I used this shampoo once a week to remove buildup on my hair from hard water and oily products. While it's somewhat (useless) for -cone buildup, it was great at removing oil buildup, cleaning my scalp, and left my hair feeling clean without feeling stripped. It is somewhat drying, being a clarifying shampoo but it's still pretty good. It smells like delicious apple cider.
It is perfect (once a week) for combining with other sulfate-free shampoos that don't rinse clean.

Ok, the packaging isn't great because as with all shampoos and conditioners I'be bought this this brand, the top has eventually broken. I do like the product itself though. I have the oiliest hair in the world, and this stuff is still too much to use everyday. I use it as a once a week deep clarifying shampoo. It gets ride all all gunk and anything weighing my hair down. The smell is also fantastic.
DO NOT use it everyday. You will dry out your hair.

I use this once a week to remove any residue that the Green earth shampoo does not remove on other days. Find my hair feels very clean after and is very shiny. I am surprised something with no sulphate clarifies so well. Definitely a must.

LOVE this! Made my hair so soft, light and SHINEY! It feels soooo clean and healthy. No frizz! This is as good as using actual apple cider vinegar, but without the smell of vinegar. I followed with Live Clean Argan Oil Conditioner, makes a great combo. If you're looking for a more natural SLS-free clarifying shampoo that makes your hair feel great, get yourself a bottle of this! Its reasonably priced too, makes my hair as nice as when I use pricey salon products. I couldn't be happier with this shampoo, and I will buy again! (must stop touching my hair constantly... but its so soft I can't help it!)

This shampoo is amazing!!! After I use it my hair is so clean, any residue from my scalp and hair is gone. I love the smell. I use it about once a week, and use a loreal hair masque after, and my hair is so weightless and clean when it dries. And the best part about this line is that it's organic and vegan :)

I think this shampoo works best when you are the type of person who uses styling products regularly. It washes off residues really well. Also, it's impossible to use this product alone as it leaves the hair hard and all tangled up after rinsing. You will need to purchase the Live Clean Apple Cider finishing rinse as well. It gives a pretty good result when used together.

This shampoo smells nice and is good for clarifying. I found it to be a bit drying. Not bad though. I will give an update soon.

AWESOME PRODUCT! I decided to buy this, because i had been using burts bees shampoos.... but i realized they left residue. Also, they discontinued the old line and the new ones are all sucky now. :( - so to get rid of the residue which started to make my hair itch (and i think some residue came from the live clean healthy balance conditioner... i'll have to check) - i decided to buy this. I definitely wanted something natural (it's okay if it's not 100% ... but i don't want it to be dangerous). I had tried my sister's head and shoulder's green apple shampoo in the past, and it had worked great on my hair.... though it smelled a lot like chemicals and was not natural. Also, I was sooo surprised... but i got this for 3.79. That's only because it was 4.49 at rexall (in comparison to walmart 5.49 (though rexxall is usually more expensive)) .... and then i had the 1 dollar off coupon... i was sooo happy! I've only used it twice and it's been wonderfuly. I'll hopefully update later and i hope it works out with my hair cuase i hate wasting shampoo , and using shampoo that i hate. lol
edit:
OMG i just used it like maybe 4 times (like i took a shower on my hair like every other day, or maybe once after 2 days.....) and it worked amazingly (obviously with a good moisture rich conditioner) ... my hair, for the first time ever, actually stays down... and not like the greasy down... but it feels so light, and my pony tail is perfect. I'm really glad with this (but i think it may be too drying if used everyday... and i'm too scared to try)

