In the tube, it comes off as a dark, shimmery red shade, but on my lips it's quite light. I love the texture of these glosses - not tacky in the least. They do need constant reapplying, though. That orangey scent isn't quite as potent in my tube like in the previous tubes I've worn, but that's fine with me. I'm okay with the scent either way. It doesn't bother me - in fact, I like it. I do find that these glosses need assistance with a lip liner and I lined my lips with Jordana's "Cherry" lip liner. A perfect match. All in all, I'm satisfied with this gloss.

The color of this gloss disappointed me badly. It looks very nice soft golden red in the packaging, but on swatches and on the lips it is the brightest fucshia with almost invisible golden glitter. Not for me, but if you love fucshia - give it a try.
To my opinion NYX Round Lip Glosses are just as good as Mega Shine Lip Glosses. They are cheaper (mine were $1.50 each with international shipping), but you get less product too. Round glosses are somewhat less pigmented than Mega Shine, but many of the colors are unique and very beautiful.
Of 10 glosses I've got 3 have new scent, very similar to the Mega Shine. I believe this is their new formula. The rest glosses have lemon-citrus smell, not unpleasant to me, but I think the new one is much better.
