Great product! Just a bit of color - enough for everyday use - and nice gloss. Good moisturizing properties and sunscreen. It also seems to last a long time.

I love this lip balm. I will continue to buy it again and again. It is SO hard to find a product/shade that has the stain effect of a lipstick, but the glossiness of a lip gloss. If that's what you're looking for, this is it!
I have very fair skin, and I find it extremely difficult to find a lip shade that works for me. Corals that look beautiful swatched online are orangy on me, mauves that look so sophisticated and pretty have purple tints once I apply them, and nudes that look natural and beautiful on other people's lips wash me out and make me look like a corpse. So when I say it's hard to find a good everyday, lovely lip shade that will make you smile every time you catch yourself in the mirror, I mean it. But finally I have found it!
I was afraid that this would be too dark on my fair skin and could lean purpley. But this is such a buildable lip balm- if you want more of a lip-popping look, add a few more layers. If you want a subtle, your-lips-but-better color, add one or two layers and you're good to go.
CONS:
-buildable is good, but it seems like you have to add quite a bit in order to get a normal color
-the packaging is a bit fragile- I'd be careful just throwing this in your pocket or bag. I dropped one at the store, and the lid came off instantly!
PROS:
-buildable
-wonderful pink shade, my-lips-but-better
-stain of a lipstick with the glossiness of a lip gloss
-only like $7!
-goes with lots of looks (heavy or neutral makeup)
just FYI, Hibiscus looks absolutely GORGEOUS when worn with Physician's Formula Mood-Boosting Blush in Rose. I just wore that blush and this Covergirl lip balm on top of some face powder and it was just about the prettiest makeup look I've ever done.

A good friend gifted me a tube of Hibiscus Natureluxe gloss balm. I like that it has SPF 15 built in and it does seem hydrating. The color looks much brighter pink in the tube but on my lips is very sheer and natural. Wearable - and inexpensive. Good product.

So I was browsing my local Ulta store and saw this color and thought I'd give it a chance. I am very happy with my purchase. It gives a light rasberry tint with a hint of creamy texture. As with most balms it doesn't last long, but for the price I will repurchase.

This is one of few products I have repurchased more than once. Gives a very nice mlbb tint to my lips with a little bit of shine. Looks natural and brightens my face.

This product is decent as a my lips but better gloss-balm. It is almost an exact match to my lip color, but adds a hint of color and a pop of shine. The packaging is cute, and the price is about $6, but you can almost always get a good deal with sales and/or coupons. The longevity is decent, but if you don't like sweet-scented products, that may be a con for you. I'm not bothered by the vanilla-cupcake scent, it's a nice smell. I would repurchase this even more if they revamped the formula for a longer lasting product however. The pigmentation is sheer but very buildable, and the color selection is a very nice range of colors, from shimmery nudes/pinks to dark reds and i think a plum color. I will be buying more colors, in the coral color and maybe the nude pink. They're nice to stock up on :)

This is a beautiful shade of soft raspberry pink that is ideal for my fair skin tone. Many lipsticks in this color range turn out to be too bright for me but this product goes on softer than it looks in the tube. I very often have to soften the tone of a lipstick with another paler color on top but not with Hibiscus. I like that there is no shimmer or frost. It's true it doesn't last all that well, certainly not through a meal, but most lipsticks don't anyway. My only complaint about this product is the container. It's a dinky little cheap plastic container with a clear lid. The lipstick is very breakable because it's skinnier than normal. I wish CG would make this as a normal sized lipstick in a better tube.

The color was nice, but this balm doesn't last. I've been wearing it all week and the first thing I noticed was that within an hour the color is gone. Second was it wasn't very moisturizing. My lips were dry at the end of the day. If you like to apply lip products 10 times a day then this is for you. I'll stick to lipsticks and gloss.

Yay! A tinted lip balm with SPF! I love this shade and the consistency of the balm. I work outside in the sun a lot and this is what I wear on my lips when I want a little colour.

