I have previously used the Sweet Almond Mint cleansing conditioner(which I love). This one is just as fantastic! Even though the scent is not the one I prefer, it smells great and always leaves my hair amazingly clean, even for a couple days after! My hair often gets oily one day after washing, so I wash every other day. With this product, even though I still wash every other day, my hair stays fresh and clean for both days, which is great. :) The price may seem a little expensive for a hair cleanser, but it is worth every penny!

I rarely write reviews these days. But I got this bottle of Wen Pomegranate on a real deal, I had always wanted to try it, but the heft price tag always deterred me.

I read the instructions and started to pump the stuff into my palm. It says to use 15-18, but at about 13-14 I stopped, you don't really need that much! I have thick hair that goes past my shoulders and I had a sufficient amount.

I glooped it onto my wet hair, let it sit for 5 minutes like the instructions said. It didn't foam much. It certainly didn't lather. How was this going to clean my hair?

When I rinsed it out, my hair didn't feel silky smooth as it sometimes does with a conditioner full of silicones. I was a bit skeptical.

After I towel dried, I didn't add more conditioner, i only used the Wen styling creme.

I then let my hair air dry, curled it and it looked pretty good. Shiny but nothing so great.

The morning after I shampooed, I felt my hair. It was very soft and quite shiny. Two days after, the softness is still there.

I've only tried this shampoo/conditioner once, but if it keeps this up, it's really great. I have read the other reviews saying that it weighs down your hair or that it causes hair loss. I will try the bottle and update. So far so good, loving this product. Not sure it's worth the price tag, you can get other shampoos without sulfates in it these days!

First of all, I don't use the Guthy Renker version - I buy from QVC. There is a formulation difference and I think they "cheapened" up the Guthy Renker formula to make more $$. And I'm not getting my bank account tied up in their autobill crap either. I love QVC and their easy pays and their return policy! Anyway, I love the scent of this! It's fruity but not overly sweet which is wonderful for me. I didn't think I'd like the menthol but it provides a bit of balance to the scent, and I like it!!! It's not as moisturizing as the other formulas (Lavender is my HG) but I like it. I'm wondering if my hair likes the wheat based formulas better than the soy based formulas. Pomegranate and the seasonals is soybased if you were wondering.

This company is the biggest scam, and not to mention, the conditioning shampoo is a cheap and damaging product!!! I purchased one order for the sweet almond mint conditioning shampoo, deep conditioner, and conditioning mist. They included a comb, styling cream and Endless Youth vitamins as a "free gift". Little did I know I just locked myself into $280 worth of unauthorized charges to my accts. Not only did they charge my account for multiple 6-month supplies without my request, but they got a hold of my NEW debit card number AND my OTHER debit card number and then charged BOTH accts. BEWARE when you place an order, they will continue to send products and you must cancel ASAP.
As for the quality of the conditioning shampoo, it is terrible. I am not just saying this because of my experience with the 8 unauthorized charges. My hair did not improve one bit by using the product, in fact, it became even more dry. I have thick hair with blonde highlights and was looking for some daily deep conditioning to improve the dryness. My hair showed now improvement and just got even worse. The only pro was the "free" comb I received good to use in the shower with conditioner on your hair. It is a waste of money and does hair no good, especially treated hair.

I received this as a set for my birthday, and this has absolutely saved my hair! My hair is color treated and has a tendency to have oily roots, but even doing wen a few times a week alternating with shampoo has rescued my hair! I would get this again if it were not so expensive, or I would like to try something more cleansing or more suited to fine/oily roots.

My hair was fried from several of my hairdressers "projects" to lighten my medium brown hair. The ends were like a stiff hairbrush. This stuff brought my hair back to life -- literally!!!! One thing - I have noticed that some people don't like it ....I would suggest that this stuff takes a lot of patience to use. I have to rinse my hair first for about 2 minutes, then put the stuff in and massage for about 2 minutes, go about the rest of my shower, then get back to my hair and rinse out for at leat 2 minutes. My hair is perfect and soft and conditioned every time. And get this - I have hair down to the middle of my back and I no longer have to use ANYTHING on it aside from the Wen, to make it look good and feel good. I don't even use my HG Morroccan oil any more! Don't use any mousse or sprays, nuttin;' honey......... And my hair is fabulous!! Thanks, Chaz Dean!!!!

The product was okay, though it got to be a little heavy even for my thick hair in the summertime. I still needed to use a shampoo to really get my hair clean, toward the end of my use of this product.

My problem lies within the customer service team at Wen. I ordered it directly through them, and it seems they have idiots there. Honestly, I've never felt more scammed by anything in my life. I decided to cancel as it was too expensive for what I was receiving - a heavy conditioner with barely any cleansing qualities. Each package (after the initial $30 introductory price) totaled at $90 - a price they never told me until later on.

I canceled and was told that I had a balance of $30 on my account, which was coming out of my check card at the time, so I should be okay. The following month, however, I saw that they deducted an additional $30. After calling customer "care", they tried to tell me that I still owed for a kit I received 3 months prior - but I was told that my account was reconciled. All this woman kept saying was apologizing for my "misinformation", and that they are correct in billing me AGAIN. I told her I haven't received any additional kits so I didn't understand why, if another person at customer "care" said my account was reconciled, I was being charged again. She said she could send me an affidavit saying that I never received a kit, but that's the best she could do.

