I initially really liked this product. The first 2/3 times it was great! My skin was smooth, glowing and soft to touch. After using it for about 2 weeks my OILY skin was becoming dry and tight =( I was using this 2/3 time a week.
This product does last a long time, and the packaging is easy to use nice pump bottle however it is just too harsh for my skin and is not all that natural. I think this would be good for people that don't have sensitive skin. You certainly get exfoliation, a little too much! I switched over to a actual natural product. Indian Glow-ubtan( see my review on Indian Glow Face and Body Exfoliator- Ubtan) This is a few dollars more but works wonders as if u were getting professional facials every week.
Bottom line: This is a good exfoilator, but if you have sensitive skin I would not recommended because it exfoliates too much and it's a bit harsh. If your skin is not as sensitive I think this is a good product.

what a cool ptoduct. i bought this yesterday at sallys after asking the sales associate for a good exfoliator for my face. I ended up buying it, bringing it home and using it right away to see what all the hype was about. I loved it! it got rid of dead skin i was convinced i didnt even have- sering as though just shortly before i washed my fave with an exfoliating cleaner and i used my nutregena wave. Found out there was a whole lot more dead skin still there... was amzing how the product worked. Afterward, my skin was glowing, and it was extremely soft. I am giving this product 4and lippies because trying to get all the dead skin shedding off your face is more work than what it seems. i had to take an exfoliating sponge to get it all off- some of the skin was ultra stuburn to get off... and it took longer than what i would normally take for another exfoliant. overall its a great product and i would highly recommend it to other viewers! <3

This is a dupe for the Japanese product Cure. After searching for about a year for a product that works like Cure (without the $40 price tag), I read some reviews that pointed me to Frutique. I just bought it today for about $14 and I can say that it does work the same. The only difference I can tell is that it very sticky. I have to wash my face again after using this. But totally worth it!

I love this stuff soo much. I use Retin a so I still after months am getting dry patches and flaking around my chin area.(thanks winter) A while ago I went to Sally's and picked up some Frutique products but not this for some reason. The SA was raving about it and how it just removes dead skin. I didn't believe it till I tried it. All I can say is wow!! The dead skin comes off gently I use about 1 and 1/2 pumps and that seems to do the job well. I concentrate on the areas that need the most exfoliation and I am just so happy. I have oily/dry aka combo skin and I think this product could be used on all skin types. The price under 12 bucks is very reasonable and it really works!! Plus it lasts such a long time,
I kid you not and it takes a lot in a skincare product for it to impress me. I had no problems rinsing off the skin I just use cooler water. I wash with a gentle cleanser before hand, towel dry the go to town with this. Now the results I had blackheads around my nose area they are all cleaned out. No matter what I did I couldn't get rid of them till this. I think this product actually goes into the pore to remove the crud lol. I love it and will buy this over and over again. I especially recommend it for people using retinoids because you know how much peeling you get. You get a lot of product and it's all stuff that is good for your skin.
Frutique has become one of my favorite skin care lines! they do what they say and I luv that I also have not had any bad reactions at all from these products. This I will say is my HG product for exfoliating. Love this stuff! Highly recommended!!
EDIT: B/c it's so hard to get off no joke I us a gentle scrub after or a good washcloth to get the dead skin off it's a total biotch. I have noticed a difference in my skin so to me it's worth it.

I heard about Cure Aqua Gel but I'm in America so it's a bit hard to find haha
I use this instead! I just use it and then shower afterwards so it's easier to remove the balls of dead skin.
It smells funny though. Like some kind of candy...I said I wouldn't repurchase because it's a pretty big tube and you really only need 2ish pumps for your entire face, so it'll last for a looooooooong time xD

I am trying to get on board with this exfoliator, I really am but maybe I am just using it wrong because my face felt neither soft, smooth or exfoliated after using it. I made sure my face was clean and dry before using approx 2.5 pumps to cover my face and then proceeded to rub my skin with my fingers working the product into the skin. Yes I did get the little greyish white balls rolled up (which were a total biotch to get off the skin afterwards btw) but my face felt exactly as if I had done nothing at all. If anything my skin felt dried up and kind of sticky in a way even though I had rinsed thoroughly. I'll keep giving it a few more goes before tossing into the "worthless" pile but so far? Not impressed...

