Petrol Black is a black based blue/purple duochrome, and in some lights you can even see a hint of green. It is a gorgeous colour, well worth £4.59. The packaging is of a similar size to sample jars, so are easily stored; they have a heavy feel which in my opinion makes them feel more expensive than they actually are. Barry M offers over a hundred different colours, all with fantastic quality - I've yet to try a Dazzle Dust that lacked quality wise. There is a far amount of fall-out but I expect that from pigment based eyeshadows. Petrol Black looks amazing when wet; when patted onto the eyelid the shimmer/glitter really shows up, however when brushed this is less so. I used over Fyrinnae's Pixie Epoxy, and wearing time lasted six hours+ with only minimal fading. I feel that Dazzle Dusts need a slight stickier base in order to adhere to, or better yet, used wet.
Bottom line: £4.59 for a substantial amount of product is fantastic value (especially if you get them during 3 for 2/3 for £10 offers), applies well and lasts hours, fantastic quality and a truly unique colour.

Shimmery multi-chromey goodness in the pot, but it has difficulty translating to the eyes. I apply over a black base to help enhance it. Applies really nice and even. The little jar is okay, wish it had a sifter or some kind of back up plan as I can be a bit clumsy and have knocked some out of the jar. As with all loose powder products there tends to be some fall out, and since it is a dark color it tends to be more noticeable but cleaning up with a fluffy brush and translucent powder seems to work okay. I have a suspicion that it will be fantastic over Fyrinnae epoxy, will report back once I try it out.
