I'm not really a primer kind of gal, but the first primer I used was the Almay colour correcting one with the purple and green serum swirled inside. I got this because it said pore minimizing and how it said it would fill them in, as well as any lines you may have on your face. Very intriguing. So I picked this up at Walmart and I was excited to use it.It feels more silicone-like and feels a bit greasy. But I patted this into my T-zone and let this do its magic. Then I applied my Maybelline dream wonder fluid touch liquid foundation with a RT sponge and just let it sit there. I do have to say, it did feel like it sat on my skin but at the same time, it did fill in my pores and kept my foundation in place in my T-zone. Overall, I think I'd buy it again. But for now, I'll use it up and try other primers because I do have to expand my "primer palette" and see what works best for me and my skin type. So far so good, though! I love the Hard Candy brand and I am excited to try more products from the line :)

This is my HG primer. It fills in lines and pores, makes my skin feel smooth and helps my foundation stay put! I am so pissed off that my local WalMart no longer carries this brand! And I'm almost out of the tube I have.......DAMN IT

Smooth formula, but its impossible to blend. Stays greasy and doesnt really absorb to your skin. I so badly wanted to like this but I couldn't. Didnt really a see a difference between not using primer and using primer. No staying power.

I bought this because lately it seems like you're and idiot loser jerk if you don't wear primer beneath your foundation. But if it's make up related, I'm more than happy to buy into the trend so I did and I bought this. Keep in my mind, my only actual reference is ELF's green primer and that did nothing so I thought if I pay more money, I'll see some actual benefit. This product was expensive IMO at Walmart and I was torn between the green one and this one but my bf was rushing me so I just grabbed this one. I've been using it for 2 months more often than not and I can say, without a doubt, it does NOTHING.wait. no, I'm lying. It actually LESSENS the longevity of my foundation. Which I also set with powder. I could wear my foundation/powder combo as a duet to the gym, run 7 miles and my face still looks in tact. But I can't even spend 10 min outside without this product obstructing my coverage. Also, I'm sorry. I don't like the texture or viscosity or whatever the word is. It's like greasy-esque. which makes my face feel greasy-esque. Oh, and also, before it messes up my look, I see no difference with or without it. But maybe my skin, which isn't perfect but I don't have noticeable pores, breakouts, or discoloration aside from slight redness, just doesn't receive it well because I don't need it?Anyways, I've been primer free since doing my make up and it hasn't hurt me yet so I doubt I'll buy any again. Esp this shit.

I grabbed this because I needed a primer to try to perfect my makeup more, and help last longer. Sad to say I will be returning it, and here's why. When I got home to put it on my face to see what it looked like, instantly it felt like oil, like pure oil. Did not look it, but felt like it on my hand and face. I overlooked this and applied my foundation anyways, all was well. Until the end of the day, right now I can look at my face and it looks and feels like an oil spill. My makeup is basically gone, melted off I guess you could say. I suffer with large pores and this did fill them a tad bit. But other than that it's not worth it I'd say.

I really wanted to like this. The packaging is so cute and it has such a silky feel when you swap it on your hand. I don't know why I strayed from my HG Almay primer, I guess id forgotten how hard it is to find a great primer. This definitely isn't one. It's very greasy, no matter how little you use and how long you let it set. It has practically no staying power, and my whole face just slides after only a few hours with this. I've used it with various foundations and powders and no matter what, it causes my makeup to oxidize and separate. I checked my makeup in a bathroom mirror while I was out, after wearing this on a very cold day, and my contouring had slid all over, making me look like the elephant man, my eye makeup was running in the corners and my nose was a patchy mess. Not to mention the area above my mouth having no makeup whatsoever. So horrible.

I actually really liked this primer. I've tried Almay (STAY AWAY), Nivea (just okay) and Baby Skin (too slippery) and this primer is just perfect. I don't really have any wrinkles so I can't speak to that, but I will say this primer minimized my pores and made my skin feel like silk. I waited five minutes before applying foundation with a damp sponge and it applied like a dream. No settling into my smile lines or any dry patches. This stuff is cheap too, it's only $8 at the WalMart I work at. I've also ordered the ELF mineral infused primer to try, but for now this is the one I'm reaching for every time!

Pretty good primer, it is very smooth and makes your face very soft. My makeup went on much smoother.

Went to Walmart to get another bottle of Revlon Miracle Blur located in the face lotion/cleanser area because I liked the primer effect but did not like the price (even at Walmart). Came across the Hard Candy Skin Perfecting Primer while in the cosmetics area, read the instructions, and LOVED the price. Bought it, tried it and LOVE it! After cleansing my face, I apply this primer and allow it to set per the instructions (I give it about 3 minutes). My skin feels smoother instantly and my foundation goes on very nicely. At the end of the day in hot, humid weather, my make up still looks fresh and matte! It also still feels smooth without being oily. For me, the Hard Candy Skin Perfecting Primer works better than Miracle Blur and is better for my budget. At least I don't have to be broke to stay lookin beaufiful all day!