I love this stuff so much. I wish I could use it every day. It says to use on dry skin but I often use it in the shower on a damp face and it works just as well, and it's easier to rinse off the little balled up stuff in the shower than over the sink. This is my HG facial exfoliator. It leaves me a little red for a half hour or so after using, but I generally use it at night so it's not a big deal. Definitely recommend and will repurchase. I have 40+ skin, dry-to-normal, not acne prone.

I tried this for the forst time tonight based on MUA reviews and buzz on the boards. My skin feels great! As others have mentioned, it is a little hard to wash the sloughed off balls of goo away, but it's worth the effort.
One thing to note is that the balls are likely polymers that start rolling up as they become dried, and that is the major component of the balls themselves. I have no doubt that there is a good amount of exfoliation going on with this product, and maybe the polymer picksup some dead skin cells as you roll them around.
I will definitely continue to use this product, and am anxious to see how it does on my neck and decollete.

I was really intrigued when I heard about this product, and a lot of people rave about this stuff on the boards. You can't really beat the price -- you get a lot for very little money, and this product lasts because you only use a little at a time (I've found that one pump is good for my whole face). I don't really like the idea of seeing little balls of my skin, but I can't argue that this exfoliator doesn't work. It does. My skin is smoother, softer and I've noticed fewer blackheads since I started using it. I'm not a huge fan of the scent, but I can definitely overlook that for the results.
EDIT: Unfortunately, this stuff is a little too harsh for me. I don't get red, but my skin seems to break out even more.

This is one amazing product. This does what a Hungarian cosmetologist my mom recommended while she was alive; (my mom died in 2003) which was peel away layers of dead skin in a different fashion. While my lovely mom was more into skin care stuff than I ever was, and she invited me to spas and crap that I never really did appreciate, but wow, very fun to roll off layers of skin. My mom would spend WAY MORE MONEY on skincare than I ever would think about spending.
Not sure whether this will have any effect on other people. Just saying, I like it, and you therefore might want to try it if my review appeals to you.
UPDATE: Not using this much at all. If anyone cares to try a bottle of it, I will send it to you, for postage only. Not that I don't like it, only that I don't need it.

This product is a wonder! It's a clear gel & when it's rubbed into the skin, it balls up all the dead skin cells & dirt. I have chronically dry skin that flakes, peels, and looks patchy, especially in the winter. This product is a must if I want my foundation & makeup to look smooth. I imagine that it works just like the overly-hyped Cure Aqua Gel but at a fraction of the price (Cure = $35 / 250ml vs. Frutique = $13 / 200ml) and is far more accessible (Sallys Beauty).
.
APPLY---Start with dry skin, preferably already clean. I squeeze out one pump onto a fingertip (don't use your palms because then it will just clear the dead skin on your hands instead of your face). (Important note, more pumps of this product does not work as well as doing a thin layer multiple times). Then I put equal amounts on my cheeks, forehead, nose, & chin. I rub it into each part of my face individually and then all over. You do need to work quickly and spread it out evenly.
.
CLEANSE---The reviews here are accurate--the balled up dead skin is difficult to remove & gets stuck all over, especially in hair. Regular face splashing and washing does not work. The SA at the store recommended placing a warm washcloth on the face afterwards which works very well. For me, I like to use it just before I head into the shower. I just stick my face under the water for a few seconds & it's off. The warm & consistent flow of water gets the dead skin off immediately. It's almost like you need to submerge your face & then it will immediately come right off.
.
ODOR--Okay, so this thing stinks to high heaven. It smells likes poop. Which I guess is the way papaya smells, so it does smell like papaya, which smells like poop. I hate the scent but eh, it's cheap & works really well so I deal with it. It doesn't make your face smell but the product itself is just awful, especially when I'm exfoliating my nose, yuck.
.
PACKAGING---This is in a tall pump bottle. One full pump dispenses a lot but I've found that it's the right amount for my entire face. The bottle & pump itself is very sturdy & great. The pump is a twist lock & it comes with a cap too so it's safe for travel.
.
Anyway, this product works great & my skin has been happily smooth ever since. Whenever I feel or see patchiness, I'll just use this product (about 2x a week) and it's good as new. My makeup looks so much better & there has been absolutely no adverse effects on my skin. If you can deal with the stench, it's awesome. Don't spend all your money on the Cure Aqua Gel. This works wonderfully.

