Finally, my dream pink lip product. Got it at Ulta for BOGO 50% off, then uses a $3.5 of $10 coupon.
Pros: Professional packaging, sweet vanila scent, great matte finish and lasting power. It's a neutral pink that doesn't look too pale in daylight.
Cons: It won't dry you out, but if your lips are not in good condition it'll show.

This is a brighter pink shade with a strong mauvey purple undertone. The swatch in the picture is a bit more pink then in reality, but on the lips it looks similar to the one here. I feel like I look a bit too cartoony if I do it all over my lips. So I dab a few dots on the top & bottom lips & then spread with my fingers. For a everyday look I much rather prefer this in Natural with a lipgloss on top but this gets some use on my pop of color days.

These matte lip creams are incredibly light and dry matte. I was scared Istanbul was going to be a fake bright pink color, but it is soooo wearable! It is not a crazy cool toned pink or extremely warm. It is actually quite a neutral light pink. These have a good lasting power, but not if you will be eating or drinking. Any of those will totally deteriorate the lipstick, and you will need to reapply or it will look blotchy and hella weird.

I really wanted a pink matte lip cream. I was torn between this and Tokyo and figured Tokyo would look too cool and milky on my light-medium yellow/warm skin. This was a pretty good color match up for me! The scent wasn't overwhelming, no flavor and the color gave me the pink I was craving for. Yeah it's a bit drying but nothing some carmex can't fix.

Really wanted to love this product but first off, Istanbul, which is a mauve-rose color, turned out to be too pink for my gold/neutral undertones and washed the rest of my face out.
Second, while the opaque formula applies like a dream and feels creamy upon initial application, after only a short amount of time I found my lips to be even drier than they naturally already are. I should have known, since matte products would dry out the skin they sit on. Great for my oily facial skin, not so great for my dry lips.
Lastly, the formula smells strongly of cake and sugar with just a hint of chemicals, which smells nice if you're getting a quick whiff of it. But I personally am not fond of sugary sweets so the smell was sickening, moreso on my lips and so close to my nose throughout wear.
Ultimately, as amazing as the pigmentation is for a liquid lipstick, matte formulas just aren't a match for my dry lips and as such I would not recommend this for those who have dry, chapped lips. Definitely not something to wear on a windy day either! I recommend opting for a moisturizing shine formula instead.

I've got these in four colour so far; Addis Ababa, Stockholm, Antwerp and Istanbul. And I love them. I adore matte finishes because they make me a good deal less self-conscious about the fact I'm wearing lipstick (it still seems like such a grown-up thing to do even though I'm 23) because I can just apply and forget about it.
Istanbul is a lovely neutral (but leaning towards cool) toned dusty pink. It looks to me to be an Audrey Hepburn type of shade.
The lasting power I find is better on this one than on the other shades I own. Don't really know why - probably a batch thing.
I definitely recommend getting these. Amazing product.

This is my go to lipporduct when I don't know what to wear. I love the finish. I love me some matte lips! I have worn this more than anyother lip porduct in my collection & thats really saying something since I have a bahzillion lip products!

I first was interested to try this product when the MyGlam girls were talking about it. The name confused, but also interested me. This product claims that it "goes on silky but looks soft matte". I loved the concept of this product but I find the quality not to be that great. I have the color Istanbul, a rosy pink. The pigmentation is lacking, too sheer for my taste. The color rubs off incredibly easily. I simply did not enjoy this product.

I would really really love to make this product work on me.
I absolutely adore the color and it would've suited but the formulation just doesn't work on me.
It cracks on my lips and is too dry for me.It makes my lips look ugly :( But if only it were as effective as the Black Label Lipsticks, I'm sure it would be a great color.
For reference I'm Asian with NC30 skintone. I have very pigmented lips as I have a heart condition.

A beautiful, long wearing pinky/nudey color. I will buy again, and again!

