Good: my perfect color match for my Asian yellow undertone, natural finish
Bad: coverage is pretty minimal, I use it only to even skin tone, doesn't last very long

After years of using mineral makeup but not being 100% satisfied, I've been on a search to return to liquid foundation. Having tried numerous samples from Lancome, MAFE, MAC, . . . I've finally found my perfect match. Natural coverage, perfect shade, and it meets the needs of my combination skin. With a little Double Wear pressed powder buffed over a couple trouble spots with a brush I am very pleased with the results.

This foundation is light, semi coverage, and great for everyday and night outs (with some powder). I didn't have any problems with it, but I did not use it everyday because sometimes it did clog my pores, I usually switch from foundations to powders to tinted moisturizes so my pores will not clogg. The shade that I had was perfect and it also looked like I was wearing no make up at all which is always a plus for me because I always try my best to look natural with make up. Overall great foundation and I continue to use the product to this day, this would be my fifth year enjoying it.

I've tried several foundations from different department store brands and this is the one I keep coming back to. I really like it but since I like to try new things I'm on the hunt for a new foundation. My skin does well with it and I haven't experienced any breakouts. I would recommend this for those with combination skin.

For the price and the fact that this is Estee Lauder, I was a bit disappointed with this product. I got matched with Pearl, which is most definitely the best match for my skin that ANY foundation has ever been, but this foundation isn't right for me. I have to use so much of this to get a medium coverage (which I suppose isn't their fault because it does say sheer to medium on the bottle) but I had to use quite a lot to get my face fully covered. I also find that this foundation doesn't stay for very long, and it sort of just disappears off my face after a few hours. Smells lovely, beautiful packaging (mine is the tube version) but this really is too lightweight for me and I like having a medium to full coverage - this just can't provide that for me. Sadly, I only wear this to school because it's so sheer and unnoticeable. I will never repurchase this again.

this is a really good liquid foundation. It has a natural finish, and i would say its mostly for normal/combination skin types. Great for sensitive skin like my own, since its fragrance free. Its hydrating and oil controlling because its not matte and its not radiant either, so i guess the natural finish of this makeup gives it the ability to hydrate and oil control at the same time. Since the coverage is sheer to medium, its good for summer months also. You can never get a full coverage out of this one. If you want a full coverage option the double wear would be the best. I love that its so sheer it lets your skin show through. I would say the coverage is similar to that of an oil free tinted moisturizer, which some people really wouldn't like in a foundation. The sheer coverage is great for me because it doesn't look like i'm wearing anything on my skin, and it feels lightweight, plus i really want to focus on skin care at this point in my life. For reference my shade is 5N Sienna.

This was the perfect replacement for me when EL discontinued their Enlighten product, but alas it is also being discontinued (confirmed by EL). You can still get most colors (but not mine, grrr) on the EL website - so if this is your foundation I suggest you stock up now.

I love the way I look when I use this foundation. My color is Pearl. I apply it with my fingers and blend. Then I use a small amount of double wear foundation (1C1 Shell) on areas that I know I need some extra coverage or staying power. Then I set with loose or pressed powder. I think it makes my skin look flawless and it is such a great color match for my fair skin tone. Love it and will definitely repurchase.

I love this foundation but it is not available in a color that it light enough to match my skintone. When I used a self-tan on my face, this was my favorite foundation. It does not emphasize dry patches, it's lightweight, goes on beautifully, lasts until I take it off. I just really love it and I'm sad they don't have it in a lighter color.

This product is very sheer - just not enough coverage for me. I agree with other reviewers that it is buildable, but for me, it simply takes too much time (too many layers) to get the amount of coverage that i need. I wouldn't wear this foundation to go out, or for any event where I might be photographed, even though I have good skin. I would wear it to run errands or do chores or yardwork -- and for that, I don't think it's worth spending the $$$ for a high-end foundation. I'd rather get a drugstore brand for those purposes.

This foundation is fairly light in coverage, but can be easily built up to medium coverage without looking cakey or masklike. I bought it in Intensity 1, which is pretty much spot-on in terms of shade, undertones for me. I'm not exactly sure how to describe the finish. It's very natural, not overly glowy or matte. It's supposed to "equalize" your skin, and I do find that it controls the oil that builds up around my t-zone. I've worn it 3 times now, twice in warm environments, and it holds up nicely. I was lucky enough to buy this 20% because apparently it's d/c, and the SA said it was just going to be returned to the company anyway, otherwise I'd probably rate the price at 4. My skin often reacts badly to liquid foundations, but no acne has yet appeared (usually if a foundation is wrong for me, it happens after the first time!). Something is stopping me rating it a 5 though. I'm not sure why, I guess it just lacks a certain special something that seperates the good from the amazing. But this is a very good foundation, it's a shame that it seems to be discontinued!