This stuff really does work great. It leaves my skin as soft and smooth as when I used the Anew Clinical Peel which is 30% glycolic acid. It really shrinks my pores and has helped me get rid of some bumps that have been on my temple for about 2 years now. I like to use it about 2 times a week. I have a 50% glycolic peel from MUAC but I find myself reaching for this more often. I don't care much for the smell but it fades quickly. I agree you need to rinse quickly after each section because if it dries onto my little white down on my face it's hard to get off.

I work at Sally's, so when I have nothing to do, I really look at all the products well. I was really intrigued by this line, and wanted to try some of it out. I don't usually do scrubs or exfoliants or masks on my skin, but I thought I really should start and so I picked this up and the Apricot mask. When you try it out, you know it works because the dead skin flakes off! You have to get it on and off pretty fast though, otherwise you will have a hard time getting the flakes off. So far, I LOVE this stuff! It makes me skin feel so smooth and already my whiteheads that never went away before, have suddenly disappeared! My skin is overall better by using this product! I would also recommend the apricot mask, it firms my skin and reduces my pore size, and the smell is GREAT!

WOW! I was looking for a good enzyme exfoliator and red the review for this product on this website and I am soooo happy that I did take a chance on this item. I love great products and usually pay extra for Peter Thomas Roth (my favorite) and other products at Sephora so the $13 for this at Sally was very inexpressive to me. They even had a sale so I bought two. This really works wonders and all over my body, not just the face! Dead skin balled up and was easily washed away with warm water. The smell is funny... like a fake fruity smell but it is not that bad. This is a great find and works well. I will purchase this again (and hope they make an unscented version).

I have extremely sensitive, combination, fair (like translucent white--I'm a redhead), easily clogged, acne-prone skin.
After my last period I got some nodules, a cyst, acne in places I rarely break out in (cheeks, and along the sides of nose closer to my eye), and a bumpy forehead. No matter what I used to exfoliate with, my skin would be oily the next day, but still have sheets and flakes of dry skin under that. I picked this up at Sally's to use for ingrown hairs on my legs (which it has done wonders for!), and decided to bite the bullet and try it on the corner of my jaw.
Gah! I got balls of dead skin within 7 seconds! So I moved on to my cheeks, chin... did my whole face. Its definitely easier to get the balls of skin off if you wash it off before the product really dries (its gel-like).
I find it works best on dry skin, but slightly damp skin is fine as well.
I did my entire face twice, my forehead three time, and my nose like 6 times (most of my dry skin is here).
My skin is soooooo smooth! It has a nice glow to it--no dull skin here!
And I noticed that when I finally finished all of my cleansing with this the first day, I had no more blackheads on my nose!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, I can still see the pores, but they're smaller and don't have that surface black gunk anymore :D This is the first product to ever do that! I usually manually extract the worst ones, which leaves me red. But no longer!
Also, this helped out my underarms (ingrown hairs) and rough elbows--pump a little product into palm and cup elbow and rub in circles.
I find it is better to start with less product and do one area at a time. So do your left foot (mine had lots of skin. Bleh!), wash it off, and do the right foot, or do your left calf and wash that off... etc.
I use this whenever my skin starts to get rough or clogged, but I find that a thorough use of this once a week, with spot treatment throughout the week works best for me. My skin is a bit red after using it, but I feel that its simply from rubbing my skin than it is from any ingredients. I've had less breakouts since using it, so it hasn't caused any acne.
Yes, it can be a little pricey-- $13 for almost 7oz, but it lasts quite awhile, and its absolutely worth it!