If you want to try this, at LEAST go through QVC. I've never had a problem with QVC - come to think of it, I've never had an issue like this with any mail order company. Just save yourself a headache - don't go through WEN.

Third try at WEN and had high hopes for the pomegranate; unfortunately this also caused my hair to fall out AND stripped my hair color so quickly! Will definately NOT repurchase. I've tried the lavendar, fig and now the pom and this line simply does not work for me. Despite carefully following directions on how many pumps/ rinsing directions etc, hair is flat and greasy looking. To top it off to find large clumps of hair in shower after using WEN is disturbing to say the least. I am done w/ this line.

Ok, ladies...please read: I know this product can be tough to use. It took me months of playing with it to figure it out. You really do have to do two washings with it.

I have super thick, strawberry blond hair that is down to my waist. When I first get in the shower, I apply a lighter coat (less pumps) and really soak my hair, work it in and wash out. Then, I apply a heavier coat (more pumps), again, soaking my hair and working it in...but this time, I also use a tangle free comb and comb it through. Then, I let it sit in my hair for at least 3 minutes while I shave my legs, exfoliate, etc. When I'm ready to rinse it out...I rinse like crazy, making sure I get all of the cleanser out. My final rinse is a cool water rinse. Then, while my hair is soaking wet, I apply a small pump as a leave-in conditioner...I apply it starting at the back of my head and massage it in. It sounds like a lot, I know. But...after a lot of practice I have this down to a science and I can do it all in less than 10 minutes.

I shower daily, however, after using WEN and finally getting the hang of it, I don't have to wash my hair as much. Before, with shampoo, it was almost a daily thing. Doing this, of course, dried my scalp out majorly (no matter what shampoo I used). With WEN, I can go a couple of days before cleansing my hair.

It is a pricey product...but I do find that since I don't need to use it daily that it does last quite a long time...even with the length and thickness of the hair I have.

I have very long, thick hair. I have the gallon size off QVC, I use one pump, work through entire head, splash some water and work through again, then rinse. Then I use a second pump and work through the hair, comb through and put hair up in a clip for the rest of my shower. Follow with lots of rinsing and lastly a cool rinse. The more you use the better and the longer you leave it in the better. You can use a small amount as leave in conditioner before styling also but I only do that in the summer when I swim or go to the beach and my hair is dry. It leaves my hair feeling very smooth and makes my color/highlights last longer.

This smells like a fruity, juicy Sweet Tart. I don't understand how anyone could dislike this fragrance...Pomegranate and Fig are my favorites (as well as the most moisturizing of all the cleansing conditioners). I've been using Wen for almost two years now and my long, fine hair has never been thicker or healthier!

I was really hopeful trying this product, especially after seeing multiple infomercials and presentations on QVC. I had gotten a small bottle to try. I followed directions given by Chaz on QVC, where he said to do half the indicated amount then rinse and repeat. I will say that it did make my hair very soft, however, it made my scalp extremely itchy and coated, no matter how long I rinsed for. I ended up needing to use a clarifying shampoo twice only 3 days into using Wen. Another drawback is the price of this product. Unfortunately, a very disappointing product.

This product leaves my thick hair nice and conditioned like it says it will. However, the smell is nauseating. Can't imagine ANYONE liking this fragance which reminds me of concentrated grapes mixed with a little ICY HOT. I purchased the pomegranate because it is the only WEN Cleanser that is gluten free. I wish Chaz would formulate a fragance free, gluten free WEN Cleanser.

I've on the fence about this. My mom who watches QVC a lot gave in and purchased this for me as a gift. I got the pomegranate CC, pomegranate replenishing mist, and also a smaller size a limited seasonal edition Pumpkin CC.

The first week I used it I was ready to get on here and sing it's praises, but almost 3 weeks in I'm starting to notice what other reviews I've seen have said - build up. First off, I have thick, coarse hair that falls to my mid-back. The pump suggestion for this is 12 pumps for the crown, nape, and both sides of the hair - so that's 48 total pumps each time you wash your hair.... I skimped and found that about 8-10 worked the first couple of times just fine.

The product coated my hair just fine, the pomegranate smells great, and I actually kind of liked the menthol and the little tingle that it gives. It was easy to wash out and there were NO tangles. Usually I have to work a little when I get out of the shower before I blow dry to comb all the tangles out... but the comb and my fingers ran right through. My hair was silkier, the ends were dry and frizzy like they normally were. I use the product every other day because my hair is so long and I didn't want to run through the entire bottle in 2 weeks... but come week 2, I had to up the pumps to the full 12 per section because I was finding my hair was still oily after showering.... I'm pretty sure this is the build up that a lot of people say they're experiencing. And my hair feels very elastic if that makes any sense - I'm assuming that's the silicon. So now I'm having to shampoo like regular at least once a week...

I really liked how this initially made my hair feel, so I've started to shampoo like normal at least once a week to wash all the build up out and start fresh and see if that works.

