I am in LOVE with this cleanser! This stuff is brilliant. I have been a huge fan of the Eminence Lemon Cleanser for three years and I usually use that every morning. My skin is very dry, flaky, sensitive, reactive, rosacean, acne-prone, and I have some fine lines. My dermatologist is the one who first recommended the lemon cleanser for me (she's crazy for this brand) and I do love it but thought I would try the rose because I am so dry at this time of year (March). The lemon is perfect for me in the summer but this one is my new winter HG. I use this in the same way I use all cleansers: I massage it into my face without wetting first, massage for one minute, wipe off with Shiseido cotton pads, then splash with lukewarm water for 30 seconds. This cleanser does remove sunscreen and makeup (I used a separate eye makeup remover.) It leaves my skin very soft and moist, clean but not stripped or squeaky clean. It's important to wipe it off with cotton pads or use a washcloth because it doesn't all rinse off with just water. This does have a natural rose smell (not artificial or old-lady-ish) but it doesn't last on the skin once it's been rinsed off. This is a wonderful product that I would highly recommend to anyone with dry skin, rosacea, or fine lines. (BTW, I know Paula Begoun is not a fan of this brand but this is one of those cases where she and I have the opposite review of a product/brand.)

This lotion like cleanser really sooths my dry winter rroseaca skin. It hasn't broken me out or caused additional redness. It takes all of my makeup off and smells like fresh cut roses. It's not overwhelming though. I really like this. I wish it were cheaper but the size is generous and last a while.

Definitely lovely - the smell of fresh roses each time you cleanse your skin, its great ingredients, its ability to remove light makeup (tissue off) and the glow it leaves behind is worth every penny, however it is the number of pennies that has me taking a lippie off.

LOVE this cleanser. I use it every morning, and I just love the way this feels on my skin. It's my first creamy cleanser ever, and so soft and smooth on my skin. I had to get used to the non-lathering thing, and I was previously used to overly tight acne face washes that I probably didn't need in the first place! My skin feels "calm" with this cleanser...that's the most accurate way to describe it! I love the rose scent also. Worth every penny. I have combo skin, gets a bit oily in summer, so I may have to switch to a different cleanser, but for now, this is the ONE.

I really like Eminence products. They are good quality products. A bit on the expensive side, but a little goes a long way, and you get a good amount of product that will last a few months. I like this cleanser. It is for normal, combination, and dry skin, but if you have really dry skin, I would buy the Lemon Cleanser. I use this as my regular cleanser, but I also use the Biodynamic Lemongrass cleanser (I will review this another time because I'm not sure about it yet) twice a week when I use the Clarisonic. This cleanser has no foam, which was difficult for me in the beginning, but I got used to it. When I first started using it, my skin was over-exfoliated, and parched from Retin-A. I stopped using the Retin-A for two nights, and used Jurlique's Skin Balancing Face Oil, and my skin was almost back to normal in three days. I use two pumps (I'm sure you can get away with using only one, but I use two), and massage it on my face, then rinse with lukewarm water. It rinses off easily, and my face is soft, and has a glow. I'm becoming addicted to 'the glow'. It smells like Oil of Olay original beauty lotion (roses). If you are of a certain age, you just know that smell. It is a pink lotion, with no grainy texture, just a smooth lotion that spreads easily. This is a bit pricey. $38.00, but a little goes a long way, and once you try it, you will probably never look back. Like I said, I do use another Eminence cleanser, and I use the Strawberry Rhubarb Dermafoliant, as well as several other Eminence products. I need to mix it up to keep my skin guessing, or it will get used to the products, and I would probably lose my glow. I switched to organic skincare because I tend to be allergic to a lot of chemicals in standard skincare, and I'm so glad I did. I'm also allergic to salt pellet filtered soft water, so I've been dealing with hyperactive skin since I was 9. Eminence products seem to keep my skin in check. I will keep buying this cleanser even though I am going to try the Coconut, and the Blueberry, as well. Like I said, I like to keep my skin in check by not letting it get too used to any one product. I never have breakouts with any of their products, and that removes a lot of stress from my life. Wondering if your skin is going to act up, next week, or next month, or the NEXT DAY sucks, and sadly it took me many years to figure out that it wasn't 'hormonal' or 'genes', but it was the wrong chemicals in good products. Eminence packaging could use some updating because it's very granny-like to me. Nothing fancy, and no frills. Just something that you might run across on your grandmother's (or great grandmother's) dresser next to the Oil of Olay, and White Shoulders perfume. Like I said, it could use some updating. A friend of mine saw the bottle, and thought it was something I scored at the 99 cent store. It's nice to know that they are more interested on providing an excellent product, than charging me for packaging, though. EDIT 8/10/11 This is still my go-to product when nothing else is working. I stopped using it for a while because it was a little too moisturising when I had a bout of SD, but I'm back, and my skin is glowing. Thinking about trying the coconut cleanser, but too afraid of the SD/demodex coming back. A wonderful product.
