey eye looks. I am so glad Inglot is now available at Macy's Union Square in San Francisco so I was finally able to get these eyeshadows! They seem to have the full selection of products at this location - nail polish, eyes, lips, face, etc.

I don't think I will every buy another brand. MAC's pan eyeshadows are $11... I don't own many, only 8 or so, and I remember just feeling awful for spending about $90 on a handful of eyeshadows! Inglot is even better quality than Mac I would say, at only $5 per shadow... that is even cheaper than most drugstore brands, and you get almost twice as much product (Inglot shadows I got were labeled 2.5 or 2.7 grams, compared to Mac's 1.5 grams.)

I also LOVE the design of the palettes and the fact that you can stack multiple palettes on top of each other making use of the magnets on the lid. It is a little hard to get the shadow out once it's placed in the palette because the magnets are strong. I recommend getting a heavy duty 2-inch magnet from the hardware store... this will let you get the shadows out very easily (there is a Youtube video on this).

Can't wait to get more shades as some that I wanted were sold out. Overall A+ for Inglot and, in particular, this shade! I can't believe the palettes used to be even cheaper when they subtracted the cost of the palette -- still an unbelievable deal at the current prices.

Beautiful light/medium brown. Reminds me of MAC Era or Urban Decay Suspect. Lightly frosty, and very wearable.

A+ Shade!

Age: 18 & Under   Skin: Combination, Fair-Medium, Warm   Hair: Brown, Wavy, Medium   Eyes: Brown

this shadow is buttery smooth. the texture reminds me of MAC's starflash eyeshadows. all of inglot's eyeshadows have great pigmentation. 402 Pearl reminds me of MAC's satin taupe but with a little more brown. this is great for a soft smoky eye.
**an inglot sales associate told me that they are discontinuing their circle eyeshadow pans for their freedom system (they will only have the larger squares) so if you want the circle pans you will have to check their stores to see if you can get what is left in stock.

Like this color so much! It appears much more lighter compare to the pan. The texture is so smooth and satin-like appearance when applied to the eyelid. I always use this as a transition color (put in the middle of eyelid). It gives the transition beautifully when matching with earth-tone colors eyeshadow. Besides of the color payoff, it stays all day long even without eye primer. No smudge, no transfer and even crease on my eyelid. Overall, recommend for those into natural/nude/earth-tone gals!

402 is a pretty pearly medium toned warm brown. It is richly pigmented and wears very, very well. Inglot shadows are very high-quality. I have mine in the Freedom System palette, so the packaging and the price are very good IMHO.

Nice shiny light brown which goes well with 423P, or pinks or skin tones.

A Light Brown Pearl shadow with a Rose Gold Sheen (Neutral Cool) that has a finely milled texture, not powdery at all and packs on nicely with a flat shader brush. I found that Inglot shadows work best when patted on, oppose to brushing on. They go where you put them and then will blend out or blend with another color with ease. When using a Crease brush with the shadows, I found you have to dab the shade were you want it and then blend out. Again placement, then blend.

It's an opaque shimmer with a pearly sheen, a glow within shimmer. Nothing over the top or too metallic. Texture is like a MAC Veluxe Pearl or a Urban Decay Deluxe.

TIP: These are next to impossible to remove from the palette, but if use one of the corner magnetics from the lid and slide it along the palette flat to catch the edge of the pan you would like to remove, out it comes. It takes some practice but take your time and you'll be rearranging your palette in no time. **My 10-Pan Palette is deep set and this didn't work, 20 and 2 pan palettes works fine.**
