This is another discovery I made while looking for a drier thicker coverage concealer (see my other review on NARS Stick Concealer).

This is an expensive product for concealer (around $30) but it will last you a while. The coverage is heavy if that is what you want, it doesn't disappoint. I think given that I like drier concealers to cover moles, I'm trying to find the right combo of primer and setting powder so it lasts and the concealer doesn't just smear away. But this would be a go to product that I have to have around since I need a full coverage concealer that doesn't just disappear with a swipe of your hand.

Best for strategic coverage spots and not so much for under your eyes since it's a drier formulation.

This is a good foundation. But somehow I always forget about it and it never lets me down. I have a bunch of foundations, as you could guess, and I feel sorry for this little guy who gets neglected. I think I just forget it's foundation full stop. I'm not used to crèmes, especially in stick form. Apart from this one, I've always used liquids and it's just a bad habit to pick something else up. But I do love this stuff, it's good stuff.

Pros:
*The lightest shade is a perfect match and I find that really hard to come by. I'd say it was closest to NC15 in MAC if I had to (everyone always wants a MAC shade comparison) however, I do think it's slightly warmer than that.

*It glides on so smoothly. I use it like a crayon and draw up both cheeks, across my jawline, down my nose and across my forehead. Then I get a foundation brush and blend it all together.

*It stays on all day. And I mean all day - and won't budge. I will point out that I have dry skin so that's probably why, but I think if you were oily it'd still do a good job of staying on. It's a drying foundation because...

Cons:

*It makes my dry skin feel very tight and sometimes leads to it becoming dryer. Which is a downside. However, if I moisturise properly like I'm supposed to, then this doesn't happen. So the fault is partly with me and getting lazy. But if you can control your dry skin, then it's not so bad.

*Packaging. I'm not a fan of the packaging because with mine, the lid keeps sliding off. Which is annoying. The reason it slides off is because it got a crack in it from being in my handbag. So I guess the packaging is not the best. However, the product inside is what counts and the product inside is great.

LUUUHVE this stick. I never use liquid foundation. I just use a bit of concealer (such as this amazing one) and a sheer powder overtop.

I like this because it works great on oily skin, doesn't irritate painful pimples or blemishes, and feels very light/non existent on. Lasts all day. Coverage is full. Its a drier formula, so it feels very comfortable on all skin types.

This is easy, comfortable, quick, and effective. All the things I adore in a concealer stick.

This is definitely my HG.

Last year I gave my review on Vichy Dermablend concealer (which was my previous HG and was livid when it was discontinued.) When the beautician introduced me to it's replacement (Vichy Corrective Cream Stick) I was skeptical and raised and eyebrow. However, I gave it a chance.

And I love it.

I didn't think I could love something more than the concealer. But this really, really covers up my acne scars. I have now cleared my skin up with medication and hormonal treatments and I need less and less of this, but this kept me sane during the difficult months. My scars are very dark and this was the only thing that would cover it. It also has not triggered any more breakouts. My beauty routine is Maybelline BB Cream, then this to touch up under the eyes and any old scar areas, then cover with bronzer. I use it as a concealer but it can definitely be used as foundation in a pinch. The fact that it is easy to carry and apply is a bonus. For me, applying it directly to my face works. If I'm the only one using it, I'm not overly concerned with hygiene issues.

It also truly is water-resistant. I can go in and out of the ocean and my makeup stays in place. However, it will fade with excessive sweating or towel rubbing...but it won't slide away at the first drop of water.

It IS quite expensive. But it lasts quite a bit (depending on how much you use). In Canada one can purchase this at Shoppers Drug Mart so I usually wait until I get a $10 coupon or save up some points...but if none of those are available than I just cave and pick one up. I literally feel disjointed if I leave the house without this.

Vichy I cursed you when you discontinued the concealer. But I take it all back because this is so awesome!

