I like this primer, I have it in the nude color and it is very transparent which is good because that makes it not too dark for my skin. It applies smoothly and feels great.

primers are expensive. no matter the brand, the primer always seems to be far more than even the foundation. physicians formula isn't cheap, but they often have sales that make it well worth it if you find a product that works well for you. PF doesn't have too many of those for me.
that being said, this is great. i got it 40% off at ulta which made is around 7 bucks, completely reasonable for a primer, especially this brand. the texture is wonderful, the little bit of coverage is provides exceeds most primers, and it makes skin silky soft. i havent tried a primer that also claims to correct more than large pores, so i was pleasantly surprised when i saw that it really did subtlety even out my skin tone and wake my skin up a little. also, it made my foundation go on beautifully and last longer than ever.
the package sucks, PF's always do. figure that going in and you wont be let down. use a finger, sponge, brush, who cares? it's what is inside that is great!

Was looking for a primer to fill in my large pores and saw this on sale at Target for $6. But like other people have said, the click pen brush applicator is not good! Uneven application and lots of product still in the brush. The nude color was too light for me, so made me look pale and ashy. I have oily skin naturally and this primer did not help much... Also, it smells bad. Almost like a plastic. But it did improve the appearance of my pores a little, even though it made my skin oily after about 3-4 hours. I won't be buying this again.

I've been looking for a primer with a pure mineral/non-chemical sunscreen of at least spf 15, and this one fits the bill. I've been using the NUDE shade, and fortunately, it's colorless on my skin- I can't see it at all after I've applied it. It has a nice, fluid texture which makes it easy to apply. It also works well with my powder foundation (Stila IPF) which is a must (other primers have not worked under IPF). As far as the brush goes..........I used a pair of pliers and got a firm grip on it......then tore it out. It pretty much came out in one piece. Now I just hold the bottle upside-down and click some out into a little jar or my palm, and apply with my fingers. This stuff works pretty well just as a facial sunscreen as well. Will purchase again.

Overall, this primer is OK (I've been using the Nude shade). If applied lightly, this is a fairly good primer that minimizes the appearance of large pores and blotchy skin; I also get more wear time out of my foundations.

I find that this primer is a bit too thick and cakey if I put on enough to get adequate sun protection, so I've been wearing it with other sunscreen-containing products. Also, the brush applicator is horrible! I'm not a fan of click-pen applicators in general, and this one is especially poorly designed and messy. I'd be much happier with this product if it came with a pump or in a squeeze tube, and I won't purchase again unless the packaging is improved.

$11 at CVS. however I only buy Physicians formula when they have their deals "spend $10 and get $7 back" *note* sometime this product can be find at the dollar store.

Have been using this for 5 yrs now

I find it kind of expensive (considering how much product you get) I hate the packagaing, i find it unsanitary, and I never know how much comes out, you kinda have to eyeball it. Also you can never tell how much you have left in the package.

I am a college student who is studying art and film, so I dont have the money to be spending too much on a primer. I also find that all primers does basically the same thing and if you look at the ingredients most highend and drugstore basically have all the same ingredients....

I like that this primer is actually talc free... I have noticed that Talc is the main reason behind my breakouts. I also Like the fact that this has SPF of 15, which is great for indoors (I suggest a higer SPF if you are an outdoor girl)

When the primer is applied on It makes your skin 2 shades lighter than it actually is. (wait about 3-5 mins) basically when its dry it goes back to your natural skin tone. I also like the fact that it tones down all my red spots and gives me a dewy apparenence.

i usually wear this with my powder foundation or my BB cream then I walk out the door....

I can't really tell if your makeup actually stays on all day, but i know that it reduces MU transfer.

I only buy this item when theres a CVS deal going on, other than that I would never pay 10.99 + tax for this product.

At first when i tried this i thought it was okay wasn't too impressed with this like how i am with other PF makeup. It was ten bucks when i got it at target which isn't too bad. I have combination skin and this made me get really oily on the sides of my nose everytime i would wear it which i thought was really weird and had like a werid crayon scent to it too. I hate how there is brush with the primer . I will not be repurchasing kind of waste of money.

I was highly satisfied with PF mineral pressed powder foundation a few years ago, but I stopped buying when I switched over to all natural products (it contained parabens). So I was in Ulta the other day and I needed a foundation type of product - I never needed to use foundation before but lately I'm brekaing out like crazy. I always just use PF bamboo finishing powder but lately I need more coverage. So I saw this and read the ingredient label and there wasn't anything too alarming in it, and I was so glad because I really wanted to try it. I gave it a 4 because I was hoping for a little more coverage, but layered with the bamboo powder, my skin is definitely evened out and the blemishes are more covered. I did notice it makes my powder go on more evenly and stay on. I got it in nude and it does a good job evening out my pink toned pale skin. It is pricey for only half an ounce. I totally understand about the brush applicator, but I've used it a few times with just the brush and it worked fine, just like a foundation brush. Overall I am satisfied but I won't ever buy it not on sale or without an ulta coupon.

I have tried several primers, BE, l'oreal and MAC. However, this is my FAVORITE one! It makes my makeup last and it covers up my acne scars. It's an excellent primer. However, the container is a nightmare!!! I have had 3 of this, 2/3 have stopped working after 2 uses or so. I twist and twist and nothing comes out! It's frustrating. A simple pump would do the trick, anything but this twisting thing...Great product! I hope PF will actually improve this product just by changing the packaging.

When I first tried to get it to work, it was an annoying process. Twisting until my fingers were numb, weren't looking very good for this product. However, after I actually was able to get the primer out of the package, it was wonderful. At first the green did make my face look a ghastly white, which is hard to do, considering how pale I already am. BUT, lone behold after I applied my foundation on top of it. I was amazed. My complexion is easily redden, but by using this product I looked an wonderful porcelain all day. It helped my other makeup set and last. Which is pretty wonderful, seeing as I'm an active teen which using means makeup sweats off. I will never not use this product.

p.s. Physicans please make your packaging easier to use.

