Got the RED chunky (NOT the one with fine and chunky mixed together). At first I was really worried that even one coat would never dry. But with some OPI DRI DROPS, success! I have the glitziest nails for holidays (oh hello, Valentine's day, nice of you to approach)!
Hope the product wears well aka doesn't chip like mad.
Only downfall (IMO) is that the glitter is quite sparse, I've had to put on four coats. But hey, I'm blinging like no body's business for sure!

I LOVE these glitter nail polishes. It's not your average glitter, it's massive chunky glitters, seriously like little gems in every bottle!
As with any glitter polish, they can be a little difficult to work with and remove, but the outcome is just so gorgeous and eye-catching. I definitely want more of them. I can imagine layering different colors would just be so gorgeous!

Awesome glitter polish, I bought this because I didn't want to spend the $$$ on the Deborah Lippmann 'Happy Birthday' that everyone loves so much.
The best part of this polish is that it makes a great layering coat when sandwiched between two coats of jelly polish. I also wore this over black for NYE and it looked really cool.
People say it's difficult to remove, which it is if you don't know what you're doing. Either use the Elmer's glue base coat trick (if you don't know, Google it), or the foil method. Either way, taking off the polish only takes a few minutes.

Pretty and fun on its own, or on top of another shade. Milani n/p is inexpensive but I still wait for sales since I usually stock up. I like to see the glitter "gems" so it helps that the brush is on the smaller side and doesn't lay them all down at once. I would repurchase:)

I adore this nail polish! I believe it came out before Happy Birthday.. Though the two are very similar. I love how fast this dries (as with most glitters) it wears very well-I've had it on for 2weeks on my toes in the past. If you use 2 coats you will get nice coverage compared to other standard glitter polishes. Overall one of my favs, and one of two that I own a backup of..

As many others have said, this is a GOOD, CHEAP semi-dupe for Happy Birthday or Rainbow Connection. Mine was an impulse buy since it was the last one in stock, but I'm glad I found it and picked it up. No major issues with it-- it doesn't wear super long but I change out mani's constantly anyways.

I love glitter so I love this. I ALWAYS get compliments on my nails when I wear it. The only downfall is that it chips off in huge chunks shortly after applying it. I would still buy it again though, it is worth the constant reapplying.

I just bought this last night. I was looking at a blog for nail art and the blogger had glittered tips using a different dupe for DL's Happy Birthday. Apparently, there's a Wet N Wild dupe, but I couldn't find it at Target, luckily I saw Milani's version and I snagged it. For some reason it took me 15 minutes to open the bottle. I don't know if it was the glitter that makes the cap stick, but it was really hard to get it open! I used the color to create glittered tips and I used a dark base. It looks great.

I adore this fun nail polish! Like others have mentioned Milani's Jewel FX Gems is a dupe for several higher end nail polishes. I actually prefer it to the Sephora's OPI Spark-tacular, since the glitter is bigger on the Milani's version. So many different ways to wear this polish. You can wear it on its own and over an array of several colors. I also love that you can build this color up, or actually just build up layers of glitter. So much fun on you fingertips :)

I hardly write reviews, but I thought this nail polish was so neat! I have a friend who had the DL "Happy Birthday" and this is an excellent dupe, in fact, this covers a bit better than the DL brand IMO. I had initially bought this to go over a number of nail polishes, as it would look adorable over so many colors, but I wanted to pack several coats onto my nail to see what the overall effect would be. I posted the pic. Would make a fun beach pedicure! I currently have this on my toe nails, with an overall fuchsia polish with a couple of coats of this on the tips, looks really cute! I went to my second Walgreens today and found one lowly bottle hidden behind another glittery shade, I will repurchase this if I can find it again!

Bought this because I heard it was a dupe for Deborah Lippman's "Happy Birthday" n/p. I'm in love with this nail polish. I've worn it a few times already, over a red, black and white. Love it over all of them!

