I tried this cleanser after the sales representative insisted that it was the right fit for my skin, but after a couple of days I broke out in rashes! My face was puffy and red. This cleanser may have worked for others, but I must have been allergic to something else in the cleanser (possibly the saw palmetto?).
If you usually have sensitive skin when it comes to skincare, be careful with this cleanser!

This baby is awesome!

I got this in a set at the airport together with some samples, a tonic water and a scrub.
I also purchased a face cream in the same line

I have always had oily and acne prone skin. I´ve tried bio elements, clinique, lancome, dermalogica, md formulations etc and nothing has ever worked as well as this!
The smell is refreshing and makes me feel clean and awake.
Normally I would wash my face and head out and realize in 1 hour that my face is as oliy as a beach party... With this, NO! It kept me clear all day.
The packaging is hygenic and "non-breakable" so its good for travelling and ruff handeling in the shower.

Until the day they stop making this I will swear to it:-D

I started using this cleanser at night with my Clarisonic one week ago, and have been generally impressed. It has cleared up my oily/combo summer skin quite well, leaving it much less greasy in the morning than before. I'm not sure that I will be able to continue using it in the winter because my skin gets much drier on its own then, but I will definitely be keeping this as my go-to cleanser for warm humid weather! I also like that it is reasonably priced, foams up very nicely with my Clarisonic, is relatively "green" and natural, and leaves my skin feeling fresh. One warning - it has kind of a gross taste if some of the foam happens to get past your lips.

I tend to switch between this and the never a dull moment cleanser.. I find that this one cleans better than the other but I found my skin look clearer with the other!!! oh the dilemma! I might try this in the evening and the never a dull moment in the morning time.. which is probably better that way

Wow, this really takes of all the oil (any at all) from your skin. I think it's a bit too harsh for my combination/oily skin. I don't think I will be purchasing this. It also left my skin blotchy red - although I don't know if it is the cleanser or something else. It's not a bad product (it wasn't too drying), just too strong for me.

I got this for Christmas in a gift set. While most of the other products in the set are empty by now, this one is still almost full. I can only use the tinyest amount, because it foams A LOT and it takes forever to completely rinse it off. That might have something to do with the water where I live. Even when rinsed off thouroughly, it still makes my skin feel very tight.
Nonetheless is smells nice and seems to be a good cleanser for very oily skin.
My skin is combination and this cleanser really aggravates it and creates a lot of flaky skin around my nose and chin. I try to use it every now and then, but it just doesn't work for me. It's too soapy and too drying. I would recommend to get a tester first and see how it will affect your skin. I'm sure it's a good quality product, but it's not suitable for me at all.

This is a gentle cleanser with saliyclic acid that I use only in the mornings to help keep my pores clean on an every day basis. It doesn't work to keep me matte all day long (that is impossible with my skin in a climate as hot and humid as where I live) but it also isn't drying at all (on me) and personally it feels better when washed off than Checks and Balances did for me which actually made me feel like I was rinsing off cheap dollar store soap...! For whatever reason this cleanser works way better for me and since its sulfate free it is also not stripping your skin of oils/confusing the heck out of your sebum glands.

I've been using this for a while now, and it's been consistently good for my problematic skin. It's not perfect, but it breaks down oil and make my skin feel clean without over-drying. Another cleanser might get every last bit of stuff off my face, but those all tend to strip my skin dry. I just make sure to use Zero Oil toner afterward and that gently removes anything else left over, all without over-drying. And you can get every last drop of product out of the tube without a fight. I'll definitely keep re-purchasing, especially since other comparable cleansers are much pricier for less product.

I really love this face wash. It doesn`t really seem to reduce oil production ( as it claims to) but it does make my oily irritated skin calmer with less visible redness after using it for a while, so if you have oily skin AND use retin A, i`d recommend giving it a try. I don`t have acne or breakouts so I can`t attest to how much it it may help to alleviate those problems. It does have a very pleasant organic smell of herbal/ mint- not a strong perfumey scent ( the main reason I continue to repurchase, because I will spend more for anything with essential oils instead of synthetic fragrance.) Also, it doesn`t sting my eyes ( too much) when I use it to take off mascara.
I`m not sure I would recommend this product to people who are on a budget because it is rather pricey for a cleanser. Its gentle and does the job- but i`ve always considered it more of an aromatherapy luxury soap than anything else.
If you are willing to spend 20 dollars for a cleanser, here are some of the things that are good about it:

-It doesn`t leave your face feeling tight or stripped
-It calms your skin (and your mind)
-It smells wonderful
-It has NO:
parabens, synthetic fragrance, or synthetic color

( Fragrance is the most toxic ingredient in any product because it is an amalgamation of about 100 or more different chemicals that can be listed legally under the umbrella term "fragrance" and it does get absorbed systemically)

Three weeks ago I decided to completely switch up my skincare regimen so I purchased this cleanser, along with the toner and moisturiser from the same range. It really helps to keep the oil at bay. I used to get oily within 2 hours after washing my face, but this keeps me matte for at least 5 hours. When I do get oily eventually, there's only a thin layer of oil all over instead of an oil slick. I love the smell of the cleanser - really fresh and invigorating. It's really gentle as my skin does not feel tight after using it. I also love how easily it foams up. The cleanser didn't help to clear up my blackheads and the small bumps all over my face, but since I started using it, I have not gotten cystic acne even though I've been keeping late nights during exam period (and that tends to make me break out). Overall, this works pretty well for me, and I will probably repurchase.