OMG loooove this shampoo. It is absolutely amazing. Smells so gorgeous and works like a shine bomb for my hair. The smell is like fresh apple cider, as opposed to a fake smelling green apple scent with no trace of a vinegar smell whatsoever. Now I get all the benefits of apple cider vinegar with a beautiful scent. All this with a plush, sulfate free lather that clarifies without drying my hair out. And that lather is sooo good. Even in my hard water area I only need a bit and it lathers up real easy. I actually trust it to clarify silicone and mineral deposits off my hair strands even though it is sulfate free. I can literally feel and see that product buildup gone, my hair color literally shimmers because of this gunk removal. My hair is left swingy and light. I don't feel guilty about washing my hair even daily with this soft, organic sulfate free cleanser. It has so many things going for it, vegan, 98% plant derived, biodegradeable, sulfate free, phosphate free, Bragg's Organic apple cider vinegar added to the mix, available locally and Canadian made! no parabens either! amazing. I can wash my hair, recycle the bottle and know that no beautiful animals were hurt in its making. The matching conditioner is also lovely. Super light, and detangles like butter. Actually all the live clean shampoos and conditioners are all this way. I even wash my makeup brushes with it! Really great product and company, the only clarifier i'll use.

I was interested in trying apple cider vinegar on it's own as I have heard good things. I thought this would be a nice place to start as this product does contain Brag's apple cider vinegar but actually smells nice. This clarifies beautifully without leaving my hair feeling super dry and stripped. I will use this weekly to remove the styling products and dry shampoo from my hair. The conditioner on the other hand is super super light and I need something with more detangling power. Both nice products, though.

It's been a long time I tried a drug store shampoo rather than salon ones. This one definitely doesn't disappoint. I wash my hair every other day and I use dry shampoo on the days that I don't wash. I do find build up on my scalp. This shampoo gets rid of build up, makes my hair bouncier and doesn't dry my hair. The smell is light and fresh. The price is great compared to what I normally pay for the salon brands. I still use an pricey conditioner though since end of my hair is dry. I definitely will buy this again.

Fantastic!
I am a user of natural shampoo, which can make your hair very very greasy as it does not contain harsh cleaning ingredients. I get oily hair like a 5 o'clock shadow because of that!
However, every other wash, I use this prior to the natural shampoo and it does a great job of cleaning the buildup and oil. It is an inexpensive way to be able to use natural shampoo without feeling gross - or to remove products from hair with something natural! Highly recommend.

Take it from a girl who could never truly fall in love with shampoo due to most of them sending my scalp to an itching frenzy. I am a natural blonde and I highlight my hair which is fine, prone to tangling (think: tumbleweed nape), split ends and all that good stuff.. To add insult to the injury, my hair is also oooooooooily, we're talking me having to wear my hair up the day after I wash it, no way I can wear it down, it looks as if a cow licked my scalp. Ew. Now onto the 'poo
I've been looking at it at our local DS for a while but the price didn't seem very attractive. I saw it on sale at WalMart for $5; in fact, the entire line was on sale so I picked up the following: Apple Cider clarifying shampoo, Exotic Shine Bali Shampoo and Conditioner as well as Exotic Nectar Argan Oil Conditioning Mask. $20 for 4 products? Yes, I'll try them! =)
You will love this clarifying shampoo if your hair is anything close to mine or if you want a gentle product buildup removal without stripping your hair (blondes especially should be wary of clarifying shampoos as it turns hair brassy). It lathers very well so you don't need much, and make sure to emulsify it with a bit of water to get more suds and using less concentrated product.
My routine:
Pre-treat hair with hot coconut oil on the ends
Wet hair
Apply a nickel size drop of shampoo with a bit of water to the palm of your hand, emulsify
Wash roots only. It's very important for those with really dry hair as technically only your scalp needs most attention since you brush out most residue out of your hair anyway. Don't worry, as you rinse the suds will cleanse the rest of your hair perfectly.
DO NOT repeat with the same shampoo! I did it once and I deeply regretted it. If you must rinse and repeat, use a moisturizing shampoo to replenish any moisture that may have been stripped off your hair (and since you protected your tips with your favourite oil you don't have to worry about that!) For my second wash I use Bali Oil, makes my hair super shiny.
Rinse and condition or deep condition.
My hair has never been happier =)

