This is an amazing product. I would recommend it to anyone that has a problem with acne. I would suggest buying other cleansers to go along with it. This product has forever saved my face, and I am going to keep using it every day.

I didn't like it the first time I used it, but that's because I was using it wrong. I was trying to use it to take off all my makeup at the same time with an odd cleanser. It works a whole lot better when I use the Dove Beauty Bar for sensitive skin to wash as much makeup off as I can first. Then I lather up my face for a second time, wet the brush and put a little dove on it and then use the Pro X. If I used a different cleanser to wash my face first, the brush would probably dry me out, but for my very dry skin, the Dove really balances it out. When used with the brush, it turns really creamy and makes my skin very soft. Best exfoliation I've ever had. Those two together are a good match for someone with super dry sensitive skin.

I don't use the brush unless I had makeup on that day. In the morning, I use Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser to just take the extra oil off my face.

I've been using this for a few weeks and pores on my nose and on the front of my cheeks have mostly gotten smaller. It is starting to take away the dark stuff in my pores. I've had random break outs around my chin and mouth, but those are most likely just hormonal and I can't really do anything about that. The rest of the month, my skin has looked great!

How have I not reviewed this yet! I've been using this for nearly a year! I love it!! I always thought I removed my makeup pretty well but after using this and seeing how much makeup residue was on the brush, I know its one of the reasons I suffer from breakouts! I was contemplating buying the clarisonic but I'm soo glad I opted for this cheaper version which I'm sure is just as good! I get quite a bit of dry skin due to the use of certain acne products so this really helps buff the dry skin so that my makeup goes on better. Brilliant! X

So glad I decided to buy this instead of the Clarisonic. Well, my wallet decided! I find this helps a lot with the flakies when I'm using my Retin-A. Great little tool at a reasonable, real-people price. But throw away the little sample cleanser it comes with - it's garbage

I'm on my second brush system! I love this but a word to the wise: Be sure to dry the applicance off and I suggest keeping the plastic try in the box that it comes in because it makes a great storage holder for the brush and appliance while it dries. Do not use this in the shower, you dont want to the appliance to become overly wet. The first one I used suffered from serious battery erosion from water getting in, that compartment for the batteries is not water tight and it stopped working.

The 2nd one I'm treating with more care! I think it works just as good as some of the more expensive brands. Paired with Biore's Balancing skin cleanser, its amazing!

I love this thing!
I have dry, flaky skin and this really helps buff off all those flakes and evens out my face.
Makes exfoliating so fast and easy.
Plus it feels nice, it's like a little spa treatment at home every morning. Helps me wake up and feel refreshed.

I do like the cleanser it comes with, but I stick to my regular acne wash. You can use this with any cleanser you prefer.

I am very happy with this product. If anything bad happens I will do an update. I recently just bought this from Walmart.com and it was on sale. I think it's usually around 30 dollars but mine was like 21 dollars. It comes with a replacement head and a sample of their face wash from Olay. You find a much better deal at Costco if you can. it comes with a full sized bottle of facewash and not just a sample, and 2 replacement heads.I'm only basing this review off on one day. It literally just came in the mail yesterday and I used it last night and this morning. The results were beautiful. I used it last night in the shower with st Ives apricot scrub and then this morning with clean and clear face wash. My black heads on my nose are all gone, my other acne is going away, it almost looks like some scars faded. It's unbelievable what great results I've gotten from only one (technically 2)days of use. It's a beautiful product for such a cheap price. The brush is not rough at all and is actually quite soft. Love this product!

Yet another glowing review :)

A nurse that I work with strongly recommended this product to a client and since she has flawless skin, I ran out the next day to purchase one.

I am normally pretty good about washing my face. I thought I got the makeup completely off. I thought I exfoliated enough. And I thought that I would always deal with at least 1-4 breakouts at any given time even though I'm 24 years old. It was just my bad skin. I am SO happy to be proven wrong!

I've been using this brush for one week, twice a day (morning in the shower, at night to get off makeup), with St. Ives Apricot Scrub. The tool is the only thing altered in my beauty/health routine.
My skin hasn't been this flawless since before puberty. No exaggeration. I finally have zero blemishes! *Glooooat.* On top of which, it's that time of month (and I'm not on hormonal contraception) so this should be impossible. Plus it's not solely clear skin (which is already a miracle), it's even and glow-y skin, too.

Also: I have some horizontal expression lines in my forehead (genetics, ugh). Treatment has been Neutrogena Ageless Intensives Deep Wrinkle Moisture at night and Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle SPF 15 during the day for about 4 weeks, just on my forehead. Only in the past week, since using the brush, have my lines begun to reduce noticeably. And not just the Neutrogena but also my Cetaphil moisturizer sinks in so much more quickly and plumps my skin now. It looked/felt like a film before and now it looks/feels like perfect skin.