The Origins lady wooed me into buying this product because she saw a few breakouts on my cheek. I bought because she said the secret ingredient (mint) was going to clear my skin. I tried it for 3 months and had to return it. It did tingle when I used it but it only made me breakout even more, after using it for 3 months and breaking months I realized this just wasn't for me. I wish it would have helped!

I bought Origins' Zero Oil Deep Pore Cleanser after reading that it helps minimize pore size and clear up blackheads - both of which are skin concerns of mine. While I have not noticed a difference in pore size or blackheads over the past 1-2 months I have used this cleanser (I wash my face with it twice daily), I saw remarkable results in terms of my adult acne. I have had breakouts since I was 12 years old, and nearing 30 I was still wrestling with breakouts. I have used the Proactiv system for the past few years, but despite some improvement I still had breakouts. Zero Oil, to my astonishment, was the missing factor in my routine. I now wash my face with Zero Oil, and follow up with Proactiv's Repairing Treatment (Clearisil with 10% benzoyl peroxide will also give you the same or better results as Proactiv, in my opinion). That's all I've needed to have perfectly clear skin for the first time in my life. I highly recommend this cleanser and I never plan to be without it from now on.

This is one of my go-to oily skin face washes, especially for the summer! When I lived in OH when the humidity would be almost 100% this face wash was a must! I love the minty smell and how it is a gel. My husband has oily skin and he too loves this face wash. A bottle would last 6 months.

I would have loved to love this product honestly. I made the mistake of going to origins to buy there zero oil line as I was going on a trip to Maui. My skin is horrible in humid climates...it gets oily and can breakout. So to take care of the shine and oil I decided to try there zero oil lotion and cleanser. Well i started to breakout in Maui after starting to use the product...ok...i saw this coming...i guess...i am have now been back for bout 2 weeks and my face is so bad. I maybe had a couple zits before all this...no joke...my skin was doing good. Now I have a bunch of white heads and some deep pimples. It sucks. This may work for others but for me it was a train wreck and will never use origin products again...sorry origins. At this point I am just trying to control my acne to no avail. UGH...so much for thinking ahead. SOS!!!

Ahh I do not know what to say about this product. I am somewhere in the middle and I just can't decide. Ok, so this product smells very very nice and refreshing. It does not use harsh chemicals, parabens, dyes, or any other toxic ingredients which is a bonus....but other than that, it does nothing.
It does not control sebum (oil) production. It does not control my breakouts like the lady in Origins said, and with all honesty I do not know if it is even cleaning my skin. I just wish I can love this product because it is clean and uses no harsh chemicals.

Pros:

-Smells nice
-Feels invigorating
-Nice packaging
-Uses no harsh chemicals or dyes! (This is a bonus for any product)

Cons:

-Does not control oil production
- 10 minutes after I use it my face starts looking shiny again
- Does not control breakouts
- I do not think it cleans the face well

Overall I will not repurchase. As much as I wanted to love this product for being all natural I just can't because who cares about having a product that is natural but does nothing to their face. I cannot even see a difference in my face and I have been using it for over 6 months

Oh wow I am surprised by the horrible reviews here! I love this cleanser! My combination and acne-prone skin has been really bothering me and this cleanser has clear it out quite a bit for me. I love the scent and how it makes my skin feel after washing. It's refreshing and keeps my skin fresh. It does not leave me feeling tight and all that. It's wonderful. Will keep repurchasing it.

I have heard a lot of good things and read a lot of good reviews on Origins product before I tried them. I have acne Prone, sensitive, & combination skin.
This cleanser is great. I like it as much as the biore ice fighting cleanser. It's very minty and refreshing when you use it. I have sensitive nose, so this cleanser was a bit strong on my smelling bud but other than that it works great. I would buy it again but because of the price, I probably go with biore.

I would post a picture of my tube, but I don't feel like digging in the trash. I truly wish the system would let me give this a "0".

I purchased Origins Zero Oil Deep Pore Cleanser with Saw Palmetto and Mint as a replacement for the now-discontinued Mint Wash.

My combination complexion was merely oily, with a slight propensity for breaking out, before using the Zero Oil cleanser.

Now, I not only have oily skin, but also oily skin with two large, deep pimples along with blackheads and whiteheads. This is not normal and the only new product I've used is the Zero Oil cleanser.

Not only am I dealing with the breakouts, my cheeks and forehead are now overly dry and flaky. The flakiness is occurring right where I usually apply the cleanser to start washing. And the more I use the cleanser, the worse my skin gets.

In addition, when the tube slipped out of my hand and hit the floor, the little plastic point inside the cap that keeps the product from clogging the opening broke off *into* the opening. I had to take scissors and poke through since the top can't be twisted off.

All-in-all, Origins Zero Oil Deep Pore Cleanser's performance was abysmal. I recommend staying far away from it.
