I vant to be a lone star- its a great all year round colour, minty enough for the warmer months and cool enough for the cooler icy months- great formula as for all OPI colours I own, and I find when its with a topcoat it can last a week. 4/5 days without. Has a glam pearl shine/ not shimmery/ glittery. Very classy / classic.

This was a gift and I was super happy to receive it. i adore colors like this and I had this on my wishlist. I can only give it 2.5 stars however. I tried this polish 3 times. Each time it was streaky on one coat and not totally even at two. And worse, it just would not dry even with Seche Vite, which dries 90% of my polishes within minutes. It may work better on others but I had a hard time with it. Color is awesome. Very chic! And I love the name.

NC25 here. I scored this polish for a mere $2. So happy! This is a muted powder blue with a grey cast to it. Its lovely on my toes & such a unique color. It isnt loud at all so I should have put it on my fingers rather than my toes (I prefer the obnoxious colors on my toes no matter the season) but it looks great anyway. The color reminds me of an overcast winter day. I really like it a lot!

LOVE this color. But application was a mess. streaky for the first two coats with cuticle flooding. I spent more time in clean up than painting. At three coats it is beautiful, dusty grey light blue with micro shimmer. not a bold color at all, very classy soft blue.
Despite the headache in application, I still love this enough to repurchase.

I absolutely love this color! I was looking for a baby blue that was sort of dusty looking, and I found it! The application is great with two coats. I got sooo many compliments on it. It really made my nails look even longer (which I like) and narrower. The shine this polish has is just amazing. Definitely one of my favorites, and I would definitely buy this again.

This is definitely one of my fave nailpolishes! I am an OPI addict and totally love the quirky names.
I have a light/medium brown skin tone and this colour looks really good on me!
I HATE frosted nail polishes, and you definitely don't have to worry about this one. The polish is more cream than frost, and therefore applies like a dream. In two good coats the colour is opaque, sometimes I use 3 thinner coats.
It's has a beautiful pearly finish, without the cheap loook some frosty polishes have. It is a very sweet babyblue with a hint of grey colour, but doesn't look childish at all.
I get a lot of compliments when wearing this polish, and I prefer te look on tan/ darker skintones. Maybe not too dark, to avoid the correction fluid look.
Suggestion: after applying I Vant to be A-lone Star, try a layer of Last Friday Night before applying your topcoat. I really love the combo!

I Vant to be a Lone Star looks like a pale, greyish muted sky blue with a slight pearlescent quality in the bottle. On me however, it turns more into a muted light sky blue with not much hint of gray to it. It is also much more pearlescent than it appears. Though it is not as gray as I expected, I really enjoy this color especially for spring and summer. I do not already own any light blue polishes and am glad I have this one as it isn't a pastel or bright light blue. I have a pale olive tone and this looks nice and cheerful on my toes.

I super heart this color! I bought the minis at Ulta and will def be buying the full size because I don't want to ever be without this color. It went on like a dream. I used 2 coats but prob could have done a third. TC of SV and I was dry as a bone in minutes.
I have olive skin and a bit of a tan right now and I agree with the other reviewer who said it's great on tan or darker skin tones.
Love, Love, Love it....

I really wanted to like this color but instead of looking the way it does in the bottle it comes out looking way to pearly baby blue - not a fan at all. Sending it off to my niece who will probably like it. Ugh!

Whimsical yet industrial, this light metallic blue-gray is great under shatter or by itself. It looks particularly good with a tan. I get good, completely opaque coverage with two coats. Not at all streaky.

Lone Star is a light blue that's a bit on the grey side and has a pearl finish. It's a very nice color for Spring but it's not the most original color. I got the most compliments on this colore when I added Essie's Matte About You as a top coat so I would suggest doing that to the polish to spice it up! Overall I do think it's a very nice color.

What it is: a hazy blue gray nail polish.
- - -
Pros - long wearing and very chip resistant. This bottle (like any OPI nail polish) will last for years. The brush evenly distributes the polish for a concise application.
- - -
Cons - took about three coats to build up to the intensity I was looking for. First coat was pretty clear, second coat was alright, but third coat and it finally looked liked the color of the bottle.
- - -
Over all: this is a safe nail polish color, very office / school appropriate. A subtle very 'appropriate' shade perfect for looking polished. If you're looking for something bright or bold this is not it. The color is muted and semi matte / semi cream. I would say this is a nice alternative for those who don't want to wear a full on blue or gray nail polish color.

I picked this color out at the nail salon b/c I was attracted to its shimmery pale blue/grey hue, also It's part of the Spring 2011 collection. It was very bright on my fingernails. I prefer a more subtle tone. I think it may look best on someone younger, or someone who feels more comfortable than I do wearing such distracting colors @ work :) Was opaque in three coats...rather thick too.

i was disappointed with this polish i was hoping it would be more grey but on my nails it is really just a pale blue, nothing that spectacular. it is very creamy therefore, tends to be a little streaky, its opaque at 2 coats, there is nothing wrong with this shade or anything it just isn't exactly what i was expecting.

This is a great color. I own a huge arsenal of grey toned polishes and thought at first this one would be too similar to everything else in my collection to stand out- but that's not the case! On the nail, the blue tones of this polish really pop, and the shimmer makes it stand out again your hand. Against my very fair skin it looks like my nails have been transformed into shimmering clouds. The only slight downside of this polish is the application. I needed 3 coats to really even out the color, but I don't mind doing multiple coats at all, so it wasn't really a problem for me. However, if you're looking for a lacquer that is completely flawless in two coats, this might not be your best bet. Drying time was quick though, so the three coats weren't as much of a pain as you would think. Overall, it's a great polish and I'm thinking about buying a backup bottle!

I Vant To Be A-Lone Star is from the Texas Collection 2011. This is by far one of my favorites. It is a sky blue, light azure color with a tint of grey and subtle green. It is also a half creme, half shimmer gloss finish. The shimmer is not too prominent so it makes the color and texture comes alive. It also resemble Cool In The Pool, which has been discontinued.
The application is good. First coat is medium sheer nut a good thick second coat will make it opaque. Looks great on fingers and toes. I think cool skin tone will benefit from this color but it also gives a good contrast to warm skin tone. Will definitely buy this again.
