I have PPP skin w/ rose undertones.

Good: This color is really pretty and a great highlighter or base for me (i have pale skin with pink undertones). It lasts a very long time even applied dry. I have had my little tub of it for years and it's still going strong!

Bad: It can be hard to get it to show up, it certainly isn't a strong color, but that is why I use it as a highlighter or base.

I was going through a stash of makeup that I've barely touched and was about to chuck this, when I decided to put some on my lids. It looks unimpressive in the small black pot of a container, but on it's simply beautiful! It gives that angelic wintry eye look. I would say the color borders on a shimmery violet/white color. Goes well with my brown eyes.

I love Jane products, they aren't available in the UK so I swap for them or get lovely MUAers to CP them for me. Shrinking Violet is a very pretty shade. I think its more lilac than a true violet. My only complaint is that in my opinion its not as pigmented as some of the other eyezings are. I wouldn't buy this again as I doubt I'll ever finish the one I have.

This color is practically non-existent. I personally knew that it would not show up but I could not pass up the price of $.70 at Target. I just have a penchant for Jane shadows in my makeup box. This could be used as a wash to tone down some color or as a base for a pink/purple eye look.

This is one of the few Eye Zings I have not liked. Shrinking Violet is a light lilacy lavender shade that has zero pigmentation, even used wet and having applied three layers. It is not even pigmented enough to use as a highlighting shade and the slight shimmer in the pan is pretty much nonexistent on skin. Jane has pleanty of other purple shades worth checking out.

This is a very pretty color. It's a pale, pale violet color and goes on very sheer and a slight bit shimmery. Great quality and staying power as with all Jane eyeshadows. Love how it fits into my MAC palettes! Super cheap too, only about $3 each.

I love this. It looks really good on my brown eyes. I had no trouble getting it to show up. Jeez, I don't really know why anyone is complaining. It's the best eyeshadow I've ever owned.

The lavender did not show up as much as I would have liked. I tried wetting it to make it darker but it left the powder hard and dark on the top so I had to rescrape through it and it did not go on my eyes. Wouldn't recommend this color!

I am usually a fan of all things Jane, but I just can't recommend this one, at least not for people with my coloring (PPP, green eyes). The color is beautiful in the pot, if only it showed up that way on my eye. I have to LAYER the color to notice an effect, and then it fades away halfway through the day. It does look pretty to begin with though, a subtle light lavendar that brightens up the eye area quite a bit. I would definitely use this on days when I could touch up frequently and just wanted a hint of color.

I'm really not sure why this shade has received so many poor reviews. I had no problem with it showing up on me (I'm PPP/LLL), though it is subtle. And it did appear as a very light lilac, not white. I like the fact it is matte, so many of my other eyeshadows are shimmer, it's a nice change of pace. Applied with the eye zing Plum Perfect dry on the lid and wet as eyeliner created a very nice look. I would buy this again.

it is too too pale, i was expecting BRIGHT from the reviews on other eye zing stuff, i guess i'll just have to try a different shade.

Shrinking Violet is a pastel lilac color. Even though the color is pretty I would not purchase this again. I had to layer this to get it to show up on my LLL skin. It would only stay on for 30 minutes tops. I would recommend MAC's Digit shadow instead of this.

Was wondering what all the fuss about Jane Eye Zings was all about, until I read the other reviews for Shrinking Violet. Discovered that I just have a bad color! Like other reviewers, this color barely showed up on my LLL skin. I have to layer and layer to get even a hint of color. Then, it's best only used as a base shadow. I'll have to toss this one and try to get my hands on this legendary Magical Mushroom I keep hearing good things about!

This is my least favorite eyezing. It trully has no pigment what soever.. and although looks nice in the pot, goes on like nothing on my lids. Completly worthless in my opinion.

Pssshhh. Why do I feel like I just rubbed chalk all over my eyelids? Absolutely no violet tones, super matte. you might as well be wearing white. A very poor white at that. I love eye-zings, but the fabulous people at Jane ought to concentrate on making those wonderful shimmers we love. C'mon guys stop wasting your time with this shade and bring back magical mushroom and twillight zone! Pleeeeasssse???

In the pot this shade is a very pale pink/purple. I applied layer upon layer of this stuff and absolutely NO color deposits onto my eyelids. Even with a cream base under the e/s I get no results. Exactly what is the point??? ZERO quality, ZERO color, and ZERO pigmentation. If it was possible, I would give this product ZERO points.

This is a pale milky violet shade. It applied very chalky and clumpy and it looked awful on my lids.
