I have acne and PIH scars that i am waiting to fade, i bought this product because i was hoping it would help my PIH scars and help the skin turn over more quickly. The active ingredient is glycolic acid, which after much internet searching i found out it contained about 8-10% which is the norm for non prescription products, higher amounts are used in derm offices for chemical peels. Anyways, instead of using this products just once a day, i begain using it 2x a day to hopefully encourage more skin turnover since i cant afford to go get chemical peels done professionally. Using it twice a day has helped my skin slightly, the spots are lightening, and my skin is more glowing, however its still not enough since my skin is more damaged than the norm. Because of this, I purchased a higher concentration of glycolic acid for "at home peels" (about 30% which i will also slightly dilute) to use bimonthly, and in between those treatments i use this olay night elixir, and both together have helped clear up my skin and my uneven skin tone so much. Its not a miracle worker, but i think if you have only slightly uneven skin, or dull skin and just want it to glow it will be perfect. I will repurchase the product, even tho its not the best, its a pretty good quality

I love this product. I initially bought it to control my acne but it doesn't really treat pimples but does prevent cystic ones from forming. My main reason for keeping it is that it makes my face glow. I wanted to make sure it was this product that was giving me that healthy glow so I stopped using it for three days and what a horrible three days; my skin looked dead and dull. I applied it back on the fourth day and my skin looked bright and amazing again. I paid $22 at my local grocery store and this was 10 months ago. It lasts a long time, you only need one pump but I sometimes use two pumps because I like applying it on my neck. Oh and the first month I used it I didn't see results, it was on the fifth week it started working, so don't give up! FYI I have acne on my cheeks along with scars on the cheeks and chin. I have an incredibly oily T-zone and dry patches where the acne is located. I will repurchase.

with the mixed reviews i thought i might give this a try..i have combination skin which leans more on the oily side..a pimple on those time of the month..im am fair skinned..freckle prone :-) after my first week of use didn`t see much difference .might as well use ,since its an expensive drugstore brand, it after the second week a friend of mine noticed how smooth and dewy my skin looks..you know like i look fresh..and she asked me what i use..told her abt this olay stuff..btw i have the complete set..and just yesterday another friend said my skin would pass for a 28 y.o...im 35 :-) ...got some more compliments after that...will definitely use this again..and will send some to my girlfriends..PS..i tried using it on my neck..bad idea..my neck was red all over..so i`ll just stick this to my face..anyway all in all..nice product...effective..and worth the price..i just use this at night and my 1st bottle is still half full..been using this for 3mos now..need to use sunblock in the morning though..

This is a great product for my skin. I have been using it for only 4 nights, but I already see a difference. This has made my skin softer, smoother, and feel less dry. My skin appears to be looking clearer. I have combination skin (oily t-zone and normal everywhere else), but lately my skin has been on the drier side. The flakes that I had before using this are completely gone and I also notice that my tzone is a lot less oily. For around $25, this is a great nightly treatment. I will definitely be repurchasing!

I used this nightly under night moisturizer (Estée Lauder) and saw no difference. Kept trying for about a month, zero change from just using the moisturizer. No results for my skin, period. Switched to Philosophy Miracle Worker serum, far superior product and actually feels good when applied. The Olay was a little sticky when applied.

This product is quite good just bought it and just tried 3 days ago. The result is quite good, skin more glowing after mix it with other lotion or essence. Hope my skin become better. Just want to get rid my acne peoblem and black spot

I have always had such finicky skin, it clogs easy and is flaky. Plus I have sun damage. Both the clogs and flakiness drive me crazy. I want smooth skin with out the hassle of babying it all the time. Especially after I put on my base.

I have been using this glycolic elixer for 10 days. I really, really like it. My clogs are smaller and smaller and not refilling!!!! The lines are smother and most greatful of all, no flakiness !!!!!!!!! I use 2 pumps before bed, it's very moisturizing and comfortable on my face and neck.

I am hoping this continues with the good results, I am very happy with it so far !!!! Wished I had bought it sooner. The price scared me away, but I was wrong it is a beautiful product!!!!

