I loVe these colors together... Very day time use but u can make it smokey enough to use at night time to go out:)... The lighter 2 colors do take some building up.. But results are beautiful ... Overall love this quad, I am so glad I got it!!!

I was really disappointed!!! The glittery 2 colors are basically just glitter..... I'm not 10 anymore so that does not appeal to me, I gave thus quad 2 instead of 1 due to carbon... Carbon is good however do not get Any moisture in it as you will have to scratch back :-)

I bought this at the same time as I purchased Caviar Dreams as it satisfied my need for some darker colours but these were not as dark on the eye as I thought, the lady below who described this look as 'sepia contouring' was quite right, I am not the intended skintone - I am a light neutral (I'm not a MAC foundation wearer so I don't have that reference for you) - but this still gives such a beautifully subtle smokey eye. My boyfriend always compliments my eyes when I wear this quad so if all the colours were still available I would definitely repurchase - I can't even think of any dupes for Jaan or Vivah the colours are more unique than they may first appear.

I am not the intended skin tone for this NC20-NC15, but I absolutely love these colors. This, for me, is a neutral eye palette but not quite as pale as most neutral palettes are for me. The two lustre shades are beautiful and I experience no fallout and I do not find the too sheer. Honestly they are kinda perfect. I use the lighter shade from crease to brow, the darker lustre on my lid and the red brown shade in the crease and it looks natural and beautiful. I was not excited about carbon but I find I like it as a liner and it's not super black so I can use it on the outer v or crease if I want to darken things up. I really thought this would end up being a smokey eye palette but it's not. It's perfect for every day use. I think cool skin tones will hate this with a passion but neutrals and warms should give it a go. I'm very impressed with this palette and it's not a fussy one like I found caviar dreams to be. I do with this had a mirror so I could use it to put the palette on but I guess Mac is anti mirror on quads. Being a nars and becca user I am used to mirrored compacts. This collection is quite nice. I'd like to recommend the Gana and Sur blushes used together with the quad for a natural look. Everything it very buildable so it works on even me. Well done to Mickey Contracter for these colors. I did purchase Yash and another lipstick from this collection that is a satin but it's perm not LE. I can say those colors are great but I HATE the drying formula. Oh! It's Mocha lipstick. Anyway, I can't say I love the lipsticks solely because of the formula but if you are willing to fuss with lip balm a bunch, those are nice as well. As for the quad I highly recommend it. My husband kept complimenting me on my makeup today and how nice it looked and he's so over my makeup. Good purchase for warm toned neutral lovers.

the person below described this quad very well lol.
I really love it. my eye lids are darker than my face so i usually have to wear a paint pot or something so that my eyeshadows can look better, but i tried jaan without the pot all over my lid and under my browbone and it still looked so gorgeous!
I added saddle eyeshadow for the crease and i was good to go. nice and simple. allt these colors are so useful.

For reference, I'm a South Asian yellow-undertoned NC 37 - 40; uploaded an EOTD shot so you can see it.
This isn't as bright as I am used to wearing. I was afraid the redness would make me look too tired (which is my common complaint with plummy / brown palettes) but this has just the right tones to make it work.
The two new colours, Jaan and Vivah are sparkly; sometimes Mac's sparkles don't translate onto the eye, but these do. They are fairly sheer as well, yet still buildable; it doesn't have to be a sparklefest if you don't want it to be. There's no UD level of fall out, as these sparkles are much more subdued but there will be a little dusting here and there around the eye if you take a good hard look in the mirror.
Jaan is a pink-beige luster, great for the lid and the inner corners of eye. Not the best under-brow highlighter; Vivah is a mid-tone lustered brown, reminds me of my Mom's extra strong Chai with shimmer thrown in; good as a lid colour. Folie is excellent in the crease and Carbon is as documented in the past.
I wore Jaan on inner corner, Folie in crease, Vivah spread out between the two over the lid and waterlined (over Feline pencil) the bottom with carbon. My only complaint is I had to use an arsenal of brushes to translate this look; the 239 for the lustres, the 224 for Folie, the 217 to blend, a 212 equivalent for the inner-eye work. Maybe the 217 was overkill, but you definitely need at least the three brushes.
It initially looked muddy to me, but later on, I realized, it's more of like a sepia-contouring; gives this old world glamour, reminds me of my Mom's faded photographs from the 70s. I thought it'd be very contrived and in-your-face, but it's like a soft sweet smoked look, where it seems like your eyes are naturally this gorgeous.
The thing I really love about this palette is I didn't need anything else, shadow-wise, to make it work. I always line the top of my eyes with a dark colour (Dark Diversion in this case), and use a base underneath to a look last on my oily lids. Otherwise this quad is complete in itself, colourwise.
I suspect I'll dent the lustres before I hit Folie and Carbon. If it wasn't LE and I ran out, you'd bet I'd rebuy in a heartbeat.
