I missed out on the first wave of the holo-craze and didn't get on board until the China Glaze Tronica collection. As holographic polishes go, Techno Teal is rather underwhelming. Like the other Tronica polishes, the holo effect is subtle and scattered. The iridescent holo particles give the nail a 3D effect up close, but it's not that WOW factor of the OMG collection.

Techno Teal is a gorgeous, sparkly shade of teal that reminds me of looking out at the ocean. As a color, it is really beautiful. In addition, the formula is great. It seems to be one of the more opaque Tronica polishes - two coats is plenty. Plus, it dries so quickly that it makes for an excellent mani- or pedi-in-a-hurry.

Stunning! Long lasting - great for a summer pedi.
Love it - and also looks good with a coat of OPI Catch me in your net over top.

Re the reviewer below me: What chipping?? This particular polish as well as all the other Tronica polishes I've tried go for about 4-5 days before they begin to chip. I use no base coat and one top coat. I've heard that holo polishes chip easier when using a base coat. Just some food for thought.

Anyway, about the polish! Techno Teal is a fun teal with subtle holo. The holo effect looks best in direct sunlight, of course. The polish itself went on beautifully and only took 2 light coats to become opaque. I finished with a top coat by Rimmel and that mani was good for the entire work/school week.

I highly recommend this color to everyone, especially those who love blues and greens.

From the 2011 Tronica collection. I normally give china glaze a 5 for overall rating but I am kinda bummed out. I have used other holo polishes and never have they chipped so fast. I use nail magic as my base coat and seche vite as my topcoat and I had chips even a day later (and with those two products under and over my mani's have lasted at least 7 days)
I was hoping for a more linear holo effect as well but the subtle holo effect is pretty. This polish is a very pretty teal color. I am in love with teals and turquoises anyway and am glad I got it but I polished my nails tuesday and have had to fix chipped nails at least 3 or 4 times already.
I like how fast holo polishes dry though. So that is a plus. I got all 12 tronica colors. I will use them but I need to find a base and topcoat that will keep them on my fingers without having to constantly touch up or redo nails.
I took a lippie off for the chipping, and another for not being as holo as I hoped. I may get a back up of this color just because it's so pretty so yes, I would buy again even though it's a limited color.
