alright i was too mean the first time reviewing this. So i told my bestie about this and she said some factors that it could be my fault and not the product.
So what was wrong was of me using neutrogena toner ans then this gave whiteheads but when i sont use any toner or use the calendula toner, blemishes are gone in 2 days (depending on how dark and big the post acne mark is) and i think my skin just had to get used to it



I kinda expected this to work and It supposed to clear blemishes and scars but no it doesnt for me, instead it gave me more little bumps :(
I also hate how much it comes out even when i try to squeeze it slowly :s
Price is more than the blue spot treatment that does more than this. Not worth it for me :(

I went to Kiehl's about a week ago hoping to purchase this product after reading so many rave reviews about its effectiveness.

I wasn't so sure at first to get this product or not because I wanted to get rid of blemishes instead of acne. But the staff at Kiehl's was really polite & helpful with helping me select the product for my concerns.

She recommended their new Clearly Corrective Dark Spot solution for my blemishes that I'll most probably be writing a review about soon, when I feel that it have been given a fair trial period. Nonetheless, she passed me several samples (Kiehl's promotional strategy being generous samples & word-of-mouth) including this product & boy, was I shock that they really were generous with the amount of each sample given. I really like that it was enough to determine the effectiveness of the product on your own skin & sufficient for you to make your purchasing decision.

My decision? I'll definitely get it !!!! I just turned 18 & i have just gotten rid of my hormonal acne and acne cosmetica that appeared during my stressful exam period a few months ago. To cut the long story short, I now get occasional tiny pimples that pop out of nowhere & I'm pretty sure they are hormonal acne too.

This product cured my acne overnight, and I'm not even kidding !! Those tiny little hormonal pimples just disappeared after the first day I tried this product ! Regardless of them being on my forehead, chin & cheeks ^^ I'm not sure if it works for everyone but it sure helped me!!

I have sensitive skin & I'm really glad that this product didn't break me out or cause any irritation to my skin at all. It smells a little woody, like many organic products (i'm not sure if it is) but nothing unbearable.

The verdict: works great on hormonal acne & doesn't dry out your skin, provided that you apply moisturizer twice daily. Effective & quick results for me at least!

Used two tubes of this product. It didn't really do much to bring down breakouts, but as a BHA treatment it did minimally make my skin feel smoother. Didn't dry me out even when I used it twice daily.
On application, it is lightweight but feels a little greasy but will be better after absorption.
The tube packaging is convenient, but too much product comes out when you press it.

This works like magic for me! It doesn't always eliminate the pimple overnight, but it does so in a couple of days, which is good enough for me. I find this terribly expensive though, so one tip is that if you do purchase other kiehls products, you can always ask for a sample of it. one sample packet of the product should be able to last you for 2-3 months if you do not have large patches of acne!

if you're looking for an overnight result thing, this is not the product for you. it takes quite a while (even with constant application) to see results. like it says on the tube itself, the product gets rid of pimples without scarring and drying off your skin. products that do that are usually those that promote overnight results. so, its really a matter of what you want - overnight results but scars and dries off your skin? or slow results but prevents all that.

i'd go for the latter but this product takes a little too long. plus it doesn't do much for whiteheads and blackheads.

I received this as a gift from a friend. At first, I was pretty sceptical toward mid/hi-end acne products, as I was digging on homepeelings at that moment. I glanced through the ingredients and I saw salicylic acid - which I had good experience with (in aspirin mask), so I gave it a try to a few hormonal acnes.

I use this a spot treatment after applying Silk Naturals BHA Toner and Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate. For the first two days, I must say this didn't do much to the acnes. I don't know about others, but my hormonal acnes are quite stubborn ones. They're rather large in size, red, stays for a while, and when I do something (as in *ahem* picking them), they'll leave a bad dark scar which will take a long time to be vanished, even with the help of AHA and lightening product.

Anyway, I kept applying them, and at day 4 I saw a mild exfoliation on the spot. I believe the redness was quite toned down, but the size of the bump wasn't noticeably reduced. In a week, the bump has gone smaller, the redness turned into a darker spot, and it was drier without looking patchy. On some spots, it was easier to extract without any mark/scar left, yet as I rub some spots have completely gone, only leaving a slightly darker mark. I kinda like the result, it works slightly slower than I expected, but it seriously made the stubborn hormonal acne disappear. I don't depend on this concerning to the scar left from the disappearing acne. I don't really think this works in lightening the darkened spot.

However, this product doesn't always work (and I haven't found out why). It may works on what may appears as cystic acne, but there are some tiny rashes that can't be overcome by this.

Conclusion
(+) works pretty well on hormonal acne
(+) not drying
(+) clear finish, can be applied under make up

(?) I guess this only works on certain types of acne
(?) though some may find this is quite expensive, but it comes in a large size and you only need a small amount everytime you apply it

(-) takes time
(-) may leave dark spot

I may repurchase in 2 conditions: a) in a far future, since I use this in a very small amount everytime; b) if on the way I don't find something interesting.

I was given a sample packet of this last summer and quickly fell in love. I have large pores and hormonal acne so I'm constantly in a battle against spots. This cream/treatment is amazing in that it goes on sheer and reduces redness quickly and the zit is gone overnight. It also doesn't cause redness from high alcohol content. It's very soothing to the skin and I've not experienced any dryness from it at all. The tube is one ounce but if you use it for just spot treatment then it will last a long time. Finally got a full size tube tonight and will always have this on hand. Great item from Kiehl's!