We'll see how it conti

I saw the infomercials, I watched the presentation on QVC. One of my girlfriends ordered it and just loves it. I was hoping to love it too. Even with money being tight lately (longer story) I won't give up coloring my hair, especially since I take after my father and found my first grays around 24. And the idea of using anything that will help my color last longer sounds great to me. Yes its expensive and being that my hair is long, I had to use alot. I was still ok with that if it would actually work. Not a fan of the menthol, it serves no purpose for scalp or the skin period. That was my first issue with it. I used it several times and to me my hair seemed like it was drying out. Yah I could go longer without washing it which was suprising since my scalp is a little oily and my hair is fine. Finally when I went to get my haircut (my usual person) she mentioned it also and said it felt like my hair was "coated". Then the girl that colored my hair mentioned something similar. So then I knew it wasn't just in my head. So back it went. Thankfully QVC is great with returns. I know many love it, my friend included. Just not for me.

I can only compare this to Wen lavender, Hair One jojoba, and Suave naturals (using as c/o) since those are the only conditioning cleansers I have tried.

I used this exactly according to instructions and my hair feels nice. It is hanging in a nice, swingy way. I have naturally straight, fine, thick, color-treated hair that is just past my shoulders in a blunt cut. There is a bit more of a halo (of slightly broken or shorter hairs sticking out) than I would like but overall I think this is a decent conditioning cleanser. I didn't notice any pomegranate scent. It just smells a bit medicinal but not in a way that bothers me.

The main issue is that this products leaves my hair stringy and gross on the 2nd day. With Wen lavender, Hair One jojoba, regular c/o washing, and washing with regular shampoo I can easily go 2 days between washes. So, I don't be using this again because I don't want to have to wash every day.

So, i used WEN a while back. 2006 IIRC. really liked it but for some reason i got away from it. Anyway, i recently went from red hair to blonde. I'm naturally dirty blonde but i do a base color and alternate hilights and lowlights. My hair is fine textured (to my collarbone) but i have a TON of hair. also wavy/curly (lots a lot of curl after having my first child) and with this change in color and loss of some curl and my hair growing out, i was at a bit of loss for what to do. so i decided to try WEN again.

I got the Pom and SAM formulas off qvc. Now I use considerably less product than recommended. I use about 12-14 pumps for my scalp and 3 for the ends. Really like this product. It doesn't weigh down my hair, i always have a good bit of bounce and volume and it never feels too heavy. Now, i need moisture on my ends so i use Pom on my scalp and SAM on the ends. The Pom is just not quite moisturizing enough for my dry ends. This has been a great combo for me.

I still use a sulfate free shampoo every few weeks and i do clarify once a month followed by a protein and deep conditioning treatment. GREAT products and my hair looks fabulous from using it. Best of all, it has really revived some of my curl and it really helps the frizziness that i experience being in a very humid area. huge thumbs up for me! Only downfall is the price. it's pricey for as much product as you use and i'd def suggest playing around with that. not everyone needs as much product as suggested. I will definitely be keeping this in my shower for a long time :)

I have moderately thick, wavy, very long hair which is also color treated. Since my hair is an intense red, I am always on the hunt for products that will clean my hair without stripping my color. I thought I'd try WEN because of all of the hype. I got a 6 oz bottle of the Fig Cleansing Conditioner and I was floored when I saw how many pumps of the product they wanted you to use per wash (16-20!!).

I sniffed it and I do not think it smells at all like Fig. In fact, my first reaction was that it smells like cherry cough syrup. When I went to use it, I only took 15 pumps as that seemed a bit excessive, even with my thick, long hair. Even at 15 pumps of product (less than they tell you to use) it was at least 1/5th of the bottle. At about $20 a bottle, I can't really justify this product based on that alone. That's an extraordinary expense for shampoo. If I only washed my hair every third day, I'd spend about $40 on this shampoo a month, which is just terrible.

Back to my experience using it though - applying it to my hair, I felt it smelled distinctly medicinal. Very cherry and mint. I checked the label and found that both cherry extract and menthol are in the shampoo, so that explains that. The menthol gave my scalp a pleasant tingly sensation that I enjoyed, though I wasn't expecting that from this product. I was also worried that not using a conditioner was going to be a problem, as my hair is tough to comb through if I don't condition. I shouldn't have worried though, without using any additional product, I was able to comb through my hair just fine.

My hair feels and looks a bit cleaner than it did before I cleansed it with WEN, but it does not look or feel as clean as it does after I wash with normal shampoo. In fact, I think they probably put menthol in this product so that you have the false feeling of cleanliness that menthol brings, because without it I think you would immediately notice that your hair is definitely not clean. It's a bit flat and lifeless looking and does not feel quite clean enough to me. Frankly, I would not recommend this product for any reason. With it's incredible cost and the recommendations on how to use it making it more difficult/time consuming than normal shampooing, I don't see why anyone would use this. Add to that the fact that my hair doesn't seem very clean, and this is a terrible product in my eyes. Save yourself the trouble and money and spend a fraction of the money on a sulfate free shampoo instead.
