The roots of my hair are not oily after I spray this product in, it also adds volume so thats a plus.. the only problem I have with this is the product is used up really fast, I only get about 12 uses out of it before its completely gone.

I think this dry shampoo is a good product for convenience like at school after sports/physical activity or travelling when its just easier to pop it open and quickly spray a light mist instead of actual use in trying to 'clean' hair thoroughly. I have had this for about half a year and I use it only in desperate times when I forget to wash my hair during a second night - for me, it doesn't make me feel like I have less oily hair or look like it. It gives some volume and because I rarely use this - results are always different! It seems average, nothing amazingly special. To save money, just get a mini one and test it out.

Why do people love this? My hair is very oily and I thought I would give this a shot. Ok yes it worked but it also gave my dirty blonde hair a whitish tint in the front so I looked like I was graying. It made my hair feel like i had hair spray in it and as a result my hair did not move and swing like normal. If the wind blew I was left with some funky farrah faucet 70's do. It made my head itch and made my hair prone to breakage, I will be returning this and going back to daily washing, which is the only way to go.

I have thin, fine, ashy-blonde hair. About six months ago, I moved from the West Coast to the East Coast and my hair has not adjusted well to the extremely hard water. Immediately after washing it, it looks lank and greasy--this is aggravated by my bangs! I've bought a shower water purifier, different shampoo, tried rinsing with ACV, all of which help but haven't resolved the problem. I bought this after reading reviews and hoping this would at least help my bangs. This stuff is great! I spray it in whenever my hair is looking a bit greasy, pat it down (I have wavy/curly hair, so I don't want to comb it) and away I go. I bought the Blush scent based on other reviews on MUA and I enjoy it. It's flowery and powdery but not overpowering, and lingers faintly after applying which I don't mind--however, I don't wear perfume, so I don't know if the scent would mix well with all perfumes. It took me awhile to find it (I ended up buying mine at Food Lion, a grocery store) but it was worth it. Look on the Batiste website for where to buy, because many of the big chains (Target, Walmart, Walgreens, beauty supply shops) don't have it.

This is the first dry shampoo I've tried so I can't compare it to other brands. I wash my hair daily but I have quite an oily scalp which means I get greasy hair quite easily. I'm blonde and oily hair makes it look dull and dirty. I also have a bad habit of running my fingers through my hair all day!
I think this is an amazing product! As soon a I spray it on my hair it feels cleaner and oil free. Its as if the oils and dirt in my hair are sprayed away. It doesn't feel like there is any product building up on your hair.
I'm not crazy about the smell though, which is why only 4 stars, but I know there are other scents available.

I have already repurchased this dry shampoo because it's the one I've liked the best so far. I've tried a couple other brands and this one is defnitely better. The price isn't too bad either. I have bought this at ulta and also at marshalls at a cheaper price. So I would definitely say check out a marshalls or tj maxx if you have one near. The smell is sweet and floral. Nothing too harsh and it doesn't smell all chemical like some dry shampoos I've tried. My hair is dark brown and I spritz this in my hair, wait a minute or two, then run clean hands or a brush through my hair to evenly distribute and make sure there's no white showing in my hair. My hair doesn't feel greasy hours later, but at the end of the day it does get a little after using this. The scent lingers in my hair also. I do wash my hair every other day at times, but most of the time its every day. I use this on fresly washed hair also to add some volume and it works great.

The packaging and name makes it seem this will be a sweet scent. Its not that way but a rather strong smell like old fashioned hair products. Its "scent prohibitive" for me, so I can't use it.

Hate it. I'd rather spend an extra pound and get a dry shampoo that isn't chalky and drying. I have a ton of fall out when brushing it through, it leaves a nasty colour to my light brown hair and the smell isn't very nice either. Received it for free from bzzagent and haaate it. Improved formula my bum! I'll stick to tressemme in the future.

Being someone that washes there hair every day, I was really keen to try this as although my hair doesn't look or feel unhealthy, surely washing it everyday must do it some damage. This product really did'nt live up to my expectations at all. It left my scalp feeling itchy and made areas of my hair look white. I ended up giving this to my 9 year old niece as she liked the smell of it. I won't be buying this product again.

This is only my second try at dry shampoo but so far I do like it. I have brown hair but it's very highlighted, when my hair is greasy it shows at the roots, for sure.

This takes away nearly all of the greasiness and although it has a scent it isn't cloying and it doesn't shout, "I didn't wash my hair!!!" like some dry shampoos... Ahem, suave.