Bought this in the shade nude. It is a little light for my skin (nc40) but i like that as i find it covers up my acne scarring better. I use it more as a concealer then a foundation, so I can see this stick lasting me forever! Just the tiniest bit will cover my whole cheek, and it lasts all day (more than 12 hours). It doesn't fade or oxidize at all on my skin which is great. I just wish they have a few more shades in their colour range, but I will still definitely repurchase if i ever am able to finish it.

I bought this dermablend stick about two weeks ago and I am very pleased. It delivers what it promises.
I was in serious need of a concealer that would not fade after 1 hour - 6 hours and provided plenty of coverage.

My problem area : LOTS of acne scaring on my chinarea, and roscea from my lower cheeks to my jaw. The rest of my face doesn't need that much coverage so I hated buying the high coverage foundations. They made my whole face look cakey and chalky and it was unnesacairy seeing I only needed the coverage at the lower half of my face. And Concealers never quite did the job. They wear off after 2 hours and for some reason they made my scaring more blue'ish then before make up.
But honestly, I realy feel like I hit the jackpot with this dermablend. It's provides AMAZING coverage. And I'm lucky enough that shade 12.opal matches my skin perfectly.
I heard some people review this as a very dry product. Yes, that's true. But I'm afraid you can't have it both ways. I'm sure they could put more moisture in this stick or make it less dry, but then the coverage would be much less. Sadly chocolate isn't calorie free either.
The magic is in how you apply this. You realy should ONLY use this in the area it is needed.
I apply this right after my moisterizer on my problem areas. Right above my jaw till underneath my cheeks to cover the roscea (I warm it up with my fingers, put it on,and dap/blend it out with a little sponge) and very local on the chin scaring ( I put this on with a tiny concealer brush, just where it's needed.)
I let that set for 2 minutes and then I just apply my very lightweight , glowy foundation ( lingerie de peau by Guerlain shade 12.rose clair). This technique realy does wonders, and it will look like your make up is so naturel and radiant. The dermablend realy sticks on the areas, don't worry about blending it away with your light foundation. " you only put the band-aid where it's needed.".
Just make sure that your dermablend is the exact same shade as your foundation.
Overal, I realy realy love this little stick. And there are defenitly techniques and ways to make this product appear less dry and cakey. Experiment a little with it, I'm sure you'll find the perfect way that works for you !

Firstly it isn't the foundations fault that the saleswoman gave me a shade that was too dark. That being said I can't wear it during winter cuz it's too dark and would make me look look like an orange clown plus my skin is drier during the winter season and this only accentuated the dryness. Anyways I still think it's okay cuz it matches me in between seasons when my tan starts to fade and is easy to apply (thanks to the company including good instructions).

I have sensitive acne-prone skin and all concealers tend to "slide" off me by midday, even with powder - UNTIL I found the Vichy Dermablend Concealer sticks. I can conceal the nastiest of blemishes and full blown zits with this and it lasts all day, when I finish with the Vichy Dermablend Setting Powder. Colour selection is poor, but I'm lucky enough to have a match in their line. Though I love their concealer, the foundation in the Dermablend line is garbage. Oily, streaky, slides right off. I swear by Clinique's Stay Matte Oil Free foundation for my base, then I dab the Vichy concealer on any spots still visible, powder the whole thing with the setting powder, and I'm good for the whole day. Sometimes I need to blot at lunchtime for t-zone oil but I don't need to reapply anything and that is a FIRST for me in a decade. Will buy this as long as they make it! Also covers scars really well!

Age: 19-24   Skin: Sensitive, Olive   Hair: Brunette, Wavy, Medium   Eyes: Brown

I have quite a number of things to say about this product (the good, the bad, and the disappointing).