This stuff is mediocre as a primer but is my HG sunscreen right now. The nude is just a tad orange so I tend to mix in a bit of standard mineral sunscreen to lighten it but reading below, it looks like the green primer can also do Good Things for the shade of this stuff.

I recommend this for people who are about to throw in the towel with mineral sunscreen or sunscreen in general. USE THIS STUFF. It's definitely better than nothing, is not greasy or whitening, and goes on sale at ulta and CVS very regularly.

I've never tried a primer before, but this was definitely a good first experience!

My usual makeup generally has no problems lasting, so I really only wanted something to even out my skin a little bit before I put on foundation and concealer. This did an excellent job!

I absolutely hated the packaging though. You have to click the icky brush part way too many times to get enough product out. Also, it's a little bit pricy for only half an ounce.

I'm reviewing the nude version. I've never used a primer before so I was nervous about this. Obviously no one uses the applicator brush and it's annoying it can't be removed but the product itself works really well. I've been using for about a month now and I notice that when I don't use the primer my makeup coverage isn't as good and it doesn't stay on all day like it does when I use the primer. You do need to wait a few minutes for it to dry on your skin before you put anything else on but it's worth the time. I like this product a lot and from now on will always use a primer. I have acne prone skin and scarring from cystic acne and it hides stuff really well without looking too cakey. I like!

This great product really needs to be in a pump bottle! I have the green version and it really tones down my redness--it doesn't completely even my skin, but it does tone it down noticeably and give it a nice smooth look. You don't see the green when it dries, you just see nice skin! It doesn't irritate my rosacea. The sunscreen ingredients are zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. I've worn it alone and under BB Luminous Moisturizing Foundation and it works equally well. The only complaint I have about this product is the lousy packaging! The brush traps the product and bacteria. Also, the product gets dried up in the brush so every time I use it I have to wash off the brush. The brush is useless-I twist to get some product in the brush, swipe my finger through the brush to pick up the product, then apply with my fingers. I will repurchase in spite of the lousy packaging, but this would be a 5-star product if it were in a pump bottle or squeeze tube.

edit: I am knocking this down to 1 because the lousy brush came off when I was washing it. Now the product just squeezes out of a little needle and pools up in the dispenser, making a wasteful, unsanitary mess. Because of this product's awful packaging I will NOT repurchase!

I am reviewing the NUDE and GREEN shades of this primer. I have very fair skin. The nude color, on it's own, was too peachy for me. So I tried the green version, but it was slightly ghastly-looking. It does indeed dull redness, DULL being the key word. It really drains the life from your complexion. However, I found that mixing the two shades together formed a beautiful sheer fair shade. My skin looked brighter and smoother. I apply this with the Ecotools foundation brush (more on application below).

The packaging, what a joke! Physician's Formula is crazy for the gimmicky packaging (correcting pebbles, anyone? who's idea was that?). Here's what I recommend: rip out the brush (easy to do with a pair of pliers), and dispense the product into an empty foundation bottle from another line. This makes application a lot simpler, and you can pre-mix the colors (green, nude and pink) to create a custom shade for your complexion.

The sunscreen has the Skin Cancer Foundation seal of recommendation. Yay for sunscreen! This is the perfect product for anyone with oily, acne-prone skin who finds most mineral sunscreen formulas to be too emollient and occlusive. The sheerness of the shades means that you can apply A LOT of product and still look quite natural. This is a good thing, because generous application is essential to getting the full SPF stated on the label.

As for price, this stuff is deceptively expensive. You're only getting half an ounce of product. Mostly what you're paying for is the stupid unhygienic packaging, which you don't want anyway. Grrrr! Oh well, it's still a bargain compared to department store brands.

The bottom line: mix and match, give it a try!

Got the one in pink which was supose to highlight and correct the skin.Bought it for $10 at walmart.I used this a week and its really good because it didn't make my skin oily it made it really smooth and made my foundation stay longer and look better. However it broke me out horribly on my forehead!which is why i would never buy this again.and the packaging of it is stupid because it leaks to much.If you don't have senstive skin and need a primer then you should get this.

Purchased in "Pink Highlighter" Love so far! Great as base for foundation or used alone. Evens out my skin tone, works great on eyelids prior to liquid liner. No unpleasant smell or feel. Not heavy. So far, no issue with my sensitive skin. I was feeling my foundation color, which worked wonderful in winter, was a bit light for the warmer months, but with this underneath it, I look dewy and healthy. I'm not a fan of the packaging though, it's a twist up into brush applicator type and I have had some difficulty controlling the amt of product dispensed (sometimes it seems like none will come out at all! Then it comes rushing >:-( However, I like it, though it's the first face primer I've ever used. The consistency seems very runny, but it smooths on nice and even. Don't let the pink worry you, I have very fair skin but it doesn't leave a pink cast on my face at all, just a even healthy glow. I didn't even bother with foundation or blush today. I've only been using for two days, so if I experience any skin issues, I'll update.

If you actually found this product you probably really want to get this, So i have the most uneven skin you have ever seen. Freckles, dry spots, light spots, redness everywhere and this really didnt do anything for any of that. I found that this didnt do ANYTHING if you use any brush with it. I had to use a puff thingy, and really all it does is give you a soft really white layer (and it even looked white on my white as white can be skin!! so if your darker, i would never ever recommend even trying this... )of powder on your face. I use a primer 24/7 so i didnt notice if this made my makeup last longer. But it did accentuate my dry spots for sure.