So, for a mid range priced product, I think it was around $7 ay Ulta I say go for it.

Ran into Sally's the other night because I was going out early, in a hurry & wasn't going to have time to wash my hair. The only dry shampoo I'd tried before this was Big Sexy Hair's a couple months ago and it's what got me suddenly excited about dry shampoos as I loved the volume it gave me, that lasted even onto the next day or maybe even two. So after reading dry shampoo reviews on here of course I knew I could bop into Sally's and grab a can of Batiste! and trust it would work, never having tried it. Well...first of all was a little taken back by the price of such a small can on the bottom shelf looking all retro/questionable age-wise. I felt 3-5 bucks looked more the price range it *looked like* but hey, if it works and smells alright, 8 bucks wasn't going to hold me back. So of course had to pick the scent, and was a little let down as they had only 2; Blush and Original. BUT I knew there were many who preferred the blush scent so I was like *yeah! here goes nothing!* gave it a sniff & Let me say, ...Ohhhkay....do I even want to test the Original.....YUCK. Really????.....Seriously....? Not a fan of the scents, at all. I am not understanding how anybody can think these are acceptable honestly. The original, was an Instant *** no* was not even worth a second sniff, and since the blush had high reviews, I thought 'well maybe it will smell better once it's in my hair'....the girl at the counter tried to sell me an Ion dry shampoo, she said worked for her, but I wasn't convinced it would work as I hadn't read reviews on it...but I bet it smelled better than this Batiste blush!! Honestly, was smelling it all through my dinner, I dunno if it's just because it was near my face obviously but I felt as though the smell overpowered any perfume or lotion I had on *That I Want to smell like* :/
It's got some powder-perfumey smell covering up some medicinal sour nutty note (how to describe..) But I feel the scent is embarrassing. By the time I got home around 3am, I was becoming Used to the smell, but I smelled it again just now and eh yeah, just can't say it's okay. Secondly, for the performance, when I sprayed it in, wicked light cast but I think that came out eventually, and I had some volume. However, it fell flat in not too long of a time after, just started to feel a bit heavy and by the time I got home, and when I woke up the next morning, I definitely needed to wash it, and I don't really have greasy hair. I wouldn't call the performance horrible, which is why I give it a 3. I give the scent a 1.

best dry shampoo ever. this seriously lets me get another 2-3 days without washing my hair. my hair feels light and fluffy after using this and never gets stiff feeling. i do have dark hair but as long as you brush it out good you shouldn't have an issue with a gray cast. how i use it is i'll section my hair off and spray the roots only, wait a few minutes until it gets a bit powdery and then brush it out. the smell is okay, it's better than the original scent. i usually order these in bulk on amazon which is a lot cheaper than paying $6-7 at sallys for one can. i find a can will usually last me a little over a month and i probably use it about 4x a week. i think that's pretty good since most dry shampoos seem to just disappear (my rockstar lasted about 2 weeks and it's twice the size of batiste).

Favorite dry shampoo. Smells good, reminds me slightly of Viva La Juicy. It drys quickly and blends in well. My only complaint is that there seems to not be very much product in the can. I run out way too quickly.

This is the first dry shampoo I have ever tried. I loved it. It has a strong smell which I was initially very turned off by, but it dissipates quickly. I didn't have any problem with white residue even though my hair is dark brown.

I spray this on my roots, wait a few mins then comb it out, as directed. I was amazed at how soft and clean it made my hair, with such little effort. Lots of volume, and did I say soft?

Definitely worth it if you are short on time and can't wash your hair normally. Will buy again! I don't even feel the need to try any other scents or brands!

I think that it is a bit expensive considering this stuff probably runs out pretty fast.

But I have very oily hair, like I really need to wash it every day, and sometimes if I wash it in the early evening it will look greasy the next morning. Yuck.

My solution was corn starch, but that got everywhere, and made my hair all starchy and white and stiff. Gross.

This stuff is quite good. I sprayed it in my roots, fluffed it up, and my hair felt all shiny and smooth, and not oily, once I brushed it out.

Plus I like the smell. And I didn't get any white chalky residue. It isn't as good as a real shampoo and conditioner wash, but it is also a lot less of a hassle so it is great for those times where you are going out at night and don't want to wash your hair twice in one day, or if you shower at night and wake up with greasy hair like I do.