Update: been using faithfully every night since I purchased. I really recommend it. My clogs are truly less and if I do get some they are very small. It has totally gotten rid of my flakys. Nothing ever has done this before. I have so many other moisturizers now, that just sit there. I will not use them again. My pores are smaller too, I am very happy I found this product, really got rid of my major skin issues.

I've only used it for 3 nights consecutively and my skin has become much smoother. I've noticed slight lightening of my acne scars and I haven't broken out due to this product. The glitters in the products don't bother me. But I have no idea why it's there though. Quite expensive for a drugstore product. But since I only use 1 pump for my face and neck, I guess it'll last me a long time. Can't tell if it would work as well long term though.

I'm a huge fan and junkie for chemical exfoliants. I saw this item reviewed and recommended by Paula Begoun on the "Best Products - AHA Exfoliants." Olay's elixir contains 8-10% glycolic acid, antioxidants, and both cell-communicating and skin-repairing ingredients. I've already started on my second bottle and absolutely love the results I get. My skin is combination, often prone to dry flaky patches and easily clogged huge pores on my t-zone. This elixir delivers as my pores are clean and small with the overall skin texture being smooth & flake-free. I've had no problems with irritation or sensitivities and even use this product around my eyes. Additionally the packaging is great as it has a pump. Two pumps is enough product to cover my face and neck.

I just reviewed the Olay Regenerist Cleansing Cloths, and now I'm on to this. I've been using this line for about a month now and the results are amazing.
I have a very fair, Rosacea-plagued complexion (not bad alcoholic rosacea, just redness) and it's flipping HOT in Florida so my skin is aggravated on a daily basis. This product calms it down so much overnight that when I wake up, the redness has almost disappeared. I only use on squirt, anything more and it takes forever to soak in. I use it all over my face, even under my eyes, after I use the eye roller product. My skin is so smooth and so even in the morning it looks like I bought a new face. Best product I think I've ever used on my skin.

I'm pretty impressed by this. I was looking for a new night time moisturizer and came across this. I used to use ziana, but it is too harsh for my skin. I only use it on breakouts. This does what the ziana did for my skin without the side effects. It has even diminished the fine lines on my forehead. One thing I do not understand is why did they have to put glitter in it? Kind of silly....

I was skeptical of this product when I picked it up at my drugstore. But after having used it for the past three nights, I have to say that it is nothing short of sensational!

First of all, when I started using it, I was experiencing an acne breakout on my cheek and chin, caused by some makeup that I failed to completely remove before sleep. I cleansed my face and applied it before bed. The first morning I woke up, I really saw my skin looking brighter.

By the time of the third morning, I noticed my skin feeling softer, smoother and hydrated. This product really does work and it works better than any night cream I've used, including my beloved Oil of Olay Night Cream.

It is pricy, but it is well worth it. Being a "woman of a certain age," I'm now learning to pay more attention to my skin care. This product is a wonderful start.

I find that for me, the Olay treatments, creams and sunscreens work better for me than their cleansers.

But I love this product and highly recommend it. I can't wait to see how awesome my skin is after a few weeks!

Been using this nightly for weeks-gone thru 1/2 the bottle. I see no change in dark spots. As it's pricey for ds product, I'm not impressed.

Am making a mental note to update this review after I use this product a little longer, but so far so good. I'll be turning 30yrs old & have oily (&sometimes also acne/clogged pore prone) skin. 2x of using this at night & woke up w/ GLOWING skin! Yes, this is a prod. w/ AHA (glycolic acid) which is why I got it. Was looking to try something new (had previously used Alpha Hydrox) <- had positive results w/it, but it became a bit difficult to find after I moved last year (may'11) -my new local riteaid doesn't carry it so I'd have to drive a lil further or order online. But my new local riteaid DOES have this Olay prod. & I'm smitten! I did notice in the container what LOOKED like glitter/sparkles? (as other reviewers mentioned) but after applied, my face doesn't look glittery(definately a plus Lol) So NOW I have my fingers crossed for no breakouts from this product (the ingredient list looks pretty safe but ya never knw!) Will update soon
UPDATE 9/3/12
I'm still definately happy with my Olay purchase - 5 lippies all the way! I added this product into my skincare routine, using it several times a week (along with an AHA toner as well) has greatly helped my skins overall clarity (and some clogged pores too!)
I still notice the glitter at the bottom of the bottle when I tip it over but have NOT noticed any glitter on my face, ever. STILL loving the pump bottle (we all love pump bottles right? ;D) & definately loving the results the most :) -I'll definately repurchase

