Whenever I'm shopping Ultra, I'll head on over to the Essence display to see what's new. I love their products and I'm usually not disappointed. To begin with, cruelty-free. Big plus in my book.
I have these liners in cool breeze (an eye-popping turquoise), behind the scenes (a mild, unassuming gray), and everybody's darling (a shimmering mid lilac). The cool breeze is a dupe for another higher end liner, and fooled a Sephora associate one day. They thought that was the eyeliner I was wearing. It's absolutely gorgeous.
Behind the scenes is quite unassuming and a quiet gray, what I would want a gray to be if I didn't want to outline my eyes in black. It does the job perfectly. Great for going out during the day when you want your eyes to be lined, but don't want them to look as if they have a bit of liner at all.
Everybody's darling has shimmer to it. Great on the lid, not on the lower so much. A quiet lilac that's good for blue-green eye color.
The pigmentation far exceeds my expectations for this pencil, considering how inexpensive it is. It's never let me down. Easy to sharpen with a generic sharpener, too. Glides on softly with no tug, so you can apply the amount you want easily.
I also have them in Long-lasting and Metallic, and they wear the same way. Just love these pencils.
I wish they were carried in more stores locally, but, alas, they are not for me. There is a site online to see their products, tho. Made in Germany.

Great eyeliner, great price overall, great in general.
I have this in the colour Teddy, which is a basic brown with a slight metallic finish. However the metallic effect is fairly subtle and you cant see it at all on the eyes. It is very creamy and glides on effortlessly.

I have these in midnight blue and a brown. They're pigmented, don't tug and they're cheap! Feel good because essence doesn't test on animals.

I have two shades of this eye pencil, 08 Teddy (medium-brown) and 04 White (white...duh). These are no good, I really wanted to like them (I think they cost 1.49$ Canadian, but don't quote me on that) but I couldn't sharpen them to a fine enough point to line my eyes, so I tried just putting it on my water line. It didn't irritate my eyes but neither of the shades lasted more than 20 minutes and Teddy just made my eyes look muddy because I couldn't build up any colour. There are some way better eye pencils out there, I don't reccomend this.

This was a very surprising product for me. It was SO cheap, I was expecting a crap product with not much pigment that applied streaky. Well this is very much the opposite. It applies smoothly and stays on all day (I use a primer before it). I bought it in white to use on my waterline and in/on the tear duct. On the tear duct it will last all day, but on the waterline it needs to be reapplied at least once throughout the day. It's very good for being such an inexpensive product, I was impressed.

i bought this in white to use on my waterline. bottom line is it's super inexpensive, works well, pigmented, creamy...doesn't last but for the price, you really can't beat it.

My favorite thing about this liner is its price. Honestly if it were more expensive I would probably not be loured into buying it, but can you really say no to trying something that's under a dollar?
Anyway, I own the color "All I want". I bought it because it was on clearance for around 50 cents. At first I didn't know what to do with it, because the color is a bit odd, but when I tried it on my eyes, not only on my hand as I did in the shop, it appeared a lot lighter than when I swatched it. Made me happy, because I was looking for a nice off white eye liner for my watter line, but sadly the staying power wasn't good enough for this purpose. I thought it was going to be waste of money, but the other day I decided to try to use it to fill in my brows and then somehow the color looked like my swatch again and that's when I fell in love with this product. It looks really, really natural on me, just need to be careful when applying, because if put directly on top of the brow hairs, it makes them look shiny. I've tried some other colors on my upper lash line and they worked really well, so now I'm really wishing to go back to the store and pick up some more colors :)

I have this in white and I really like this for my water line. It's stays on my water liner for 6 hours and I have more expensive liners that don't last as long and aren't as creamy.I like this just as much as my 15 $ gosh liner

I purchased the brown shade of these for around $2 at Target, the intensity is good! perfect for smudging but also great for a clean line when the tip is sharpened well.
To me, these pencils own over BYS or NYX which you can normally purchase at Groove or Cosmetics Plus because while they are around the same price, the Kajal Eyeliners work the best - no need to run the pencil back and forth over the eyelid.
It would be great if they made this one in a nice blue or purple

I own a few of these pencils. they are so cheap and the colors are so great that I can hardly resist the temptation to buy them all! I managed to finish the Teddy one because it became my everyday pencil for neutral makeup. I also use the black one and the dark blue one. these pencils are really pigmented and easy to use. the staying power is really good on the lid, not so good on the waterline but considering their cheap price, it's already much more than I expected. I will buy them again and again because they are just perfect for daily use.

Amazing quality eyeliner for only .99 cents at Ulta! I got it in white to make my eyes look bigger and I have to say this did the trick! Creamy and easy to apply and it lasted all through school! Def a great find, as long as you don't have oily lids.

I purchased this in Teddy, which is a very pretty soft brown. The color was beautiful and pigmented. The texture is also very smooth and creamy so it was easy to apply. I was somewhat impressed since it was only $0.99 from Ulta! Unfortunately, I have oily lids and this had no lasting power. It smudge and melted away within a few hours.

It's such a pity to have to drop the rating on this wonderful brand, up to now I've loved every one of their products! But unfortunately these kajal eye pencils didn't work for me. I do have to admit I have very demanding eyes. Oily for one thing, and even oilier with foundation, even if I use a non oily foundation. And then I have 1000 allergies, so I cry a lot too. So I really need a super duper industrial strength eyeliner. I also ask that my eyeliner be soft and creamy and easy to apply, at the same time that it resists oil and tears and why not, also water (you never know when it will rain, right?). But unfortunately the Essence kajal eyeliner not only didn't fulfil my demands, it didn't resist anything! It smudged and smudged, it smudged so much it gave me blurry vision. Which made me cry of course, and I don't wear contacts. Which made it smudge even more. To make things worse I decided to use foundation too. Which made it oily as well. The only good things about these pencils are that the colours are wonderful, and they are soft and creamy and easy to apply. But you know, easy to apply easy to smudge off. But if you don't have allergies or oily eyelids you could probably do just fine with these pencils, lucky you. They are so cheap, a real good find for people who can wear them. I have to stick with my favourite waterproof Sephora eyeliners and MAC.
