As a hair stylist I will say that I was inspired with how smooth this made my daughters and kept it healthy but sadly there is something in this that gives myself facial rashes when she rubs her head on my checks and or neck. She is only 2 yrs old and we are very loving so it had to go. I can not give up hugging snuggling my baby, It actually made me itch and welt and get bumpy rashes that turned into little white heads. I started using Aloxxi spray which is also free from dangerous chemicals and is the product line i recommend to adult clients. otherwise I would have kept her on the California baby.

I love this product. My daughter's hair is super fine and I only wash her hair every two days because its so damaged from when she would pull or twist one her hair when she was mad and non-verbal(she's autistic). So I spray her hair and brush it into a pony tail or any other style. Even when I use the ouchy brushes as she calls them she doesn't cry half as much as if I go without this stuff. It detangles, smoothes and smells great. I like that it sprays and I can lock the sprizter so it won't spill or get sprayed by accident when packed in her overnight bags. Try this, you won't be disappointed!

This worked pretty good from what I remember. I was thinking about tryin to find it again for my 6 yr old daughter's hair (I used it on mine before she was born). I just wish the scent was different or they had multipule scents to choose from.

I use this as a styling product rather than for its detangling properties. I have extremely sensitive, reactive skin, which includes my scalp, and although I absolutely LOVE HE hair products, they inevitably make my scalp break out. I realize that California Baby Calming De-Tangling spray is for children, but it works for me as a styling lotion which I apply to wet hair before I blow dry. (Think Bumbe & Bumble Styling Lotion....) It smells great--like an earthy lavender--and seems to provide some volume for my short, bobbed, highlighted hair. It doesn't build up at all, and is affordable enough to use amply.