Makes my hair feel all smooth and fresh, especially with a comb out and iron over.

But, I definitely do not think it truly washes so if you sweat I would definitely take a regular shower. It is just good for those touchups when your body is clean but you don't want to wash your hair excessively.

This product isn't so easily available near me, and I do think it is kind of expensive, at 9 dollars for a can that probably won't last too long but it definitely helps my hair.

The smell of this product is so strong and horrifying it bothered my asthma and I had to take my albuterol multiple times after wearing it.

Smells like a doctor's office and cheap perfume. BLECH.

In the trash and back to the original.

Ugh, this is like my 3rd ammendment to this review. Here is my conclusion:
PROS:
- I love the smell, it is nostalgic to me.
- Adds body to my fine hair.
- Does leave it looking lighter in colour, which I enjoy because I am blonde.
- Looks cleaner and fresher.
- Saves me time in the am when I don't want to wash my hair.
CONS:
- Even if I try to spray only the roots, over time it makes my hair drier.
- Can make your hair feel gross, kinda like cotton candy.

So yeah, I guess the pros outweigh the cons and this is a keeper for me.

HG! This stuff is a GODSEND and very well be the only reason I'm able to make it to work on time on most days. I have a lot of fine hair that gets greasy if I don't wash it every day and the Batiste has spared me the luxury of going an extra day without washing/blow drying.

It works just like hairspray, you just spray your roots to absorb the oil and comb/brush as usual. This is a powder spray so it can turn your hair whitish if you get a little over zealous or too close but it goes away easily if you brush it out. There are a few scents available, Tropical, Original, Diva, Blush, etc. but I like Blush the best since it smells like a regular hair product, the others are a little over powering, especially the Diva. I purchase mine at Ulta but I've seen the Original Scent at Harmon Discount, Emiliani Beauty Supply, and Sally Beauty, the CVS stores near me do not carry it (NJ). It's about $6-7 anywhere I've seen it. One can lasts me about a month.

I love this stuff! I have dark hair so I found a lot of dry shampoos showed up in my hair and looked like dandruff! I wasted some cash on the Oscar Blandi dry shampoo (super over priced!) before I heard about this.

I know some will find fault with the smell...I like the smell, I found the lemon original scent a little too strong, and this one fades more quickly. This seriously can take my hair from disgusting, sweaty and oily to picture perfect, and I have fine hair! It's super cheap and a can lasts forever, I love it!

This is a nice smelling DS, however I have to use so much of it! It's cheap to start with (between $7-10 AU), BUT I was finding that I had to repurchase after every few uses, which makes it SO EXPENSIVE!!. On the positive side, it smells nice, works to remove oliy roots, and looks natural.(no white or powdery cast once hair been brushed a couple of times)

I wouldn't purchase again given the cost per use, and have since found my HG Fudge Dry Shampoo, which is around $15-17 AU, but lasts 3-4 weeks with multiple uses, so in comparison is way cheaper than Batise DS, which doesn't last me a week. Fudge dry shampoo works better than Batise and feels like it's cleaning my hair rather than just reoving oil, but I guess Batise offers better variety given the many fragrances and the brunette option too. I've used 'blush' and 'diva' and both smell lovely.

Anyway, I give this 3 as it does get rid of oily roots and smell nice, but the price per use is a HUGE downfall.

Here's a summary of the dry shampoos I've tried (and wouldn't buy again as long as my HG Fudge DS is around lol). Cedel's DS is top of this list of memorable ones as it was so HORRIBLE. I gor the one in the purple can and it smells disgusting (chemical smell that made me gag), and leaves a horrible white and unnaural cast (my mum and friend both noticed how weird my hair looked and they never normally say anything), so I threw it out after two uses. Lee Staddord's Poker Straight DS at least smells ok, but given the price (maybe $16-18 AU) and the fact that I also needed heaps of it to do the job, I wouldn't buy again (especially given my Fudge HG). Klorane was the first DS I used, and it was ok for the purpose, and smells ok, but I had to use quite a lot (it retails for around $12-15 AU).

In summary, if the fragrances on offer from Batise outway the unbelievably high cost per use, or you have brunette hair (they have a DS for brunette hair, but I haven't tried it, maybe Batise is the brand to try. If on the other hand you want an inexpensive cost per use DS that works just as well if not better than Batise, that cleans hair, looks natural and smells nice, try Fudge DS (it got a bad rating as 3 out of 5 reviews are bad- but give it a go).