I bought this foundation again when i ran out from the first bottle. It's a good deal when able to use the goodwill 20% off coupon. The foundation is spreadable. It doesn't give much coverage if you don't need much. My skin is oily and this foundation does make my face shiny. I hate the packaging because you can see there's a bit of foundation left on the bottle, but there's no way to squeeze it out. So, foundation in this package is very wasteful. It has variety of shades to choose from. I always have acne so i can't tell if this product really broke me out or not.

I'm white as a ghost with pink undertones and have a horrible time finding a good color match. I also don't like heavy coverage; makes me look old and cakey. Eeww. I scoured Sephora for the perfect balance between color and texture, but alas, nothing. I went to the Lauder counter at Macy's and found an excellent product for my dry-ish skin. This stuff blends great, does not settle into my pores, smells fresh and looks very natural and flattering. I am using Pearl and it's perfect for me. Highly recommend as it's not terribly expensive. I'm thrilled to death! :)

If you want a full coverage foundation, this is not it. I have pretty good skin to start with , and I was looking for a foundation to control oils in my t zone. This does it. It evens out my skintone more and makes me look so natural, healthy and radiant. I love the scent and how smooth it goes on. It's super easy to blend and the color matches my skin perfectly. I love it!

I always get complimented when I wear this foundation. It just makes my skin look so even. Not heavy at all, it's a very sheer coverage and leaves a very natural finish. I'm a little darker around the mouth, but this makes my skin look even and bright. If you want it to last all day, I suggest setting it with Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Powder. I had my makeup done for a wedding at Macys in the morning and it lasted all night. I had to touch up a little because I was dancing, but it didn't streak. I've purchased this 3 times already and I love it. THE KEY IS TO FIND YOUR PERFECT SHADE. My perfect shade is SANDY.

I do not like this foundation, and it's definitely not for me. I got a sample, so fortunately I didn't waste money towards it, but it just looks horrible on me. The foundation formula is good and bad. The good: it smells good (most of EL's stuff does), it feels nice and light, it isn't greasy and somewhat controls shine. The bad: it seems to crease like when I smile and I have to pat it out, it is very sheer like a TM (didn't even cover slight redness, much less any marks), the color looks very different in the car than in the store and doesn't have enough yellow for my Indian skin, and it somewhat controls shine. The packaging doesn't have a pump so thats in convenient, and its not a full tub so you can't even stick your brush in to get everything out, you just have to depend on pouring onto your hand. Although it might be more sanitary than a jar, its terribly inconvenient and I personally think you get very little product out near the end, unless you keep it upside down like a ketchup bottle. The price I don't know about because I bought a sample of this, but I honestly would not buy this unless they reformulated it.
**The sales lady gave me what she called a 10 day sample, so even though I don't plan on using this, I'd suggest asking for a sample that can last you a week or so just to be sure you like it.
UPDATE: After wearing the foundation (although I don't think it even deserves that title) for about 5 hours, I went to go wash my face. I used a make up remover and nothing came out. Nothing. Except for some concealer from around my nose, no makeup came onto my cotton balls. What kind of foundation disappears in that amount of time? The SA even set it with a powder. I've had tinted moisturizers that stay on longer. I'm taking off a lippie for that. I would never recommend anyone to buy this product.

LOVE the color. I got this in Pearl. Hate the coverage. It's too light and sheer for my liking. This would be wonderful for someone who hasn't got much to cover, who just wants a little skin pick-me-up. I found myself layering on more and more of this stuff just to get a medium coverage. Too much work for the look I'm going for. I have acne scars and lots of redness, and this didn't really conceal any of that. It does make the skin look nicer, just make sure you have nice skin to begin with. If they offered DW in this shade I would go back to EL foundation. For now, i've found a better full coverage foundation with lighter shades in prescriptives all skins mineral foundation. UPDATE: i wish i could combine the formula of the prescriptives foundation with the color of this foundation. the prescriptives is just too dark/warm against my skin, and i don't want to tan. going back to this foundation because it's the best color match i've found so far. I guess i'll just have to pile it on. i also use the dw powder, so maybe the coverage will be better with that over it as well.

This little find quite surprised me. It just about equals my old favourite foundation, EL Enlighten which is no surprise as this foundation is supposed to be its substitute. Nice glowy finish, does not break me out or dry me out. Good product for my mature yet combo skin. Light coverage but enough to cover my numerous flaws. Good spreadability. A very nice little foundie. A hint when shopping for an EL foundation, don't listen to the girls who are paid commissions to sell the newer foundations while encouraging you to overlook the older ones. Be sure to snag some samples of these older little gems - you might be surprised.

At Dillard's, I asked for a foundation to give med to light coverage... and keep me oil free!!! The lady said my skin is combination as opposed to oily which I have been all my life! I took her word for it... now I'm even more oily than before! Do like the brand.... but, I think I got a missmatch in formula. If you are oily in the slightest, I would not buy this one.