Hibiscus looks bright in the tube, but is more subtle on (yet still noticeable). This is nicely moisturizing and the color is pretty. I can imagine it working on almost any skin tone. Only downside is that you must reapply frequently. Still a very good product, though.

this gloss balm is a beautiful medium/deep pink with no shimmer. this is what I wanted Revlon Soft Rose to be (but in a slightly different hue): a nice bright yet fairly natural "flushed" pink. Soft Rose looks too dark/bright on me for this purpose. the formula also makes it very easy to put on, and when wound all the way down, it actually goes inside the tube so I don't need to worry about nicking the stick when I put the cap on. I'll definitely be buying this again, and perhaps some of the other Natureluxe gloss balms!

I was bummed when Neutrogena stopped making their lip tints with SPF15. I tried this in Hibiscus and LOVE it. I always want SPF15 in my day lip balms and have been happy with this product and will buy more colors

At first I liked this shade, it looks to be a medium sheer raspberry/ pink shade with no shimmer or frost. But then I caught a glipse of myself in the mirror and realized this was more purple/ mauve than pink and not as flattering on me as I thought ( I have brown hair & eyes, fair skin). I like the formula itself, it's creamy and moisturizing and sheer and offers spf protection, but the shade looks just a little off on me. It cost $6.49

I gave this a try based on the positive reviews on MUA but ended up taking it back. It felt waxy more than balmy and it never settled into my lips, just sat on top of them. Comes off very easily, almost no staying power. The color was nice but the texture ruined it. Pass.

The only downside of the product is that they dont have a seal on it so you can open it in the store. The color is a great deep pink and goes on smooth and after a couple of coats stays very well. The SPF is an extra bonus its an over all great product.

I love this product. I applied the Gloss Balm to my clean dry lips and felt that it moisturized very well and had a great color to it, that wasn't overwhelming at all. the smell is great. For me, the color and moisture lasted for quite a while! I "go to" this product everyday!

I really, really, really want to like this product. The color is awesome, and when you first put it on, it goes on so smooth and light, with perfect pink shade I have been looking for...but....it doesn't last! It will last maybe an hour....maybe(and thats just sitting without eating)! And that would even be fine, but it dries my lips out, and makes them look a blotchy pink...just not attractive once its worn off..I've tried it over and over..putting it on heavier..but it doesn't seem to matter..it just dries out this weird blotchy pink color. My lips are not normally extremely dry, but this makes them look like they are. I am definitely bummed because the color is sooo pretty.
Update:7/12/11
I started making sure I had a decent layer of chapstick on before I use this, and I have gotten MUCH better results. My lips aren't overly dry, but without it, I feel like color left my lips really quickly. Now it lasts quite a bit longer. So I've given it more lippies!

Never in a million years did I think CG would make such a light, natural-feeling product (like I've seen in other reviews, they're normally quite synthetic-heavy). I've been trying to find a balm/tint/gloss for everyday wear for sometime now that would either help heal my somewhat chapped lips (thanks bunches, Winter weather!), or at least not dry them out and make it worse. This balm is ridiculously AWESOME. It goes on light and very sheer, which you'd never expect from the pigmentation of the actual stick. My skin is light to begin with (translucent fair is the most common name on the shades I have to use) and cold weather is no help, plus I usually end up overdosing on the bright colors that are in style. This gave my lips a nice rosy flush, kind of like right after a good workout but not "Is she going to pass out?" red. I've found that using a nude lipliner with it (my liner of choice is Rimmel's 1000 Kisses, 049 Natural) can make the color pop a bit more if you're looking for a slightly less natural but still pretty tint. On the pricey side for what a college student likes to pay (~$6-7 depending on store), but that's the trade-off for naturals I guess. That said, you get a good amount of product so I don't think its too awful, but time will tell on that particular facet. All-around good new product from CG.