The first thing that caught my eye was the fact that this lip cream looked just like MAC's limited edition "Pink Friday" lipstick. For under $6, I could definitely pay for a likely dupe. It doesn't last as long as long I would like it to, but the product is basically a lipstick in a gloss tube. It gives a nice matte finish, and has a sweet scent. Definitely a go-to for the perfect baby pink.

Love this color along with the formula of these matte lipsticks. They really are fantastic or such an affordable price. This is pretty much MLBB for me, its easy to wear, lasts a long time love them all

I have this product in EVERY color that NYX makes. They have 5 or 6 shades. Istanbul is my favorite... I wear it everyday. Its very smooth. A little of this product goes a long way.
on the packaging it says "its not a lipstick nor a lipgloss its like nothing you've ever experienced before. Its lipstick cream that goes on silky but looks soft matte." THIS IS THE BEST WAY to describe it. it does live up to its description Price is great. Packaging could be cuter but thats no big deal. overall WIN WIN!

i bought this product to try a matte look on my lips. i generally have lip shine products and wanted to mix it up. as a lip product i did find it a little drying. i have a large bottom lip that without constant moisture becomes dry and flaky and this product highlighted that dryness. HOWEVER. a small dab of it on the cheeks is THE BEST MATTE CREAM BLUSH i have ever used. seriously. it should be sold as a blush. it lost one lippie for being a lip product because it's a little drying but it would be a solid five as a blush. use your finger to take a little product off the applicator and gently pat a SMALL amount on your cheeks.
the color is a beautiful light coral pink that looks natural and dewy on while having a soft matte finish. i'm looking forward to trying other colors and experimenting with it more as a lip product with more moisturizing balm underneath. for 5 dollars it's well worth a try.

These lip creams are excellent stains. They last for hours, through eating, drinking, whatever. Istanbul is a "your natural lip color but a bit more pink" shade. It's very pretty, and great when you are going for a "no-makeup" look. A little bit drying, but that's just how these matte stains are. They feel like nothing on, totally weightless (which I like). If you put a clear lip gloss over this, it turns into kind of a Barbie pink. Pretty color, good price.

A really nice, color-of-your lips-but-better soft pink color with a matte finish. It feels really soft and velvety on your lips and isn't too drying either (certainly less drying than lip stains usually are, I can't even wear those because they drive me crazy). It has a strong sweet vanilla scent that goes away after 10 minutes and I don't think it has a taste, at least not a strong one. Lasts pretty long on your lips, even with drinking and eating. I like to wear this under my lipstick (but of course the colors have to match). Sometimes it can feel a bit tight on my lips (but it usually takes at least half an hour for me to notice it) so I put a lip balm over it. I don't have problems with it accentuating dry spots or lines on the lips though. The packaging is nice too, the applicator is a sponge. I am a bit disappointed because I expected this to be less pink so it wouldn't look so natural on my lips (I guess I had the shade Tokyo in mind but ordered the wrong one). Would probably repurchase this shade too though.

A bit pinker than I thought it would be, based on the pictures online. However, I still really like it. It gives your lips a really soft, matte color without making them look dry as I think some matte lip products do. It does settle into lip lines, even if your lips are well-moisturized, but if you rub your finger over your lips to smooth it out, it is fine. The lip cream also has a slight...vanilla cupcake? scent to it, but it has no flavor. Lasting power is reasonable for a product of this price.

This is my third of these lipstick/glosses and I love it! It looks different on than in the tube. It is slightly darker and rosier. It is warm toned unlike some of the other pinks in the collection. I am warm toned too so I feel that it is quite wearable for me. It is nice to pair with smokey eyes or another bold color because it is not that garish or out there. The formula, of course, is great! Several coats makes this opaque, matte goodness that is pretty much kiss and meal proof. I love these things and won't stop until I have them all! Get this!

A deeper pink (a little bright), but deeper than Tokyo. Can be bright if you apply too much, but applying a little bit gives a nice pink color to the lips.. I don't prefer pinks, which is why this is rated 3 lippies (I am warm toned and prefer peaches and browns), but it didn't look ridiculous on me. Great texture, dries to velvety/matte finish