AMAZING. This is waaaay cheaper than the CURE exfoliating gel, and works just as good! All of my icky dead skin comes off without rough scratchy-ness...
Only bad thing about this stuff is that it contains Salicylic acid and Glycolic acid... I'm using differin, so using anything with these acids makes my face hurt/burn soo much. But it's so worth it <3
HG!

I was debating whether or not I wanted to try Cure Natural Aqua Gel Exfoliator. I've heard from YouTube gurus and blogs that it was one of the best (if not THE best) selling beauty products in Japan because of how gentle and effective it was. It's a clear gel that you massage onto clean skin and the enzymes in it gently slough off dead skin. I liked that concept. I'm always looking for gentle skincare, and I've recently sworn off of harsh scrubs. But after looking up prices -- that stuff is so expensive! Over $50 for something that's mostly made of water (which is one of its biggest selling points because it's supposed to be super gentle)! Too ridiculous, so I went in search for something similar at a more reasonable price. And I heard about this.
I picked this up at a local Sally Beauty Supply store for around $13. You get 6.8 oz. which is a pretty generous amount, in my opinion. It comes in a standing pump bottle with a clear cap. I love the pump because you can easily control how much product you dispense. It's supposed to work the same way as the Cure gel, but this one is infused with papaya fruit enzymes, a natural exfoliant. The gel is clear with little bubbles in it. The scent is a little bit hard to describe. It isn't particularly pleasant (I suppose it vaguely smells like papaya), but it doesn't smell bad either. I like that they didn't add any artificial fruity scent to it, so it's fine for me.
I massage this into my face for at least 30 seconds after cleansing and patting dry. I like to put a little dot of it on each facial area (forehead, chin, nose, each cheek, etc) to make sure every spot is exfoliated. It doesn't sting or feel irritating. The gel feels quite smooth. And when I move my fingers over it, I begin feeling little pieces of debris ball up with the product. These gray/white balls of dirt and product are supposed to be the dead skin being removed from the surface. It works very quickly. Some might think that this is just the product balling up, but I've tried using it again over the same spot after rinsing off, and I didn't get as much debris to come off the second time. So yes, it does seem to do a great job of removing dead skin and residue. It's fun to use, and I love seeing and feeling the instant results. It's easy to rinse off, and it leaves my skin feeling nice and smooth afterward. No usual dry flakes and patches around my nostrils and hairline. Directions suggest using this 1 to 2 times per week.
I have oily acne-prone skin, and this has not caused me any irritation or clogged pores. No redness like I get from other chemical exfoliants or scrubs. My skin is pretty much clear, but I do have some leftover dark marks from old pimples. I'm going to continue to use this to see how well it evens out my skin tone.
So far, I love it. I'm so glad I didn't shell out the $50+ for Cure. This has a great price, it's easier to find, and it's very effective and gentle. I would repurchase this in a heartbeat. I will update!

I absolutely love this stuff!!! Its the best facial exfoliator I've ever used, and I've used the naruko peeling gel and olays microdermabrasion peel and they don't even come close. First off you get a large bottle for 11.79 with your sallys card, secondly this bottle will last forever since you only use a tiny amount. After you wash your face and dry it completely, you take a tiny amount and rub it on your face in sections, say start with your forehead and rub it in circles for 30-60 seconds until the skin flakes start to come off, then you move on to the next section until you've done your whole face. Rinse it off throughly with warm water and follow up with either a mask or a good moisterizer. I want to try the rest of the frutique line, if its half as good as this one I can't wait to see the results on my skin.