First I'll start with what's so disappointing/bad about this product/brand. I first found out about this product a few years ago, while I was in England. I left my concealer stick at home (in the US) and was in terrible need of a concealer. I had read about Vichy Dermablend Ultra Corrective Cream Stick and was very drawn to it. The only downside was I did not know where to purchase this in the states. You could only imagine the excitement I had when I saw it in Boots. I picked it up. It was rather pricey. I believe it was about 22GBP, which is about $35.70 USD (currently) However, I just HAD to get it. There was a large selection of shades, and I was matched with Bronze (#16). It was absolutely perfect! (Keep reading about the actual product review... I'm telling about what's disappointing first). Anyway, after over a year and a half (about 20 months or so), my beloved stick became a little nub and I was desperate to purchase it again. I went on ebay and found my stick for about $25 but with $15 shipping. I decided to try other products.., until I found that several of my local CVS sold Vichy Dermablend sticks as well! Plus I found out, it was $27 and some change, however, you can use extrabucks and other assorted coupons to bring down the price. At the time, I had, I believe $10 of extrabucks, $10 beauty bucks Vichy coupon, and 30% off any non-sale or clearance item! All of those could be applied and would not hurt my wallet! It was a joyous day when I found out. However, my happiness was cut short when I found out my perfect shade of Bronze was not sold in any of my local CVSs. In fact, Bronze was NOT sold in the US. At all! The US sector of Vichy Dermablend only sell 4 shades: Opal, Nude, Sand, and Gold (I think the last one is Gold...). I had to either purchase my shade for $40 or see if any of those shades would at least help with concealing. With the help of a lovely employee, she helped me swatch some of the shades. I tried Sand (I think that is #15) and found that it was way to pink for my skintone (I'm an NC35 for reference... can get away with NW25 for concealing though). I tried Gold next and that was way too dark for me. I knew Opal was WAY too light for me, so I decided to try Nude (#14) with much hesitation. Turns out, it was a pretty good match for me. It was a little on the light side, but it was not too obvious. When you look at the shades in the tube side by side (I kept my nub anyway), they are similar even though Nude is a bit lighter. I ended up purchasing it and it works alright. It works well in the colder months when my skin is a bit lighter.

Now! Onto the good (I'm so sorry for the disappointing/bad to be so long). I absolutely love this concealer (even though it says it's a foundation stick). It is a HG product for me definitely. You only need a bit. I choose to use my ring finger, rub some product on and then tap it all over my spots/blemishes. If you go overboard (i.e. smearing it on straight from the tube or scraping a bit with your brush), it will look drying and it will look cakey. I have tried this with a foundation sponge and it is not so friendly to work with. I've tried a wet foundation sponge and it's alright. If you use a brush, use a small concealer brush (like E.L.F.'s concealer brush... which is not expensive at all... it's only a buck); it'll provide the coverage in the places you need it, it will provide the right amount, and won't cake up. I had quite bad cystic acne and have bad acne scars. This never broke me out. Now that I don't have bad acne, I do have sensitive skin (I'm sensitive to even benzyl peroxide and salicylic acid... which are used in majority of acne topical medications). This has not irritated my skin. I have dry skin, so I know that if you apply too much, it'll make the appearance of dryness and flakiness more apparent. This a heavy duty, full coverage concealer; use it with a light hand. Not only will it help with its appearance, you can make one tube (12g) last for a long time (has a 24 month shelf life and believe me, if you use it every day with little product, this can last you much longer than 24 months).

Out of the two shades I have, I definitely love Bronze and have contacted Vichy about their poor display of color selection in the US (and should provide the same amount of color selections as everywhere else). I do not mind Nude and will continue to purchase it unless Bronze finally shows up in the US. Overall though, I will continue to repurchase this cream stick!

