I'm not a fan. Zoya's Gemma looks absolutely beautiful and unique in the bottle, but every other aspect of this polish is far from it. It's sheer and somewhat streaky. It takes 3 coats to get it fully opaque. However, I could look past all of that if it didn't chip so easily. It's been on my nails for 24 hours and I've got a huge chips already on my thumbs and index fingers and tip wear on all of the other ones. Absolutely horrible. The only thing saving this from 1 star and my garbage can is the color. I expected much more from a name brand like Zoya and this probably won't get much use.

This is a dusty green sage with quirky purplish shimmer. The shimmer is more apparent in the bottle than on the nail, yet I don't mind the subtlety of it - the shimmer softens it a bit and makes it look less boogerish :-) I actually like the color quite a bit.
But like others have pointed out, it was rather streaky in the application and required at least three coats to become opaque. And then it took forever to dry. I waited over an hour before heading to bed after finishing up with the paint job, and woke up with dent marks all over, and this is with a 'fast drying' TC added. Not really worth full price, but I got this on sale so I'll keep it and try it out again another time.

This is like a military green with yellow undertones and fusia and teal shimmer. I went 3 coats before this went opaque. It is a unique polish color but, I like it. It's a one of a kind color.

When I bought this polish, I was drawn in by the unusual cool-toned murky green...and that famous bluish-pink shimmer! On the nail the color is pretty enough: I've worn it twice now and the first time the shimmer was more visible (or maybe the weather was simply more sunny) and it gave the green a really interesting misty quality. On my cool olive toned skin it looks really flattering. However, both times the application was streaky and sheer: it needed three coats to be opaque. Also, unlike most other Zoyas I've tried, it took forever to dry, and in the end I still ended up with bubbles and dent marks. I first tried it over Zoya's Ridge-filler base coat, and then with no base coat at all, and the results were just as bad. Maybe next time I will try to thin it a little and see if the results are better, but as it is, it's a disappointing polish.

This is a very unusual color, a dusty soft grey green. Don't count on the shimmer at all, but it's a semi-jellyish consistency so looks soft and glossy. It's a discreet way to be unconventional, a change from taupe. I like it a lot!

Gemma is a very unique olivey-jade green with a subtle blue/pink/purple duochrome shimmer. I needed two coats for opaque coverage. My main complaint about this is that the duochrome is TOO subtle, it doesn't do well in indoor lighting, but it is really beautiful in the sun. I wouldn't repurchase simply because I like trying new colors.

Picked up Gemma last night and was so excited! Love the shade of green, and the pink/purple shimmer put me over the edge and made me purchase it. Like other said, one coat and it looks cruddy. Two, it was a bit better. Needed three for full opacity. The formula was a bit watery, but still workable. Needed a bit more cleanup than normal.
While the green is a nice change of pace, I was very disappointed that the shimmer was so subtle. It was barely visible, even in direct sunlight.
Unfortunately this is one that is going right into my swap basket.

Gemma is definitely a unique color. The mix of olive/army green and pink/purple shimmer is very interesting, and very pretty! I really wish the shimmer would show up more on the nail though. It's there, but it's quite subtle. It needed two coats for full coverage. While I like Gemma, it's not something I'd spend money on again because of the too subtle shimmer.

I wanted to like this polish so much, because it's gorgeous in the bottle. It was initially my favorite of Zoya's Intimates, but the color doesn't work with my skin tone. The green looks a bit sickly on me, and the duochrome couldn't save it.
The formula is great - applies evenly and opaque in two coats. It's just not my color, much as I wish it was.

I just love this color and I am always so impressed with zoya polish. I am pretty terrible at painting my nails but with zoya its much easier to get a lasting smooth finish. I will buy again.

Love Gemma! If you're worried about using green nail polish, this is an excellent one to try - not too obnoxious or bright, and just the right amount of interest! The violet shimmer is so pretty and subtle. I only needed two coats to be satisfied. It went on really smooth like all Zoya's.

This is such a unique color it's like military green and then it has a purple undertones which is really neat. I like it a lot.

Gemma is a unique springy/olive green color. My biggest disappointment with this polish is that the pinkish shimmer seen in the bottle and in many MUAers photos did not translate to my nails. This polish is also kind of thin and sheer, I had some difficulty applying it evenly and it definitely required three coats for opacity. Overall, a nice polish if you don't mind the lacking shimmer and finicky application.

While I LOVE LOVE LOVE this color, the shimmer does show up on the nail - NOT as much as on their color swatches (because the top of their fake nail is FLAT! whose nails are flat at the top!?!) it really is exceptionally beautiful.
What I do not appreciate, however, is the fact that gemma takes 3 coats to cover. At 1 coat (as said before) it's puky. 2 coats is OK but a little patchy. 3 coats is enough for me thankyouverymuch!
So, while I love it (received as gift) I'm not sure if I'd repurchase if I run out. I also was able to franken a pretty nice substitute by mixing some zoya shawn with white and a purple/blue shimmer polish. TRY IT! You can hardly tell them apart and my FRANKEN has better coverage!!!!!! Just sayin...

This polish has the usual excellent Zoya formula, but it is SHEER. I needed four coats for opacity, and covering over chips a few days later was a major PITA.
The colour is gorgeous and unique AFAIK -- at one coat it's sort of pukey-looking, but at full strength it's a springy medium green with slight blue-violet shimmer. I would buy this again for the colour, but I wish it had more pigment.

This is probably the prettiest green nail polish I've ever had! This is a very neutral green color. This is a pretty springy-neutral green that has a lilac purple and possibly light silver duochrome to it. This is one of the most unique colors I've ever had. I purchased this and the new Zoya Caitlin from a seller on ebay. If there was an eyeshadow that looked like this - I can't even tell you how gorg that would be! I've uploaded pics - all photo credit to Temptalia.com!
EDIT: my only complaint about this is that you need 3 coats to make this look true to color.