I love this shampoo! I was on a search for a good, inexpensive clarifying shampoo, and because we don't seem to carry Suave's or V05's celebrated clarifying products here, I was left with few choices. This smelled pretty, and I've used the brand Live Clean before with good results, so I thought I'd give it a shot.
While it doesn't necessarily clarify to the extent I'd expect of a specifically branded clarifying product (meaning it doesn't get rid of a lot of buildup any more than any other shampoo) it does leave my hair feeling a little bouncier, a little more voluminous; there's none of that dried-out, stripped-down feeling that Neutrogena's anti-residue shampoo used to give me after extended use. It also leaves my hair feeling super soft and silky without weighing it down. The sweet scent of apples lingers in the hair for a little while (although not all day) so it also makes for a pleasant start in the day. At about $6, I'd buy again, although I'm still on the hunt for something that actually does clarify.

I'm a natural Ash blonde who had highlighted her hair for many years. This fall, I was tired of being blonde and decided to dye my hair copper. I did look fantastic but it was fading really quickly and getting really brassy. I decided to stop coloring my hair and getting back natural.
I went to a hair dresser and my hair got nutralized. After many strand tests and a process of almost two hours my hair got only slightly nutralized. With strong orange still in it.
I've had about 3 table spoon of ACV to this shampoo and after only one use (I've let it sit for about 5 minutes) my hair is finally getting more neutral. I couldn't be happier. I recommand it for everybody who's trying to find a natural way to get rid of orange/red in their hair.

Seems to work well as a clarifying shampoo without being too drying (I've only used one other clarifying shampoo to compare it to, and while that was drying it was also volumizing..this one didn't weigh down my hair and got rid of all the product, but I wouldn't really actually call it volumizing)..but I did need to use conditioner afterward to detangle even my fairly short hair, though not much. Also, it gets rid of most of the residue when I first wash the semi-permanent dye out of my hair without seeming to strip the color (I initially bought it as I've heard vinegar rinses are good for helping semi-permanent colors absorb right after dying).
I also found another use for it - as an apparently quite effective sulfate-free body wash for acne (which Apple Cider Vinegar's known to be good for)..even better than the Desert Essence Vanilla Chai Body Wash I was previously using that had salicylic acid (I think because ACV is also anti-bacterial as well as an exfoliant due to the citric acid). It did seem to dry my skin just a tad (but didn't make it flaky, just quite tight), but also dried up my spots and evened my skin tone very quickly without irritating my sensitive, eczema-prone skin (the irritation is why I've previously been able to use ACV, even when very diluted..but this seems to be a perfect balance).
EDIT: 3/19/11: You have to dilute it a lot to be able to use it as a body wash without it drying your skin out, and it even dries my scalp with regular use. It is however a great occasional (monthly) clarifier and body wash for acne, just not suitable for frequent use with my particular (finicky) skin/hair.

I have used the following brands of dandruff shampoos:
Head and shoulders- intense, dry scalp, classic clean
Fructis- dry scalp
Nizoral
T-gel
Selsen blue
and many others...
THIS SHAMPOO IS THER ONLY THING THAT HAS WORKED FOR MY DANDRUFF.
I have dandruff that falls on your shoulders, my scalp bleeds and itches constantly. After using this shampoo once, all the dry skin on my head was almost gone. I use dandruff shampoos along with a moisturizing shampoo but you dont need to with this. This clairifying shampoo cleans intensly without all the harsh chemicals and drying effects of a usual clarifyer. I have tried neutogena and many other clairifyers. This shampoo smells nice and refreshing like apple cider but it dosnt really linger in your hair after which i like becuase no one really wants thier hair to smell of cider... I can now go into the second day without my hair getting oily, as well as having a healthy scalp.
THIS IS AN AMAZING PRODUCT. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPOINTED. LOVEEE!
P.S it also lathers very well for not contain sulfates. I love a rich lather and i would defintley give this 4 out of 5 for lather as well!