Bought this with high hopes of being a carry-anywhere, cover-anything concealer. Unfortunately it is hideously dry and chalky/waxy and unless your skin *surface* is perfect (statistically unlikely in someone buying a mega concealer) the product will "catch' on any slight undulation in the skin's surface, making a tiny dry patch become massively obvious. I tried many different methods of application and it always looked revolting. Concealing ability very poor too - redness showed right through. A waste of £22, unfortunately.
EDIT: This was sitting in the makeup cabinet, buggging me. I tried it this morning, over primer and under liquid foundation. Used a rubbery eyeshadow-blender-tip to scrape a bit of concealer off the stick and dotted it onto blemishes, then used eyeshadow blush to blend. Actually got a very good result like this, so will keep it, but it's still a right faff to apply.

I've been wanting to try the Vichy line by dermablend for quite some time now & when I went to my local CVS, I saw it there! ($29.99) i originally wanted to buy the liquid foundation but They only had the stick foundation so I decided to buy it thinking it would give me better coverage. Okay 1st of all, I do not use this as a full face foundation, Since its pretty thick, i used it to cover my dark circles, acne Marks and spots. It does a good job at covering everything but no matter how little I apply under my eyes, it always cakes up even after I apply a setting powder, it still creases -__- I'm just going to continue using this to cover up my blemishes but not under my eyes. After I'm done with this product I don't think I will be repurchasing it.

I try this in Opal. I love it cause it covers really well , good for my redness. But after few days, i notice my skin was irritated. Opal was the first shade that matches exactly my skin tone. If you have any suggest of others brands , but mostly for those who use Opal shade, which brand makes a foundation of the same shade (most important) but a little less irritating.Suggestions please :D

I was browsing through my local CVS, when I saw this product. I had heard good things about the brand. Lucky me, it was marked down to $6.50! Of course I bought it. The only shade they had was Sand, which at the time matched me well. I used this to cover fresh acne scars that were quite large and dark. This did the trick! I patted it on with a tiny concealer brush then buffed the edges. It is truly opaque. What impressed me the most was the staying power. I had never found a concealer to last as long as this did, 7-8 hours of coverage! (That was on days that were around 85 degrees, muggy and sunny.)

I truly love this! I will try to pick up the next shade lighter when I run out of this. But in the meantime, I just conceal with this product and dab a bit of a lighter powder on top to blend the color.

Wow. I wish this was available in a shade that matched me. I saw 3 shades at CVS ($29.50 for 1.0 oz tube). Opal 15 was the fair-light shade with pink undertones; Sand 35 the light to medium & Gold 45 a deeper medium both had yellow undertones; but too dark for me. I'm a NC25, Revlon CS Buff, L'oreal True Match W2 & IMO the Sand was about NC30 while the Gold an NC40 match. It was super blendable & gave exceptional coverage; a dab on my pinky covered the back of my hand & so long lasting that I had to pull out my hand sanitizer to scrub it off & try the other shades. I read that it came with SPF 20, oil-free, fragrance-free, 12 hrs wear & water resistant! All this along with the comfort of having testers, could well be worth the cost of paying its high end departmental price at the drugstore (so long you find a match).

After using the Vichy Dermablend liquid foundation and thinking it was fantastic, i thought the stick would be similar if not heavier coverage than the liquid version.
However, I found it a lot more sheer than the liquid version, and very hard to blend, even on top of a good moisturiser.
I had to put some on my fingers and rub them together to get it warm enough to blend, and even then it was tough to manage.
I imagine if you heated it between your fingers and applied it with a small foundation brush, it might be okay... but it doesn't last regardless. Seemed to wipe off without me even touching my face! I'd use it for a concealer, but probably wouldn't re-buy it. Will be sticking to the liquid version which is so much better.

Love this product, carry it with me everywhere. I bought the lightest shade first, but it was too light for my fair skin! So I bought the "Opal" shade then instead.

Its the best conceleaer Ive tried, the colour really matches my skin and it really does cover well. I just use this for acne marks/melasma and it does a great job. I wouldnt use it all over my face as I would feel too caked up with makeup! I do reapply this a few times a day but I dont mind as I have never found a concelaer with 100 percent staying power.

Worth the money as it will last so long. Compare this to a tiny pot of mac conealer for the same price!! Definitely worth it.

