DL's Today Was A Fairytale is a beautiful silver glitter that twinkles beautifully as it reflects light. I wear it by itself and it's opaque after 3 coats. After application, the look is very fresh and sparkly, not heavy and gaudy. I really like all the DL glitters I've tried so far. The quality is consistently outstanding. This was my third DL glitter polish and I've purchased many more since then. What makes me really love this shade is that I received it free when I purchased two other DL's- Across the Universe and Ruby Red Slippers. I highly recommend and would purchase.

this polish is awesome! never thought i would ever drop $20 on a polish but this is so worth it..i've only tried this using a black base and one coat of Today was a Fairytale over...sooo gorgeous! even my bf liked it....my nails definitely stick out w/ this extra addition...i definitely wanna c the fx with 2 coats for the disco ball effect!

This is my favorite of all the Lippmann chunky glitters - it's just sofun and can go over a range of colors. I usually wear it over blue or grey and it looks fabulous. I get lots of compliments. One coat gives enough glitter and coverage but another coat hides a lot of the undercoat and gives it a foil appearance. I love it both ways!

This polish was probably meant to be worn alone as a sheer. One coat gives you a sheer bluish grey base. The glitter isn't sparse, but if you want an opaque glitter, you will definitely need at least 4 or 5 coats.
The formula on this was good. If you wait a few minutes between coats, it's easy to get it nice and even. You wouldn't need too many coats either as it's meant to be sheer, and looks best that way IMO.
If you're looking for the sheer "princessy/fairytale" look, then this is the right polish. If you're looking for a good opaque, large silver glitter polish, there are other silver glitters out there that cost much less and have better coverage too.

I am head over heels in love with this nail polish. It looks sort of blue-ish in the bottle, but on the nails it comes out silver. There are fine silver glitter particles mixed with larger ones. I layer 2 coats of this color over Believe (inspired by Cher), also from the Lippmann Collection and WOW, my nails are so blingy! Like a disco ball! The application is very easy, and so far long lasting. I just have to make sure I use a top coat so my nails are smooth, otherwise they feel a little rough from the glitter. It is pricey at $20, but to me it is TOTALLY worth it. Best glitter nail polish I have used, hands down.

This is my third Lippmann glitter and I love it. I used it over OPI Bubble Bath to give myself a funky French manicure and it looks really great. I think I will most likely layer it over other colors, most likely grays, in the future.