This product is AHA-based (glycolic acid is one of the first ingredients) so I was pleasantly surprised to find that it did what it promised - I use this before bed and wake up with relatively even, low-oil skin. It usually helps prevent breakouts for me at night, and helps cool off existing ones.

The reason why I've given the olay elixir 4 stars (instead of 5) is that I have been using it for 5days only and I'm not sure whether the excellent result will keep up with time.
No side effects whatsover till now.
I have combination skin, no problems apart from age related issues like wrinkles (but little for my age).
I have always had glowing skin and lately, sadly, it looked dull, dehydrated. Maybe also owing to the harsh cold.
The texture is fantastic: light and airy. I must admit the decent glitter doesn't bother me and, once applied, I don't even notice it. You just need one pump for face and neck and it glides on beautifully. Not that sticky and, in any case, only the moment you apply it.
On waking up my skin feels smooth and hydrated, looks supple and glowing.
I haven't used foundation for over 20years (don't like the fact that it changes my skin color and I hate having a layer on my face) and now it would be a pity to cover the nice glow with foundation. Concealer here and there, a superlight layer of transparent powder, liquid blush, eyes and mouth make up: soft touch for the day and I dare more for the evening. And that's it!

This product has worked WONDERS for my skin. I have had it almost a week now and every morning, I wake up to clearer, brighter, smoother, skin that is GLOWING!

I decided to start an Olay Regenerist regimen due to a problem with milia I have had for a couple years now. This, combined with other Regenerist products, has been the only way to get the milia gone for me.

Very gentle exfoliation. I generally use a heavy night cream before bed, so I was worried about not having enough moisture. This serum not only exfoliates, but moisturizes. There was no burning or discomfort as is common with anti-aging products and my skin did not feel a bit tight.

I am addicted and would HIGHLY recommend this product!

Let me give u a little background: I used to have beautiful glowing skin, I did not break out in my teenage years! Even some of my classmates were jealous of my beautiful skin, then when I go to second year of college and got a bf and was working at the same time, my skin was going crazy under stress, I started breaking out more and more. I was so devastated and was always in search for products that will help with my acne but nothing works. So one day I bumped into this product when they have it on sale at costco and I started using it in August 2011, my skin started to clear up really fast, the post acne marks were fading and I was really happy with the results, I was so happy that I even stocked up on this (I bought 5 of them I still have 2 bottles) because I was afraid that they would discontinue this (it happened to me before with Neutrogena healthy skin lotion, I was heartbroken and running lose looking for another HG for a while), but as I was using it, like other reviewers mentioned, I noticed little bumps on my cheeks, they were not cystic acnes, they were not too visible, but when I wash my face with soap I could definitely feel it, so I thought the white heads could be due to this lotion, and I stopped using it, and I noticed those little bumps started to go away gradually, so now I'm not using it anymore cause I feel that the acne scars will fade eventually with good nutrition and sunscreen but the thought of having clog pores eventually leading to acnes keep me from using this again. Anyway, it was working at first and helped me gain back my self esteem after my face was invaded by episodes of horrible acnes

wow! i'm amazed at how much I love this product.

i've been on the hunt for the 'perfect' night cream. most of the ones i've tried have made my skin too greasy or broke me out.

This elixir has actually cleared up my acne - no joke. This works better than any prescribed acne medication from my derm. I've been on acne meds since i was 12 (so...going on 18 years now? yikes!) and I'm stoked that this product has made a world of difference with my skin.

I can also tell that the few wrinkles I have are fading noticeably.

I use this in combination with the regenerist serum and I'm 100% satisfied with this purchase. Even though it's a pricey DS product, it's a superb product.