(Using a moisturizer is important with this just like you would with any skin exfoliation. Derms recommend moisturizing within 5 minutes of showering/washing while your skin is still damp. My friend starting using the brush at the same time as me and is also on acne meds but not moisturizing. She mentioned her skin is drier with twice daily use. But we're sloughing off our skin's dead outer layer and the new skin underneath needs protection/sealing in the moisture. Like..basting a turkey.)

I know there are a lot of great reviews for the Clarisonic Mia.. I looked into it too. I would definitely be willing to shell out. But has anyone else read the reviews on cystic acne/blackhead/whitehead/broken capillaries? A quality dermatologist knows there's no such thing as skin purging. And broken capillaries take forever and/or laser surgery to heal. Too scared. Gonna pass on the Mia. The Olay Pro X is beyond amazing for me, I will buy another if it breaks or I lose it. I will buy one for my mom and my brother in college.

My tip though that one or two others have noticed: if you press too firmly with the brush and go over areas too often and too long, it can aggravate that part of the skin and cause a small whitehead. (Which can be scraped off with a clean fingernail or wash cloth and goes away immediately.) This did happen to me when I was too aggressive. I need to remember that the spinning does the cleansing for me and the brush will get my skin clean with gentle, light pressure for the minute of time that's recommended (I sometimes push it to 2-4 min, oops. But it's so fun to use, I can't help it.)

I do not have sensitive skin, although sometimes after using this, my face is red for a little bit. Not a big deal to me, but those with sensitive skin might have problems. I have very oily skin and I feel like this cleans deeply enough to help with that problem. I now rarely break out and my pores are never clogged. I bought this about a year ago, it is well priced compared to others like it. I love it. I use it about 4-5 times a week and I don't feel clean if I don't use it. However, mine broke. Just stopped working one day. I tried replacing batteries and nothing worked. I was pissed because I don't believe that I should have to buy another one after just a year. I wrote to the company to let them know, in hopes that they might have a suggestion on how to fix it. They sent me a coupon for a completely free one after only a few days. I'm so happy because now I can use my favorite product again and the company obviously cares about their consumers. I would definitely recommend it.

I just bought this yesterday after wanting one for a long time. I have been obsessing over the Clarisonic version but cannot justify $100+ to buy it. Anyways! I used this last night (I was previously using Aveenos textured cleansing pads.) and I noticed results immediately! My skin was much smoother, softer, felt cleaner and my pores were smaller! Which is a miracle. My pores are so big on the top of my cheeks. I gave it 4 lippies because I don't care for the cleanser it came with. It irritated my skin slightly and made my face feel a little dry and tight, but I finished up with Olay's moisturizing cream and my skin felt so supple and dewy. This morning my makeup went on smoother as well. I'm excited to see the results after a week of use. I will probably only use this at night before bed. Also, I saw some reviews on other websites complaining about the battery compartment being incredibly hard to remove...if you read the directions it says to gently rock back and forth while removing and it popped right off! Read the directions people!

I've had various issues with my skin (dry and flaky, too oily, acne, very sensitive, uneven/rough, etc.) always - different issues for different seasons.

I bought this after reading all of the rave reviews online, and was not disappointed. I've used it nightly for about 3 weeks, and my skin has never been softer and smoother. It has a glow to it that I never really had before, as hard as I tried! I'm not great at sticking to a regime if I don't see results quickly, but I was sold after only 1 use of this thing. I read that you're only meant to use Olay cleansers with it, but I have used it with my Lush and Burt's Bees products with equally awesome results.

Because of my sensitive skin, I use it on the slower setting as the faster setting feels slightly scratchy. After using the brush daily for ~3 weeks, it's still operating at full power, which is nice too.

I LOVE the Olay Pro-X brush and like most others, highly recommend it.

I have dry/flakes on my nose & bad black headsheads I would scrub my nose with a loofa while i was in the shower & that helped with the flakes( & lotion). I thought this little guy would work miracles for my face but it didn't. I get a deep clean with it but nothing cetaphil & olay toner can't do. This product is nothing special.

I own both the Clarisonic and the Olay cleansing system. I should preface this review by stating that I received the Clarisonic as a very generous bridesmaid gift and did not purchase it myself. I only use the Clarisonic on my face 1-2 times/week.

