This is a thick, heavy, oil-based sugar scrub that comes in a tube. It's so thick (like almost solid) it's actually a bit tough to squeeze out, and the sugar granules are really big and don't seem to melt down much like they do in other scrubs (an upside for exfoliating).
However, I don't use it on my body. I actually hate this kind of product for shower or bath use. Yuck. Wayyy too thick and greasy - not to mention hazardous when it hits the bathtub floor.
Instead, I bought it based on another review elsewhere where it was recommended as a face cleanser. Seeing as how oil cleansers are all the rage right now I figured I'd give it a shot.
When I rinsed it off it left a really greasy residue on my face so I washed it off with my Trader Joe's SPA Face Wash (which I have reviewed here and which is a dupe of Jason Super-C Cleanser).
Lo and Behold, I found an absolute HG face cleansing combination. My skin is left dewy-soft (seriously, like a baby's bottom) and super clean and fresh-looking. It's exfoliated, but not stripped - and moisturized, but not greasy - and clean but still soft soft soft.
I have been a fan of Suki Lemongrass Exfoliating Cleanser but it costs a fortune so I wince a bit every time I use it. Using this scrub and the cheap-o TJ's cleanser (which is way too harsh to use on its own) has nearly the same effect (dare I say it's even better?) for a fraction of the price.