I'm testing this again. My skin is about an NC30-35, slightly oily, acne-prone. I have the colour in bronze, and it's a really close match (i have yellow-olive undertones).
I remember trying it when I was trying a lot of foundations a while back, and I think I dismissed this for rubbing off too easily. Anyway, today I've set it with some oil control/setting powder, so I'll update this after testing it for a few days with that combination.
I really love how easy it is to apply / blend, and the coverage is great. It really looks flawless upon application.

I have both the vichy dermablend foundation in a tube and also this stick, I use the stick over the foundation on my problem skin for double coverage and i really like this, the vichy products are full coverage and can look quite thick so blend blend blend, I love the fact that you can apply quite a lot but once its blended in you cant see any of my acne, and it just looks flawless! These products really are a dream and if you suffer from acne I would give these a go! I got mine from one of the bigger Boots stores, its not that cheap I think it was roughly £19 however foundations from leading brands can push you to over £30 so its a good investment as a little goes a long way.

Age: 18 & Under   Skin: Acne-prone, Medium, Warm   Hair: Black, Straight, Medium   Eyes: Black

I got this at London Drugs for $23. It was on sale! The regular price is $30. I don't think it's expensive, but it's definitely cheaper than some other foundations I have. (Even if it wasn't on sale). I actually have this in both the stick form and the one in the squeeze bottle (Except I've been told they're two different things....I'll have to see about that). I've only used this product for 2 weeks now, and I'll start using the other one after a month.

First off, I'll talk about my skin. I've got oily, acne-prone skin with pigmentation all over my face and a few active pimples. I'm a NC35-40 for reference and I use this in the color Sand. It's a little pink for me, but I don't really mind. (Just blend it down my neck, my forehead and ears and it should be okay).

What I really like about this is that I can just pop it in my bag. It's just a bit bigger than lipstick. So touch ups are a breeze. I use this as a concealer and all over when I need/want the coverage.

I use my fingers when I do this. I've read that people use a foundation brush, and I find that it's a little hard for me to work with it when I do that. The warmth of my fingers help work it around. I know people think it's "unhygienic" if you use your fingers. Well, I don't. Maybe you should try washing your hands before you do it. I swirl my finger on the stick a couple times to warm up the product and start at the center of my face and work my way out. It's full coverage, but I find that I need to go back to certain areas just to dab more on. The texture is a lot creamier than I expected, (It's my first time using a stick foundation) and I find that I don't use as much product, like my MAC foundations. The finish for me is not fully matte, it has a bit of dewiness. I like a full matte finish because I am OILY and will get "dewy" anyway. It kinda sucks because this does get oily after 4+hours. It's nothing a little blotting paper and powder can't fix.

Even with that problem, I really do like this foundation. I took one lippie off because it doesn't do a good job at controlling my shine and that when I do blot, it comes off. Or when I'm rubbing my face it comes off as well...I do like that it is hypo-allergenic! It has no smell (well, I can't smell anything).

I think that's all I have to say about this....I think it's worth trying, if you're looking for a good full coverage foundation. It's not heavy or cakey for me. But maybe for those who are used to just tinted moisturizer it might be too heavy a feeling. But for gals like me that NEED full coverage, I say this is a good option. Wouldn't say its my HG...I'm still looking for one. But in my opinion, because this works as both a concealer AND foundation so it's worth the money.

Hope this helps! I'll add an update after I've used it for a month :)

I luv this product, I gave it a 4 because it doesn't cover my bag as good as my MAC Concelar.
This product is heavy but if you apply it with a foundation brush it blends into your skin very nicely and i finish it off with the MAC blot powder.
I luv this foundation because it's all in one, I don't have to use a conclear to hide my acne marks because this covers everything and makes my skin look flawless.
I recommend this if you have a lot of marks that need some coverage, for people with good skin this may be a little too heavy coverage.