This is a great dupe for Deborah Lippman's Happy Birthday as well as the cheaper dupe (Sephora by OPI has a dupe of DL's Happy Birthday). You can get great coverage in two coats and it's best worn over another nail polish color. Like all glitter nail polishes, it will be tougher to remove. While I love the effect this polish gives, I've noticed that this stains my nail bed yellow. I use a base coat and two coats of polish before I apply this, and I still notice that my nail beds are stained. That is disappointing and causes me to reach for this less often. Maybe I got a defective bottle? I don't know. This is still so pretty, though.
Deborah Lippman, Happy Birthday: $24
Sephora by OPI, Spark-tacular: $9.50
Milani Jewel FX, Gems: $3.99 - 4.99
I've also read about Claire's and Ulta having a dupe for DL's Happy Birthday as well, so ya'll might want to check those out if you can't find this.

This is beautiful but it looks best over another Polish not on its own like the picture above.

Like rainbow glitter for your nails! This was an impulse buy @ duane reade. I was worried abt coverage but I'm so happy I got this. All it took was 2 thick coats for my toes to have a fiesta vibe (w/ almost no no glitter areas) & make me happy! This is my new favorite "crazy" np (I usually do clear or neutral american manicures). I love this!

I bought this before I had read any reviews or had heard of the supposed duplicity to Lippman Happy Birthday. As soon as I saw it I was just like WOW! I immediately swiped 2 coats on top of some random pale gold polish I had on and it looked so fun! Like a party on your nails! I got a lot of compliments on it and am in LOVE. It does require 3 coats for virtual opacity, but I honestly think this looks great layered over anything. The version I have has purple glitter in it, which I understand earlier versions didn't. I haven't seen HB in person, but after looking at swatches online, I can honestly say that Gems is infinitely prettier! I got this for $4 at Target and my friend and I snagged the last 2 bottles. Must seek out and find another. This stuff is epic, imo!

Milani polishes have yet to disappoint me. Gems wears very well for a glitter polish (only one chip after three days). I got this because it is a dupe for Lippmann's Happy Birthday... I would have paid more to have HB shipped than I did for my bottle of Gems. It looks amazing, I can't stop staring at my nails!

As everyone has already noted, this is a pretty convincing dupe of Deborah Lippman's "Happy Birthday" polish. There are two key differences between Happy Birthday and Gems, however, which are:
-Happy Birthday contains pink glitter (the later batches of Gems has pink glitter as well, but if you bought a bottle in 2010 yours may not)
-Gems has only large and small hexagonal glitter, whereas Happy Birthday has large hex glitter and small square glitter
Gems also seems to have more red glitter than Happy Birthday, which has led to many reviewers remarking on it's "Christmas-y" feel, whereas Happy Birthday has much more silver.
However, I've devised a nefarious plot to make this already-passable Lippman clone even more so. To make Gems even more Happy Birthday-esque, apply a silver foil polish, and then top with 3 coats of Gems. The sequins in Gems will mostly cover your nail, but the silver foil will shine through the inevitable bald spots, and change the overall tone of the polish to be more silver-y.
Alternatively, you can also use this to create a dupe of Deborah Lippman "Glitter in the Air" by mixing it with a sheer pale blue polish.

Finally!!! I had been ogling Deborah Lippman's "Happy Birthday" polish since it came out, but could not justify spending $20 on glitter nail polish (or any polish for that matter). I read on a blog that Milani "Gems" is a near dupe, and I've been searching for it for months. I finally found one (the last one on the shelf!) and snatched it up!
I love it! It's a party on my nails, and it goes well over any color polish or even alone. The formula is okay, it doesn't glide on as evenly as I would like, but who cares? Love it!!

This is the craziest polish ever - I love it! I like layering it over a white polish, and like one of the previous reviewers said, it really is a party on your nails. I love all the multicolored glitters that come in various shapes and sizes.. it's so hard to find this in stock, so if you come across it GRAB IT.