For the face, the Clarisonic definitely leaves me feeling smoother and softer. When I run my hands over my face, the skin feels like glass. The Olay also leaves my skin feeling smooth, but not as smooth as the Clarisonic. I would not lose sleep over the differences in smoothness, especially if you can't justify the differences in cost. Both work well and produce positive results, though through a different mechanism (from my understanding). I think that if I used both products too frequently it would irritate the skin on my face.

For the body, the Olay is the superior product. The Clarisonic is too gentle to provide adequate exfoliation (even with the body brush head). I use the Olay daily on my upper arms (where I have KP) and the outside of my calves (where my skin always feels bumpy for some reason). One complaint, since I'm using the the Olay on a larger surface area I have to replace the batteries very frequently.

I LOVE this product. Unfortunately my budget doesn't stretch to afford a clarasonic so I have nothing to compare it to. Saying that, I'm still very confident in making the claim this is a GREAT product. I've been using it with my usual Lush facial cleansing soap (fresh farmacy) and have seen wonderful results. My skin looks and feels heaps cleaner, and when I do put makeup on the finish is a million times better than it's ever been. The only thing I've changed lately is using this product so it's well worth the money if you ask me :)

I'm writing this on behalf of my teenage daughter. She has had problematic skin for months–acne, redness, itching, sensitivity, and dryness. We had tried various washes and moisturizers (African Black Soap, St. Ives, Fruitique, Clinique, Neutrogena, Abba, Yes to Tomatoes, etc. . .), and everything either dried her skin, or had no beneficial impact on the acne problem.

She doesn't wear makeup or spend much time on her appearance because she's always busy, so she just lived with red, bumpy, itchy skin. Since I knew I had to find something simple yet effective for her (she'd never stick with a complex system, and her skin seems too sensitive for multiple products), I went and splurged on this brush system.

We saw serious results within one day, no joke. Now a few days later, the breakouts are almost all gone (she'd had pimples, whiteheads, blackheads, and various uneven texture), and her skin texture is much more even and refined. My daughter also says her skin is much less oily during the day and that when she looks in the mirror, she feels like her skin looks good, and it doesn't hurt anymore. It's as though she has different skin.

She uses the cleanser that came in the box, and she says she loves this system. She even praised that it's less messy than trying to wash her face at the sink. Mind you, this is a girl who is not that big into beauty products or treatments.

I had high hopes for this product, based on reviews, and I can sincerely say that it has even exceeded my expectations. My daughter's skin is happier, and she's happier, and we don't have to keep searching for the "right" product anymore.

I think this system works because the brush provides thorough, but gentle, exfoliation. Acne treatment requires increased cell turnover and exfoliation, but so many products, chemical or physical, tear up and dry out the skin so badly that its overall appearance and quality are still poor, even if actual breakouts are reduced. This brush system removes dead cells, oil, and the surface factors that cause acne, but without damaging the structure and moisture of the skin. I would suggest that anyone with acne just try this, even if it seems a little expensive.

I am writing this as someone who has never owned the Clarisonic system.

I really like this brush. I purchased the system that came in the Christmas set, so it came with a full size exfoliating face wash. To me, the bristles are tough enough to feel like they're scrubbing, but they feel soft and gentle on my skin. I actually like the size of this brush, because its easy to get it around my nose area.

Is it as powerful as the clarisonic? Probably not. Does it provide instant improvement? No. But after a week, my skin felt much softer, blackheads had started to fade, and enlarged black heads were disappearing.

My personal recommendations:

Don't be afraid to try different cleansers with this. I honestly don't like the cleanser it comes with-- I'm already using the brush to exfoliate, and so the texture of the cleanser felt too rough. My favorite cleanser with this is the Biore Pore Unclogging Scrub. It's got salicylic acid in it, and using it with the brush really helps that penetrate my skin.

Purchase a good vitamin E moisturizer for night time. I will say that this system does dry my skin out a little, but the vitamin E moisturizer has almost completely eliminated that problem.

Finally, I typically wash my face most often in the shower, so I was hesitant when I saw the reviews stating this was water resistant and not waterproof. The brush head is easy enough to remove to rinse on its own that there really is no reason for this to become water damaged (i.e., you don't ever have to submerge it in water to clean). I've had mine for 2 months, using it mostly in the shower, and its absolutely fine.

I used to have these bumps on my cheeks and forehead that weren't pimples but just harmless little bumps that looked nasty. I use this with my St. Ives Apricot Scrub and with my Cetaphil daily facial cleanser, switching off every other night. The bumps have reduced and my blackheads have also reduced along with the dry patches of skin around my nose. Although I think the brush can be softer, overall I would recommend this product. But do not use the cleanser it comes with because it isn't effective.