Been using this for about week now and am very happy with the results I'm seeing so far. I've been using this as a spot treatment for the zits I get on my forehead and chin. For some reason I've been recently constantly getting spots in the area between my eyebrows, and I wasn't sure what to do with them since it had never happened before and I hadn't really changed anything in my makeup/skincare routine. Since it started happening I developed some acne scars in that area as well.

So, what I do is apply a thin layer on my skin morning and night on freshly-washed skin. I let it dry/sink in (doesn't take that long, I just apply my eye cream right after and when I'm done it's dry) and then apply moisturizer etc as per my usual routine. I haven't felt any dryness, it doesn't irritate my skin at all or make it flaky like Kiehl's blue stuff did. Doesn't mess up my moisturizer/foundation/concealer either. Plus, it really works! I had a couple of huge zits that I literally could see had shrunk about 30 minutes after I applied this. It also stops oncoming zits from ever appearing, and even if they do come on they're usually tiny and disappear within a day. Not sure so far if it's working in terms of getting rid of my scars... figuring it'll take a bit longer for that to be noticeable. I'm working off a sample from the Kiehl's shop which I expect will last me a pretty long time, since I'm not using it on my entire face, so I'll update if anything changes before I'm done. Will definitely purchase a full-sized product if things keep going the way they are now!

Ahh I had really high hopes for this one because it seemed to be working initially... But quickly, the magic stopped working and my zits and scars don't disappear the slightest bit even when I applied this religiously am and pm .. Really disappointing product considering its hefty price tag

It is not a bad product but it doesn't do much for me, or more than other spot treatments. I have to add, using tea tree oil has been equally and sometimes more effective than Kiehl's acne treatment.

As for the suggested use on the entire face, I can only say that it may have contributed to extra oil production in areas where I'm not usually really oily like on my cheeks. Since that experience, I use it only as a spot treatment.

This product seems to last a long time, but when it is over I will not re-purshace. My suggestion, try tea tree, it's natural, less expensive and equally effective as a spot treatment plus it has a plethora of other uses.

This product works pretty well for keeping acne at bay, especially if you don't use a face wash/moisturizer with salicylic acid in it. The salicylic acid combined with LHA (search the web for Beta-Lipohydroxy Acid) and Dioic Acid work very well together. I would say that it would take quite a long time for this to actually remove acne scarring. If it is noticeably bad I would recommend dermabrasion/glycol acid peels instead of this.

But overall, this is a great, light product to go under moisturizer/sunscreen. It sinks right in so long as you don't overuse it.

Ill start by saying that it does work on some kinds of acne. It doesn't always clear the things, but works ok. It helped me stop a pimple from coming out so that was a plus. The main issue i have with this is that after 3 weeks it seems that i started breaking out. I continued using it and it did nothing, so when i stopped using it some of the acne went away on its own after about a week. I don't know why, but it can occasionally work as a spot treatment so i will keep it for that.

This has terrible reviews, but I absolutely love it!!!! The lovely lady at my local saks counter gave it to me to try and I had to go back and buy it! A few weeks in and haven't had one blemish! I don't have terrible acne, just a blemish here and there...usually hormonal, but this has kept them at bay. I will definitely be back for more!

I've been using this product for 3 months now and I must say it does nothing for me. I bought it to clear some dark acne scars. The SA told me this would be THE product for me.
Well my tube is almost empty and it did nothing, it didn't fade those few scars whatsoever. I use it only at night because it makes me all shiny (I have combination skin) but this make my entire face shine.

The packaging is very practical and hygienic a bit like the medical creams. The texture is very fluid but doesn't absorbe well. It's quite pricy seeing it doesn't do anything (36 euro) and a tube will last you +/- 4 months.

I can't say if it clears acne because I use other products for that so I think the results are due to those products and not this one.

Despite the negative reviews, I bought this and have been using it for the last week and a half under my moisturizer/sunscreen during the day. During the first few days, my skin felt really dry and tight with this on. But afterwards my skin adjusted to it. This has dramatically helped clear my acne. I love this product. Just make sure that you moisturizer your face well after using this product.

EDIT: After awhile, the good effects ended up wearing off as my skin got use to the product. It's a good product, but not a miracle worker.

This product does not really clear blemishes as well as i was expecting it to work and it dries up my skin, leaving patches. Also, be careful when applying the product. do not apply over eye area especially around the eyelids (some people get blemishes on their brows). It will cause swollen lids.

I have used around 5 to 6 tubes of this product.....it works by lightening the scars and really aid in healing. Bad thing is that it gets a while for this product to get effective and work on the skin. But so far so gd to me.....one tube can last around 3mths with me applying the whole face twice daily.

I've used soooooo many acne treatment in my life and this is the BEST one. I recommended to a lot of my friends and all of them love it.
Although its active ingredient is 1.5% salicylic acid but unlike other same ingredient product, it DOESN'T dry out your skin around your acne and you can even use them under your concealer or make up. ( I've tried a lot of them and they all can't use under the foundation cuz it will make it look nasty)
And the best thing about this product is it makes your pimple go away in a nite. I really love this product! And I will buy it again it is a little pricey tho but it totally worth it!

This is another product I haven't finished. It's basically a 1.5% salicylic acid lotion. It has no effect whatsoever on mild acne.
